Useless don't know what a 12volt capacitor is. this must be the store where the put employees that they want to quit. absolutely no knowledge of there products. (But they have a job). Very embarrassing for Jaycar

It's a Jaycar electronics store

The one staff with the orange hair and beard at this store location was the worst store clerk I have ever delt with, he was lacking professional experience, continue to go out of his way to correct me and worst of all, he had anger issues. He showed poor communication skills and lack of knowledge in the products (which he is suppose to know) he definitely made my experience at this store a BAD one. Overall, this post is not an attack on the store itself, but to warn others of this one particular PERSON. The store itself was quiet good and had a decent range of electrical products.

On the 8th of January 2025, I had one of the worst retail experiences ever at Jaycar Sunshine. I went in at 11:00 AM to return a faulty JVC screen I had purchased a couple of weeks earlier, as it began freezing within the first 10 minutes of use. When I explained the issue to the staff member, Jasem Ayazayeri, he immediately accused me of lying multiple times. I requested to speak to the manager, but Jasem initially refused and only reluctantly agreed after repeated requests. Even then, he misrepresented my situation to the manager and hung up when I asked to speak directly to them. I felt extremely disrespected and uncomfortable, so I asked for another employee to assist me, but Jasem refused and ensured no one else could help. After over an hour of unnecessary delays and being laughed at when I asked to speed things up due to my business obligations, Jasem claimed he needed the invoice number from the original store (Roxburgh Park). Despite my request for him to call them, he insisted on sending an email and making me wait longer. I eventually had to call Roxburgh Park myself, where the employee (Cash) confirmed that Jasem already had the necessary information. Cash tried calling the store multiple times, but Jasem ignored the calls and even put one on hold without answering. Only after I handed my phone to Jasem did he finally agree to process the refund. To make matters worse, while starting my refund, he began serving another customer instead. The other customer, who had witnessed much of the ordeal, urged Jasem to finish helping me. Jasem then refused to complete my refund, told me to leave, and continued to be rude. After almost two hours of persistence and embarrassment, my refund was finally processed at 12:56 PM. This experience was appalling. As a business owner managing 12 retail shops myself, I understand the value of good customer service, and I would never tolerate such unprofessional behavior from my staff. Jasem’s conduct was disrespectful, discriminatory, and completely unacceptable. I was a regular Jaycar customer, but after this incident, I won’t be returning. Would not recommend this store to anyone after what I went through

I came in when there were no other customers at the store. The girl helped me out does not have the knowledge about the product. She came back and asked the guy at the desk. That guy is busy with chit chat on the phone and does not want to support at all. His reaction is terribles. I haven't seen a customer service like that before in my life. I would give a 0 star if I could. No more Jaycar for me.

Guy at the front desk was particularly dismissive and unhelpful. He really couldn't be bothered understanding what I wanted despite having examples of what I needed. Told me to go to a competing business instead. The competition was extremely helpful. They didn't have the fittings I needed in stock but told me Jaycar in Sunshine had them. If I didn't laugh so hard, I would have cried.

I'm not someone who frequents car accessory stores, but I needed a micro2 fuse tap to hardwire my dashcam. Even though they didn't have the specific item I was looking for, the staff were incredibly patient and helpful. They took the time to understand my needs and even offered suggestions for alternative solutions. While I ended up returning my initial purchase (not the right fit), I really appreciated their genuine willingness to help a clueless customer like me. Thanks for the great service!

Went to buy fuses couple of weeks back, they were out of stock. Front desk guy called couple of stores to check the inventory for $2 worth of product and routed me to the store where they have goods available. Really helpful. Much appreciated.

Great costumers service from the young man at the counter today . Went out of his way to find a solution for my project. Keep up the great work .

Love my gadgets and has everything I need for my electronic projects. Staff are always great. Definitely my favourite store.

As soon as i walked in the store, i was not even acknowledged or asked if i needed any assistance (mind you the store was empty) 3 or so more customers arrived shorty after i did, in which none of the staff even left the cash registers to assist. Guy with the orange beard did not bother to speak or even acknowledge any customers, seems like he doesn’t get paid much to use customer service skills. Upon checkout was the only time i was asked if i needed any help with the products. Would rather drive the extra 15 minutes to the Altona Branch.

Bad customer service from a team member. When I politely asked if they stocked a certain adaptor, he just shook his head, said no and did not say anything further. Also did not offer any suggestions or further advice.

Good place to buy electrical spares such as phone chargers. These are after market products but are just as good.

The staff at this store dont know the difference between a 2 core or a 3 core wire, and refuse to correct the issue for sending out the wrong wire despite multiple phone calls and emails. Awful experience.

Didn't pay much attention - Suggest if you want anything don't forget to go there. Thank you and God bless

Knowledgeable staff and always super helpful, 99% of the time what i need is in stock. Very handy when i need parts on the spot and even better when i can pick it up and test sizing and what not before i buy it. Nothing beats brick and mortar stores.

Super knowledgeable folk, knew exactly what input and voltage I needed to charge my vape from my cars cigarette lighter. Friendly and helpful. Great experience from an area I have limited knowledge in.

I went in today with my kids and only purchased a 12v travel cup. While we were there, my kids needed to use the toilet. Management were more than happy for us to use the facilities. Great customer service!

Unfortunately quite pricey for what you getting. Cheap Chinese quality for top dollars. I would only go there when I'm extremely desperate.

Love this place, awesome array of gadgets and electronics for professionals and hobbyists. This place took has taken over from where Dick Smith left off. This is a real electronics store not a consumer electronics store. Audio visual gear, electronics, circuit boards, video surveillance gear, drones, power supplies, dj/party lights and PA gear.

Friendly service from people who know what they're talking about. Prices on most items are very good. They have an extensive range of computer and electronics cables, adapters etc.
