Nightcap at Skyways Hotel

Surprising quiet for a hotel. Super comfy beds, excellent shower, bistro just down the hall. (And if you are into that sort of thing...pokies) Staff are super friendly. Only con I found was I was too comfortable to get out of bed at 3am for my flight!!!! The hotel/bistro/gaming rooms are wheelchair accessible but the accommodation is not. The rooms are but there is no way a wheelchair can fit in the bathroom.

What a dump. Would not recommend. Wouldn't even let my dog stay there.

Great rooms. Very clean. Surprisingly quiet. Only thing we didn't like was the super soft beds. Personal preference!

Thanks for a lovely quiet safe place to stay for the night .Your bed was amazingly comfortable, room service amazing quick Room small and clean , nothing fancy but just what you need for a work trip , meals are huge eat it all , doggie bag for my puppies . Thanks will be back again|Nice place to chill watch Netflix and chill.

Great place for a short stay, but would be good if staff advised quest of function room upstairs with live band. Noisy but stopped at 10pm.

Louer cet hôtel est une erreur, nous avons endurer du bruit tous les soirs jusque tard et des fourmis dans la chambre et le lit : Nous avons louer cet hôtel pour 5 nuits et quel erreur ! Nous avons été dérangés par le bar de l’hôtel tous le soirs avec beaucoup de cris et de musique jusqu’à tard, et le dernier soir la salle des fêtes (située juste au dessus des chambres 🤷‍♂️😑) était louée donc des bruits de pas, des sauts et de la musique jusqu’à minimum 23h Au delà du bruit nous avons perdu de la nourriture en nous réveillant au 2nd matin car la chambre était infestée de fourmis !! Du sol au murs en passant par quelques unes dans le lit, je vais faire une demande de remboursement partielle car cela ne devrait pas arriver pour un hôtel 3 étoiles

Dined and stayed a few times here. Excellent service, food and staff who are always extremely over accommodating and friendly. A big shoutout to Jess in the bistro as she always goes above and beyond (and deserves a pay rise!)

A great place to enjoy a drink and have a little fun in the pokies. Easy to park and convenient to the shopping center. Nice and friendly staff as well

Wir hatten die schlimmste Nacht unserer Reise in diesem Hotel. Eigentlich waren die Betten bequem und die Ausstattung gut, doch die Zimmer sind extrem hellhörig. Wir haben kein Auge zugetan, denn unsere (wohl betrunkenen) Zimmernachbarn haben die ganze Nacht rumgeschrien. Die Mitarbeiter haben die Gäste auf unsere Nachfrage zwar kontaktiert, doch der Lärm wurde nur schlimmer. Zudem war laute Musik zu hören. Nicht nochmal.

The rooms were fairly decent, minus the single beds Ben was lovely & has amazing customer service, plus all the other staff Minus grumpy Linda - it's like she doesn't even want to be at work. She'll give you a headache over minuscule things & really should just retire as her poor attitude just kills the vibe at Nightcap Skyways ✌️

Whilst the service was great. The room was not like shown in the picture at all - some serious photoshopping and over use of wide angle lens. The room was unclean, very small and the ceiling in the bathroom was mouldy. Unfortunately, the walls are very thin so it was noisy. The bed wasn't comfortable but the sheets were clean. Close to the airport which was handy.

Dreadful in almost every way.||Paper thin walls. I could clearly hear the phone calls next door was making, I knew when they were showering and going to the toilet.||Tiny room. Not much space at all to move||Smashed glass in the window, which was obstructed anyway.||Took a shower and half way through, the shower head fell off.||Receptionist looked, and sounded, pissed off that my colleagues and I had the audacity to check in. In fairness, we did disturb her for checking her phone. Our apologies for being so inconsiderate.||Near-ish the airport which is a plus I suppose, but it's not exactly what you'd describe as good value. It's not cheap, and for the standard of hotel, it really should be.

Worst experience ever. I travel for work, and seen many places in different cities and country towns but this was a next level. Booked the room with breakfast but I was given a pack including cereal and a pack of dairy milk, no dairy free option and now bowl in the room. No tissue anywhere in the room, no staff around to ask any questions, parking is just side the highway and you gotta walk through the pokies to get to the room. Room size is a joke, no existing powerpoint for kettle. Toilet unclean, bedsheets dirty, and air conditioner was not working. I don't mention that stains on mugs. Amount of noise at night time was unbelievable. I don't recommend it.

Very unfriendly

1. The sheets have wet and dry yellow mark on it! 2. Pillow cases stunk 3. Empty tubes of shampoo and conditioner displayed nil to use 4. No face washers to use 5. Toilet paper almost empty on the toilet handle 6. Toilet smells Receptionist was nice. But only while you cueck in as there seemed to be nobody around. Location is good, but the condition of the room when we checked in was disgusting, dirty and not worth the money I paid for.... Not recommended unless they train their cleaners properly!!!! Will not come back as I was traumatized with what we saw!!! Have some pictures to prove but won't do it!!!

Great value , convenient location near the airport for single night stopover or short stay. Rooms are tiny but spotlessly clean and impressively very quiet. Mattress was terrible though and uncomfortable , needed to be replaced . TV power light too bright and no way to turn it off, adding to discomfort whilst trying to go to sleep, and shampoo missing in bathroom . Bistro was closed in the morning and no information provided in the room about food places nearby , yet there were actually some places as we discovered in the morning .

Brilliant customer service from the big chef, we had a few dietary requirements and allergen concerns confidently answered, thank you for a pleasant dining experience and our meals were spot on.

Nightcap at Airport West has 20 rooms for visitors and locals. The rooms are comfortable and well set up. Nightcap at Skyways has access to the hotel bistro and other facilities. It's good for overnight stays. Nightcap at Skyways is close to Essendon Airport; it's across the road. It's also a short drive from Tullamarine, Melbourne's international airport. It's conveniently located, and moderately priced.

