Everything about this place is fantastic. Trust me, I frequent this gem often. Why? The wonderful food, the friendly staff, different spaces, always changing craft beers, Sunday Roasts, dog friendly outdoor area...the list goes on.

WOW.. INCREDIBLY NOISY! decent pub with ok food. The building is old and has various dining areas. People in wheelchairs will find this place challenging as there are narrow passage ways between eating areas. Moderate choice of roast of the day or a few other Items. Vegetarians will have at least one choice.

Greeted and seated as we arrived. Efficient, well trained, and really friendly service staff. My roast of the day, lamb rump, was just delicious. Loved the sides. Others enjoyed a beautifully cooked porterhouse and schnitzel. Thank you for a beautiful lunch, in warm, friendly surrounds.

We’ve been coming to the Junction for years and have never been disappointed. From the delicious food and wine selection to the friendly and attentive service, this is one of our local favourites. We need more places like this in the west!

Ate dinner on the deck on a warm summer’s night and it was wonderful! Fabulous food, great service with a true gastro-pub vibe with reasonable pricing. I LOVED the fact they served only local beers supporting our local neighbouring breweries at good prices. You could taste which one you liked better and alcohol free options too. My partner was able to find a couple he liked and might be converted 😉. The zero alcohol cocktail menu was terrific as well! Absolutely going to be a regular! 🙌

From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by such friendly, outgoing staff who were incredibly accommodating throughout the entire visit. The service was fast, and the food? Simply delicious – I couldn't have asked for a better meal. The atmosphere was perfect, and it truly made my birthday one of the greatest days ever. I’d also like to give a special shoutout to Stella, who was phenomenal! She was so friendly and efficient, and really went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. She should definitely be noted for her outstanding service. I will definitely be back regularly – probably fortnightly at this rate! Thank you again for such a wonderful experience. Great pub with friendly staff, excellent beer selection and food really improved over last little while. Love coming for happy hour or steak night or just a good meal/beer catch up with friends. Beer garden and space with large room out back makes it very family friendly. Next to station so easy to get to.

A fantastic pub. My mum and I were fortunate enough to stumble across this pub whilst visiting Newport. The food was exceptional, but more importantly we had the most wonderful and kind service from Trina. We can’t wait to go back. Highly recommend.

Our family has been going to the Junction for 40+ years, and the current owners, have it tuned it just right. The steak night on Wednesday is just marvelous. You might think for $25 you'd get an offcut piece or perhaps a small fancy piece of steak, NO. You get a proper size steak, chips and salad cooked exactly as you would like it. Its not just the steak, the schnitzels are also wonderful, soft on the inside and HUGE. Nice local beers on offer and very extensive wine list. Great feed, atmosphere and staff are wonderful.

Just went to the junction for lunch with my partner and our pug. Such a lovely experience and great food and customer service .thankyou .we can't wait to come back next weekend for lunch for my birthday .

The food, wine and service are just exceptional. Menu has usual pub fare, but spot on. The specials are...special, and worth regular visits. Yes some dishes are slightly more expensive that the average pub, but worth it. Five meals and counting, and each have been perfect

I had “pork ragu” which was one of the worst meals I’ve had in a long time. It was chunks of pork mixed with ham hock, foul. Kids meals were not really for kids. Overall a very bad experience, won’t be encouraging others to go. Very noisy. Service was kind and friendly.

Amazingly friendly and accommodating. We came as a large group for a later dinner without a booking. They were very accommodating, allowing our group to pick a space and moving tables around. Really clear about ordering and service. Food was good, staff amazing.

This is our go-to local pub because the staff are always so welcoming and go the extra mile, the food is top-notch and there are great weekly specials. The highlights are the Wednesday steak nights and the Sunday roast night! Kids eat free before 6 and the meals are actually good quality kids meals, like homemade (delicious) bolognese, not just nuggets and chips. Highly recommend making this pub your go-to pub too!

Fantastic is all I can say. The fish and chips, the veal special and the cheese burger were amazing as too was the service and atmosphere and of course the beer! Just saying!!! Went there again and ate the food below. Again amazing. 6 months later. Great to see consistency.

Really really nice food and good service. A bit pricy with you will have a good experience! Somehow they were rushing us for the meal (keep checking on if they could take the plates) even there were only handful people due to the rainy weather.

The last 5 visits to this local gastro pub have served me such delicious food. I have had the fish special multiple times because each time it has be scrumptious, and last night I ordered the lamb shank cooked to perfection. My husband had the Basque cheesecake dessert which he said was delicious - although it did have more chocolate than I expected. This pub still has it's popular items on the menu such as the Parma and pie of the week. (The only negative for last night was a friend had the cauliflower main dish and she thought it was a bit ordinary for a main). I think there is a new head chef and I have to say congratulations to creating such good food. I'll be coming back again and again and again........

Roast of the day on Sunday was pretty good. I would have like to maybe have a bigger serve as it felt a little small and I was still very hungry afterwards. The service was great and pub was great. Love the fact it came with a Yorkshire pudding. Also another small bit of feedback, maybe serve it with a gravy boat so people can drown their Yorkshire pudding in gravy if they wish. (Which I would)

Terrific venue out back for private functions- we held a post funeral wake there. The staff were delightful and the food very tasty. Highly recommended

The food was good, and so was the service by the waitresses and the barman. However the manager, or chef, need to be trained in customer relations. When the two ladies in our group ordered cups of tea, and paid for them, we were told that they didn't have any milk. I'd have thought that a carton of milk could have been bought from the IGA, less than 100m away. Or the servo which is not much further away. Initially the waitress said this would be done, then somebody obviously said not to do it. It would have been a five minute job for one of the many staff members. If this had been done we would have praising them on good service. However, we were told that this wouldn't be done and instead they refunded the $10 for the teas. Very poor customer service, in my opinion. Firstly that they had no milk at 6:30pm, and secondly no milk for those clientele that would still want coffees in their restaurant later in the evening. And it was not a good look for the interstate visitors in our group. We won't be back and we will tell our friendship groups about the poor service at the Junction Hotel as well.

