Great steaks and good vibes… thank you.

We were given a semi-private room for lunch on a Saturday. The pub was not busy but serive was great. An enjoyable afternoon, thank you.

Had lunch with work colleagues. Hadn't been at the Bells Hotel foe over 25 years. The food was nice and service was efficient.

The worst steak night I’ve ever been to. Cheap grey looking supermarket steak, cooked on a sandwich press. I’ve never had a steak with no flavour before. Came with a glass of red, which was undrinkable.

Have been coming to this venue for many years and have watched the gradual transformation of this place. The external facade and bar downstairs have been maintained in the almost heritage-style feel of the original pub, while the remaining spaces, including those upstairs have been expanded and upgraded. To the extent that it is now quite a popular venue for weddings, larger functions, to simply watch sport or for just a casual drink. The service and atmosphere has remaining relaxed and casual. The menu changes from time to time and is coupled with standard pub fare. The food itself is tasty, well-portioned and reasonably priced. As it is somewhat removed from the busier part of South Melbourne, parking is usually not a problem.

Love it! Nice place for a party of any size. Friendly staff , good service, and great food. Multiple floor and a small covered roof top as well. Multiple serving areas. Glad to see some vegan options on the menu.

My boyfriend and I always choose Bells Hotel for our special occasion, because we were #1 fans of the pesto pasta with chicken and the chicken with the beautiful white cream.. But unfortunately Today we came for my bday and we noticed they change the menu and they took out our favs meals, now we will wait to hopefully they are back or find somewhere can be as delicious as here. But as always, we love the atmosphere and the staff is always so nice. The photo of my bf’s bday when we ate our favs meals haha

Always a great option for the end of year work function. Plenty of separate areas for the team to get together without interrupting other customers.

Absolutely despicable service by the caller I called the other night and by this excuse of a hotel pub. We called in advance the other night to ensure this venue was open New Year’s Eve night and was told to look online by the elder woman on the phone.. why do you not know if you work there first off 2 nights in advance ?!?!? And she said not my problem look online. Disgusting service. She should be fired! Or looked into at the very least in terms of customer service. We ended up arriving at the venue at 11pm being told that they would be open until 1am prior to being kicked out at entrance as they were apparently closing at 11. Whole new years ruined. Thanks a lot. We scrambled to find another place way out of the way from the fireworks. Hope you’re happy

The calamari dish and prawn linguini dish (10 large prawns😱) were delicious! Staff excellent and all very helpful. In fact, lovely young man took our pic for us😜🥂

The waitress/bartender was lovely and helpful but the chicken Kiev was the toughest, driest chicken I’ve ever eaten

It's been 20 years since I've been here, and what a change! The old dindgy pub is gone with bright new areas and fantastic food. We were in a bit of a rush so just got burgers. Turned out to be an excellent choice. Staff very friendly and helpful. Won't wait for another 20 years before we're back!

Work event here for lunch and the service and food were amazing. Was a very hot and muggy afternoon so the indoor/outdoor upstairs area was a bit muggy but still very nice.

alright place, although pricey. Paying online was painful, no PayPal, no Google pay, 2 sms with codes, like 20th century.

Good pub food with good service at a good price.

One of the best burgers I've had in some time, my wife and i had the beef and chicken burgers, both excellent but the chicken especially so. $25 including a drink on a Tuesday, great deal

I was there last night and is beautiful

Beautiful venue we had a lovely night with my racehorse function. Luke was amazing. He was extremely helpful from the moment we arrived. He showed us where to go and we later noticed him helping and elderly lady and showing her where the restrooms were. Nothing was too much trouble for this young man, a great venue would love to come back Stacey & Leah

Me and my mum came to Melbourne for the week, had an amazing experience with nick and Hamish behind the bar, service was great, food was great, thanks guys!

Always disappointing when you pay good money for a wine and it is served below the 150ml line.Pointed it out to the bar attendant and then had to wait while another customer was served.The glass was then topped up to exactly on the line with no comment given.

Quick service and great to watch your favourite sports over a bite to eat and/or a bevy or two.

When I visited yesterday around 9:30 p.m., the woman who was wiping the utensils at the table was really rude. Since there was no staff at the bar, I approached her to ask if I could order a drink. She responded in a rude manner, as if questioning why I was asking her, saying, ‘There’s someone over there, isn’t there?’ I’ve never left a bad review before because I know how damaging it can be to a business, but I felt so upset yesterday that I couldn’t hold back. However, since English is not my first language, I couldn’t respond at the moment, and I didn’t want to ruin the time with my friend. I felt so bad that I really want the store owner to know about this, and I want to tell that woman that if she works with such an attitude while getting paid, she doesn’t deserve to be paid. If she’s so unwilling to work that she treats customers rudely, then she shouldn’t work at all.

Food and service is very casual and basic. But, equally a good place for a group and it’s so casual they don’t mind if kids are running round etc.

We booked for brunch, but turns out they only made lunch and the barman was very reluctant to make coffee despite there being a coffee machine. I had fish and chips, which was below average

Had a group catch up on the upstairs of pub. Rooftop outdoor area is cute (weather permitting) Food looked good and generous serving sizes, and coffee served downstairs was good for a pub - would recommend this for any casual gathering

The Portly Bartender that seems to work in the sports bar is an Absolute rude individual. It's to the point that his hissy fits disgusted the other Bar personal. We will be taking our business elsewhere.

This is your average pub. Food was fine, has a large variety of drinks and service was solid. You won't have a bad time but I'm not telling my friends about it.

Visited a few weeks ago for a Friday lunchtime Parma and wasn’t overly impressed. The Parma was pretty small for a $30 Parma and just felt pretty dry and cheap. Wait time wasn’t too bad and was easy to get a table.

Food, service all is amazing. The renovations are beautiful also. The biggest let down is the toilets and the state of them. They are filthy & I can’t understand why it’s not be fixed. Graffiti, toilet paper everywhere, broken toilet seats & just dirty. Please for the classy establishment it is, the toilets need to match.

Staying overnight nearby found Bells Hotel on Google nearby restaurants. Wednesday Steak night is great. Steak cooked perfectly medium rare, pepper sauce has a nice zing to it and chips crisp and tasty, topped off with a nice salad. Would definitely recommend.

Really nice food for lunch, wide selection of beer on tap

We recently celebrated our cocktail wedding in the Main Hall with around 100 guests. The space was perfect. The food was delicious (many compliments from the guests) and the staff were terrific The communication through the process was on point. Huge shout out to Hassina who helped out a lot to make sure that we had the best night ever.

Came here for a function. The meal I had was the Barramundi, and it was exceptional. I highly recommend it, light and beautiful. Great range of drinks and other meals. Disappointed I missed out on the chocolate brownie, but the team assisted me in my chocolate craving with a hot chocie, thanks!

Great central point of coffee or meeting out of the office. Breakfast menu with a twist. Bloody Mary was spot on.
