We went to The Victoria Hotel tonight. It is such a beautiful venue. Great lay out and furnishings. The service was prompt and the staff were friendly. When I booked I mentioned that it was our anniversary and the venue gave us a free bottle of wine! That was so lovely of them! We really appreciated it. I don't think I've ever seen that from a venue before.

Had a wonderful dinner with friends and family in the outdoor area. The venue even surprised me with a birthday gift.

When the renovation occurred the kids area was full of items and toys for kids, they’ve since removed most of it and now it’s a bit bland. No toys to role play everything is gone.

Came in last Sunday great atmosphere, kids meals where kids meals, but the kids burger extremely disappointed way to small. It's mince at the end of the day 20 grams more or a slightly bigger bun wouldn't kill .

Came here because of the kids area and meals. Won't becoming back. Kids meal of fish and chips, consided of 11 chips, 4 thumb sized fish pieces and 4 carrot slices, (picture 5cm 3mm carrot) all for the stella price of $15.50 plus fees. Now just multiple the price above x3 for adults meals. Had the raid the fridge when getting home

Amazing experience. Was so happy with the venue, the staff and kids' areas. They had a great time and loved the face painting and balloon artist.

Amazing place to take the kids but I wish their food was a little better! And the price of the kids meals is totally unreasonable, for $15.50 it’s not a big serving at all. For that price they could at least include a juice, otherwise something around $10 is much more reasonable. It’s a shame because the venue is 10/10. I hope they rethink the menu with food quality & pricing.

I booked a table for 4 people in the sports bar. When we arrived the lady told me she could see my booking in the system but they “must have not reserved a table”. We had booked the table to watch the ufc and there were no tables available and she made no effort to resolve the situation or put us anywhere to watch the ufc when we had booked days in advance and people were sitting at tables that hadn’t been reserved. Terrible service, terrible organisation. Won’t be returning.

I truly want to love this place because it’s fantastic for kids. However, the food and service are disappointing. If both improve, we would gladly visit regularly.

Great vibe in the beer garden, although can get quite loud. Fantastic for families as there are two kids playgrounds, but these are open to the dining area so adds to the noise. Steak was disappointing and only half eaten, however all other meals hit the spot. Unfortunately they don’t offer changes to meals, so chips and salad it is unless you pay extra for large additional sides.

Believe all the reviews, the food here really sucks. I had a chicken burger with almost no chicken in it - whatever was present was cooked beyond anything you’d consider reasonable. But you don’t come here for the food, you come for the easy parking, kids playgrounds and to blend in to the chaos.

Went to the Vic this afternoon for an early dinner with my family. My birthday is tomorrow and I have turned up to the table and there was goodie bag there with a pair of funky socks in it. The little things that make a difference. They didn’t have to do that but they did. The food was great. They were more than accommodating to move tables to make sure we were in the shade and having the two playgrounds (one for the little ones and one for the bigger kids) is such a huge asset to have for young families. Love the Vic.

Asked to wrap up at 7.30pm and pressured by 8.30. Despite closing hours advertised at 11 were were pushed out by 9.15. This is fine if those are the operating hours of the business but this was not our understanding. Food was average but won’t be back based on tonight’s experience. Lots of other options in the area with better food quality, service and hours.

Great management; exceptionally dedicated team have helped rejuvenate this pub into a local focal point for families and locals. Great food; excellent selection of beers and wines; and best of all Guinness on tap. A rare victory for local pubs in a complex market. Well done.

the parma was flat, burnt and inedible. wouldn’t recommend. no air conditioner's on a 39 degree day whilst inside.

Enquired for function space. My husband attended venue to view. No responses by staff to two of my emails in attempt to organise function. Terrible service.

Food was average for a pub my parma was overcooked but acceptable. We were in the kids area which was fantastic for them. but I found having loud background music completely unnecessary in this area. Kids are over stimulating and noisy enough! I didn't complain at the time. I'd suggest to the owners to at least turn the music down in the kids area.