Upsettingly we had a bad experience with rude management who bullied our group. We were seated in the cold outside with no heaters (despite many requests) and then rudely accused of intoxication when it wasn't the case. When we questioned the unfair treatment in a very reasonable manner we were told to leave. We spent a lot of money but from the moment we were seated we were treated like nuisances.

Had a lovely lunch with my mother in law and husband, we elected for the share plates bar one which we ordered 3 of as was not a share. We had the pork hock croquettes with pork crackling, chicken fried in buttermilk and the tuna tartare. All were super. Washed down with a lovely French rose and some sparkling water. Finished with black coffee.

An improptu drink turned into a very nice dinner. Thankyou.

Really enjoyed our meals, dinning area was very nice and service was fantastic! $25 steak night is very good value for the quality. Our steaks were cooked perfectly. Our kids really enjoyed their pasta dishes too. We will be returning very soon.

gnocchi was excellent and the table service was prompt. 10% surcharge for either being a Weekend or some other excuse, so just add that to the advertised menu prices.

Guys we ordered the squid rings earlier and they were awful. There was a string like rubber band membrane in every calamari ring we bit into. I googled it and it said it comes from frozen Calamari or the membrane not been removed by the chef if it’s fresh. Unpleasant eating experience anyway. The Mrs still finished them because I didn’t tell her what was going on til she finished lol. Have to blame the chef on this one.

Highly recommend the Junction for either a few drinks and/or a great pub meal. I did both and will definitely be going back. The service was fantastic, all the staff were accommodating, helpful and happy.

Called ahead and lunch was until 3pm and then dinner starting at 5pm. Luckily hit the $25 Steak special on Wednesday which really hit the spot. Good range of beers and wine it appeared, but could not partake as I was driving. Highly recommend

nice spot for after work dinner & drinks, i had the plantien parma (i think thats what its called) basically, vegetarian version of chicken parma, with chips and salad, enjoyed it out in the beer garden with the girls.

Excellent, attentive, patient staff taking care of us. Everyone was very understanding of my newly diagnosed, very extensive allergy list! Staff went out of their way to chase up all of our requests. I only ordered fried calamari, however when it arrived, it looked and tasted like frozen supermarket calamari which was microwaved. It didn't look fried and it certainly didn't look like the calamari photo on the digital menu. Made me feel sick - waste of $17. Otherwise, the staff were super friendly and helpful and the atmosphere is great.

The only place to have the roast of the day .. Last week the pork roast was the best ever until this week with the roast lamb that could only be described as OMG. If I was confident that there was no cameras watching I would have licked the plate clean. Bring on next weeks roast of the day....

We went to this pub for stake night! The service was great and food was excellent!!

We went here for our niece's 30th birthday on Friday night, about 20 of us so we were seated outside under cover, would be nice on a warm day but it was cold. Parking is limited and its situated on a one way street, proving parking to be challenging. The pub as a great pub feel about it, the menu is small, 5 mains to choose from, typical pub grub, with parmas, steak, pie but we didn't fancy any of that so we chose 4 starters to share, sour dough bread 4 slices with goats cheese, olives, lamb skewer 1 per serve and a bowl of chips, between 2 of us we had 5 drinks, 3 wines & 2 beers, this was over $100, we thought it was pricey for what you got but lets face it, the prices of everything are increasing. Food was ok, but nothing outstanding that would make us want to go back.

Food was over an hour wait for a schnitzel, parma and two medium steaks when there was 15 people in total in the venue. Schnitzel was overcooked. Personally not a fan of craft beer and would have liked an option of a commercial beer like a Carlton draught. Toilets weren't clean either.

I went to a function on Fri 8/12/2023 and drove from Albury to attend. I have to say, it was well worth the drive there and back in one day, the food was delicious 😋 I tried the porterhouse steak as well as the pork belly & they were the best I’ve had out in so long. I thoroughly recommend this restaurant 100%.

Was greeted just inside the hotel and shown to a cramped space for 6 of us. Service was relatively prompt for drinks whereas food slow and not all brought out at the same time. Some of us had almost finished eating by the time others were just starting. I paid $38 for a risotto that was runny and salty. There were 4 prawns and 4 miniscule mussels. Disappointing to say the least as my expectations were high.

My partner and I dropped in for an improtu dinner on a Friday night. The friendly staff greeted us immediately at the door and saw us to our table. The service all night was excellent - attentive, fast and very knowledgable about the food and extensive wine list. We both had delicious meals - the pie of the day and the steak special. The food was full of flavour, with generous serves of fresh ingrediants that were cooked to perfection. The atmosphere was great too - a mixed crowd of happy diners - the place was buzzing! As we enjoyed our meals and drinks, we watched with envy all the plates of yummy food going out to other tables. We will be back for sure to try more dishes very soon! We went for a last minute lunch with the inlaws and have to say it was probably the best lunch we've had in years. The gnochi was perfect, steak perfectly cooked with the best red wine reduction I've ever tasted, the pie was tasty with perfect pastry. Even the kids parma was juicy and perfectly cooked. We have found our new local!

The staff were so friendly and helpful and the food was great. Would definitely recommend the pie and mash with a glass of the house red!
