Is a great hotel restaurant with Bay views in Mornington. The restaurant was busy (Sunday), and the food was excellent with generous meal serves. Street parking is a problem, but it demonstrates the popularity of Kirk's. I would have given the venue 5 stars, except it was quite noisy. It's not the first time I had been to Kirk's, and it won't be my last visit. The pokies were also generous this time.

Splurged for the Eye Fillet today for Easter lunch today, it was $50 plus the 15% surcharge. This is how it came out, tiny portions and poorly presented. Super disappointed and won’t be coming back.

It is SO disappointing to write this review because the view from the hotel is fantastic and the staff were outstanding. Along with other reviewers, I found the prices of both the food and beveridge to be a little more expensive ( a can of canadian club and a lemon, lime and bitters was over $18) but as this is a popular destination for both locals and tourists at this time of the year, this is understandable. The meal however was terrible. We ordered the seaford plate (not the one for $180), which consisted of fish, prawns, fries and salad. The problem was the batter which ruined everything. It was nearly inedible and when removed, left only small pieces of both fish and prawns - sorry if there was anything else hidden in the batter but it was impossible to tell. Unfortunately, we won't be returning anytime soon.

Nice setting and location, lunch meals ok but overpriced and the meal of barramundi small with a small piece of barra on a base of fries no greens?

Food was good , maybe a bit over priced for pub food, not sure if we got holiday taxed, being peak season. Service could not be faulted, super friendly staff all round.

This is an amazing venue to go to. The choice of meals is great is their choice of specials menu. We had the Seafood Plate which was delicious and we shared. The view of the bay is so relaxing. They also make a wonderful Expresso Martini.

Celebrated my Birthday here yesterday and I just have to give 5 stars. Food was excellent. Wine was excellent. View was excellent. Service was excellent. What a lovely team of employees. Each one was outstanding. Thanks for a lovely experience!

What great location and a functional establishment. The meals and wine are expensive but delicious. It's a pity that you have to que up to order rather than order from the table. Again, to order desert and coffee, you have to go back to the counter. The coffee took a long time to come to the table, well after the deserts were finished. The coffee was Luke warm and spoilt the dining experience.

Very nice venue with great staff. It was a bit noisy if you want to have a quiet chat. The seafood plate was fantastic.

I wish google would let me give negative star review. Risotto is undercooked . And they served me a cracked plate with lots of finger print which is seriously disappointed

My Husband and I have been here for dinner 3 times now. The service is exceptional and the food delicious. The offer of Seniors Meals is great, as well as entree’s and main meals and kids menus. Seniors can even get 10% discount on normal main meals Monday - Friday. The Seniors Meals are generous portions unlike some other hotels which quite obviously serve a half meal (chicken schnitzel cut in half) The staff are very friendly and very helpful and courteous. We recommend Kirks to anyone who will listen. They certainly have our loyal patronage. Give it a try you won’t be disappointed. Oh I forgot to say the views are beautiful too. 🥰

Went to Kirks again last week and came away thoroughly disapointed. The food and staff were good, but the wine list was rubbish. From memory only 1 peninsula wine on the list and the rest looked like they walked down the discount isle at the local Dan Murphys. Our local Indian in Mt. Eliza puts you to shame with all but 2 wines coming from the local region. This place is owned by a local family and expect locals to support them. In return they should show a bit more support for local struggling wineries. I wanted to give a 2 star review but know that hurts ratings, so just voiced my concerns under a 4 star review.

This is a fantastic place overlooks the beach. The food,drinks and staff are Great and you can take your dogs too.