Rooms are within a Pub, Restaurant, function centre and surprisingly quiet. 8 minutes in Uber to Airport for $20, was still a saving of about $130.00 of the cost of Airport Hotel we usually stay at so definitely staying here again. Bed comfortable and fantastic rain shower. Complementary water bottles and because we booked direct we received free breakfast packs and free drink each in the bar... Small issue in our room was quickly rectified by the Lovely Sarah, who also checked us in, very efficient.

Really worst experience. We came here to stay overnight before our journey. 1. Missing mirror 2. No lightening 3. No microwave 4. Very small room We regret staying here . We will never come back here .

I travel a lot for business and would say this is one of my worst experiences ever. As I’m writing this review, it’s 12.12am and having gone to bed at 8.30pm I am still awake after being kept awake by a bloody band playing above my room. Tried ear plugs I carry with me to no avail. Band finally stopped at 11pm, now listening to them packing up above me and the room next door has decided to crank up the tv. Arrived to check in at 1pm and told check in 2pm. Left bags locked in their cupboard and went shopping. Returned at 5.30pm and no one could find keys to unlock cupboard. Took 30 min to find keys. Room had blocked sink. Food restaurant was average and basic. Staff were friendly and efficient. They should warn anyone staying that they are unlikely to get much sleep due to entertainment area being above rooms. Will never stay here again, absolute mental torture trying to sleep.

Stayed here for 1 night before flying out on a holiday.|Plenty of parking, entered via a busy reception for pokies etc, as well as the accommodation but check in was easy. Staff were friendly a efficient. |Room was fairly small, but neat, clean and tidy. All that we needed. |Bed was comfortable.|Dinner take away not far with plenty of options or could eat onsite. |Would happily stay here again if flying out - nice and close to the off airport parking facility we use.

Roslyn at the front desk was absolutely wonderful, she helped us with our booking mix up and was just a really nice person to deal with. The room was lovely. Not overly spacious, but had everything we needed and the beds comfort was 10 out of 10. Had the best night sleep, also had the best steak sandwich I have ever eaten. I will always remember the great bed and the great steak sandwich.😂

Currently staying 2 nights here and have to compliment the great service and assistance from the receptionist Roselyn. She was so helpful and wanted to make sure we were all ok? Even the hotel staff in Gaming, Bistro and public bar were very friendly. We have booked again for 2 nights in April as well! Highly recommend!

We were 3 ladies ordering seniors meals in the public bar, it took at least 30 to 40 mins to get 2 parmigianas, and at least another 20 or so minutes for the last meal to turn up , parmigianas were poor quality like something you buy at woolworths, and wedges were soft, also if you can obtain wedges due to a shortage why cant you get chips, that was weird, very disappointing service from the chef, bar lady was very helpful

Omg never again ,so noisy function up stairs ,rang reception to get told they are up there till 11.00 pm banging thumping so loud .

Great venue to stay at. Rooms were neatly presented and clean. Nice staff and lovely meals! Will stay again.

Dodgy people hanging outside, Items were stolen from my car. There was an event upstairs that prevented sleep, along with the police machines until late. unclean room, mould in the shower, and wait for it…….bedbugs. I’ll never stay there again

Booked and paid over the phone. When I arrived, the room had been double booked with no other room available. Was told it would take 5 days for refund to go back into my account.

Lyn on reception was so good Only problem were the very late guest talking VERY loudly in passage way at2am? Maybe a sign tobe Quiet after 11pm would be good

Nice location. Close to food, bar, shopping centre and everything you need. Perfect while transiting and close to airport. Can be very loud late at night Friday/Saturday due to patrons and bars nearby. Overall very happy with this find so close to airport.

This is my response backing up another review I’ve experienced the same at this venue one staff member extremely rude and unprofessional unnecessary unacceptable behaviour she is working regularly and has not made any changes since the comment was posted regarding her poor attitude. She most definitely should not be working for skyways and is making your hotel look very unprofessional and ruining your reputation. She raises her voice at customers answering back rudely. All other staff are fantastic and doing great and should be proud of themselves bringing smiles to customers faces :) Including security thanks for reading my review & management please be sure to take this seriously. “Great place to dine in, most staff is helpful except 1 staff in gaming room is very rude yelling one of the player who has a dispute with other player who is verbally abusing the lady that night. This staff has a short blonde hair and around mid 50's she should not be employed in this facility.”

Great prices for seniors meals, although they are a bit smaller than the normal meals, but at around $10, you can always order a 2nd meal😊

Great value for money

Nightcap at Skyways Hotel is still recovering from the Covid lockdown, it's still under staffed. The rooms are really only suitable for layovers between flights, or overnight stays. The rooms, though small, are clean and don't pretend to be what they are not. Of course, it will take a while for interstates and international air travel to pick up.

Ordered our food for lunch , waited over an hour for our kids meals because we could see they were very busy and clearly struggling to keep up. Went up to ask about our order only to be told they mixed up our table number and haven't even made the food yet.

Eat, play & sleep all at the same place

I was sleeping & found bedbugs crawling around my body, never felt so disgusted in my life.

Room was nice and clean. Definitely was not able to relax as it was very noisey, had a birthday function upstairs overall stay was good.

TO MANY OBSTICIALS: Firstly upon entering the bistro for a meal, you will not find a menu, you have to QR scan your phone to see the Menu, so far not a problem, however before you get to see the Menu you have to download an App with requires all kinds of personal information like name, email, etc... I just came for a meal not to join a Dating Site...I did ask for a Menu but was pushed to use the QR code (very frustrating) eventually I had to walk to the counter and get us a Menu...The food is tasty but you get very little for what you pay for.