We had a group booking of 14 people. Service was poor, whilst the food was good, they did forget one of the meals and we had to chase it up after waiting a while and not getting anything for that person. Had to order through a QR code or at the bar, staff did not interact with us or make us feel special in any way at all. Food was good. We wanted a lunch booking but where told we could only get a booking at 3.15pm as they were fully booked, when we arrived place was mostly empty, but they wanted to seat us in the nook area, we would have been happy to seat else where and eat earlier. As it was they had to move people out of this area to seat us when most of the restaurant was empty. Just crazy.

2nd time being disappointed here. We ordered 2 meals. I had finished my steak before the 2nd meal even arrived. The Parma then arrived with no cheese on it. Staff didn't really care. The 1st visit here involved over an hour wait for 2 meals with no advanced warning. I won't bother again. It's a pity since it's my local.

Great Christmas lunch

I was excited to dine at The Victoria Hotel Yarraville, but my experience was spoiled by poor booking management. Despite reserving in advance, I was told upon arrival that my booking was not valid due to overbooking. Instead of the area I requested, we were placed in a less desirable section with no prior warning. The lack of communication and preparation was disappointing and took away from the overall experience. While the food was good, the frustration of feeling overlooked as a customer made it hard to enjoy the evening. I hope they improve their reservation system moving forward.

Regular visitors, but yesterday was only our second time in the outdoor area. Good range of tasty menu options and numerous drinking and dining spaces. Great all-rounder venue. Live music was too loud to have a continuous conversation.

Had my Friendmas christmas gathering here and it just so happened that my birthday fell on the same date. The Vic came out with a bottle of Prosecco for my friends and I, chocolates and a gorgeous diffuser birthday gift for me totally unexpectedly! What an incredible gesture and surprise!! And on top of that, the service was amazing, all the food we ordered was absolutely delish and came out super fast despite it being super busy and we all had the best time! The new beer garden is the perfect space for an event with friends or something more intimate with family. I’m local and have been here plenty of times and every time, the service is outstanding, but I was super blown away this time with my surprise birthday gifts from the venue and I can’t thank you guys enough! Initial experience with staff was less than pleasant. (Would have walked out except we were part of a group). Food was waaaay overpriced for what it was. Had the scotch fillet steak with an extra of pepper corn sauce ($53 all up). Asked for medium...closer to well done. The peppercorn sauce had few to zero pepper corns. The salad which came with the steak consisted of lettuce leaves and a couple of paper thin slices of cucumber (that's all). Coke tasted like pure syrup. All in all...a very 'average' experience. Oh...the onion rings were good 👍. Back to the Yarraville club for our work lunches.

Great family venue. Food was fantastic. Especially the chicken tenders. Other pubs in the area have terrible layouts. This place allows you to enjoy a meal and a drink while the kids are able to be watched. Highly recommended

Visited The Victoria Hotel for the first time, just for a couple of beers. I was greatly impressed at how large the establishment is. I loved the outdoor beer garden. Unfortunately I didn't get to the meals, so can't comment on them. I believe they may have live music there. And also noted lots of play area for the kids. What a wonderful hotel.

Foods great but the bar staff needs to pay attention on who's next in line. Its basic bar staff 101 - who’s next in line! Was there at steak night, twice the bar staff had their back to us and completely ignored. Other customers were served before us. Do better!

Food: Waited more than an hour for chicken parma. When followed up with different staff, no update from the same person. I wouldn’t even wait this long for exceptional food but to wait this long for low quality food was appalling. Service: Non-existent. Slow. Unprofessional. Need I say more? Atmosphere: Basic renovated pub setting which does not justify the ridiculous mark-up in drinks. Side note: They accepted a booking for the kid’s room but turned out there’s a private party on the same day and a quite a few groups were transferred to another area. Why accept the booking if there’s a private party? Unacceptable.

Kids burger meals could be given some love. Absolutely fantastic renovation and beer garden kids area sensational.

Overpriced for an average pub. Ie $28 for pub pizza. $12 for a schooner of beer is just too much.

Unreasonable markup on wine. I ordered a bottle of Devil's Corner Pinot Noir which retails at the $25 mark at wine retailers and was charged $84. When querying this amount it was clear that the manager had no idea as to why such and outrageous markup occurred. My advice is to take care when ordering wine from this hotel. Food was OK and the children enjoyed the evening, but the food and wine service was unprofessional and the wine was certainly overpriced.

Just traveled the entire lap of Oz and down the middle and boom! I've found the most expensive pint in Oz!!!!???????? $17 Stone and Wood and a hefty surcharge on everything. Sadly it's a cracking dumping ground if you have kids, so this kind of price gouging will only get worse. The place is amazing if you have a couple of kids and you fancy losing $250 in an hour and a half.

Indi was so patient when taking our orders- as a first time diner here we will definitely be back! Great kid friendly facilities aswell.

Great for kids and families We booked a group booking for a bday, found there to be no service except when going to the bar and meals being delivered. Other than that, no staff came near our table

The beer garden and kids area are great. Everything is freshly renovated and the kids are a big fan of the soft serve bar. We've come here often especially meeting with groups with kids because it's convenient and spacious. However the food is always mediocre for the price. The ham and pineapple pizza had a single piece of pineapple for each slice and was pretty bland...expect more from a $27 pizza.

The family area is so good. Food is nice too and a great place for parents. Sundays is especially good they have kids entertainment for free as well. That being said, when you make a babychino please note that this shouldn't be made piping hot. My toddler grabbed the glass and burnt his hand. These should be made lukewarm. The toilet in the family room also needs some deodorising.

We went here for a birthday, and the birthday girl arrived to a small surprise gift from the Hotel which was lovely! The food was all delicious. I had some of the dip platter which was amazing, and an entree calamari which was big enough to be a main. Others had steaks which were great. Love that the kids meals come in a little “happy meal” type box. This place is made for kids - with an indoor and outdoor play area. The beer garden is such a great space, and covered in wet weather. Wish I lived closer so I could visit more often!

Fantastic service, good food and a giant screen for the footy. If you like mushroom pizzas, they have an amazing almost truffle infused pizza (truth is I have no idea what's in it but it's bloody tasty). Very kids friendly. A little playground for toddlers and another for slightly bigger kids. Couple of tablets too.

Enjoyed my time at Victoria Hotel! One of the best eggplant parmigiana’s I’ve had in a while, with nice generous and think portions with plenty of tomato and cheese. The entree was one of the highlights, the bread and dips were so tasty! There are plenty of kids areas and areas to sit including pub area, dining hall and beer garden. This place is very family friendly!

Worst barramundi dish ever. Skin was very overcooked and like a thick piece of leather. The fish came with capsicum sauce which was unpleasant and did not go with fish.

Would you like to wait 48 minutes for a steak sandwich that is half grissle? So you too can wonder, How do they have such poor quality steak when we’re so close to the Footscray market?? Or a Barra with sauce that is so misplaced you wonder if the chef has ever eaten food? Well with a very limited selection of beers, you wonder how this place exists as the half way mark between the railway and the station hotels. It’s not even the best pub to eat at on the block. There’s a limited playground for the kids but they’ll get bored about 25 minutes before your food comes so it’s a bit of a moot point. The flat bread was good. Even if it took 35 minutes

They say they have a sports bar. Worst I've seen.They had the footy on a screen or 2. No sound, they were playing recorded music instead. Too many kids running around. Staff group had what could only be called a staff meeting right behind. A customer doesn't want that. I stood up to go to the bar to order something, a staff member went to where I was sitting 30 seconds after standing and was going to take my beer. Didnt find it a nice place. I left after 1 beer.
