Sia did amazing as surprsing me for a random drink, he made it perfect and I had to get more for the rest of the night. The charisma and talent he has is amazing.

Pretty fun place to be at. I tried gin&tonic and berrylicious (or something like this) cocktail. Also, french fries were pretty crispy and delicious. First floor is more dynamic and crowded than the second floor. Each floor had different music and they both were okay.

Top favourite place . I invite EVERYONE of my friends or people I just met there !!! Its amazing

Great, friendly, cheap and convivial atmosphere, sound beats. Don’t look too closely at the alcohol soaked floor and walls, this is a boozy Melbourne institution and a great spot to meet friends.

I had an awful and unacceptable experience with security guard number #25 on 12 January 2025 around 12 midnight (Saturday night) I purchased a drink on the ground floor and went to the rooftop. He saw me but didn’t stop or inform me of any rules. However, when I decided to go back downstairs because theres no sitting on the rooftop, he suddenly stopped me and rudely demanded I finish my drink there. What made this even worse was that he assaulted me by grabbing my hand very harsh on the stairs that make me almost fell. This behavior is completely unprofessional, disrespectful, and unacceptable. No one deserves to be treated like this, and such actions make the environment feel unsafe. I hope the management takes this incident seriously and addresses the behavior of their security staff.

The atmosphere was enjoyable, but the service was extremely disappointing. Service was incredibly slow, the beer pour was poor, and we were misled multiple times. We were told espresso martinis, jugs of soft drink, and Pimm’s jugs weren’t available—yet we saw multiple customers being served all of these items both before and after our requests. This level of inconsistency and lack of honesty is unacceptable, and I left feeling frustrated and disappointed. I expect a much higher standard of service and transparency in the future.

Too many stairs.lift wasn’t working. But otherwise it’s ok.

Lovely ambience most of the time, terrace is nice, drinks are good, service not so much, however I did witness a staff member proactively looking after a patron who seemed too drunk to ensure they were safe and accompanied by a responsible person that they came with, the staff got them to drink some water and stayed with them until they were better, that was really nice of the staff member (i forgot her name)

Awesome club, multiple levels with different kinds of music. Security was super chill. Bar staff is always busy but the vibes in this club are super good in the times I’ve been. Big outside area as well in the venue.

Great bar and great food here as well - we came on a Wednesday night and got the steak special for $25 which came with a glass of wine and chips/salad on the side. The steak was quite juicy, and the chips were well seasoned . We also needed to head somewhere quickly afterwards so we asked for the food to be ready quite quickly, and the staff lived up to that promise. They were all very friendly and the atmosphere of the place was lovely with the whole jungle theme going on. Definitely recommend for steak night!

I came here for my birthday and I was met with an awesome pair of bouncers. One of the bouncers told me that I was unable to wear my birthday sash inside. I was immediately upset as it was the first place I went to, it certainly dampened the excitement of my birthday. The drinks were incredibly expensive for the quality, I paid $24 for a mojito with raspberry syrup, which tasted like lemon and sugar. My friend and her boyfriend had to immediately leave to go home after an hour of being there after a bartender dropped glasses on them, which resulted in my friend having a piece of glass lodged in her leg, and her boyfriend getting glass all over his lap and hands. The only compensation they got was the bartender offering them replacement drinks😐 Other than the expensive drinks and subpar service, the vibe, music and atmosphere were great.

Liquor sold on the 3rd floor is honest but those sold on the 2nd floor are fake! The bespectacled manager selling alcohol on the second floor is a very bad guy! The drink was fake, but he screamed and lied. Your look is fake, but your face is disgusting, too🤮🤢Don't buy anything other than beer!!!

Food was okay but when we asked for takeaway box, we were told they don't have license for that and didn't give us takeaway box. That's untrue and it's not right. Obviously they don't want you take your food out. Something weird....

Last night for us in Melbourne, Wasn’t sure what to expect after 5 flights of stairs ( we didn’t take lift) . Apart from being pleased to get to top, the roof top bar was actually quite neat . Done in a tropics theme, the young chap on the bar tonight was lovely . Being a Thursday it was a $20 chicken snitzel meal including a pot of beer was fantastic value . The snitzel came as a chicken Parma but I opted for it being plain . Was beautiful ! Thick piece of chicken and nicely cooked , with chips and small salad on the side . Fantastic value . We would go back . Other nights have different deals on .

The Carlton Club is always a great place to meet up for drinks. The staff are genuinely friendly and the atmosphere is so chilled you forget you’re in the middle of a bustling CBD. The terrace and rooftop bar are brilliant on a sunny spring afternoon. Don’t bother if you’re after a good meal. The food is barely mediocre. Nice fries but that’s about it.

The atmosphere and the outdoor court yard is perfect for rewinding alone or catching up with friends. There is no other bar or clubs I would be at. The staff from the servers to security are all awesome people and super friendly too. 10/10.

Good vibe and atmosphere 😊😊😊 DJ was the best. They were full of energy and did their best, a combination of old and new music. Also, you can go upstairs, with different spaces. The security guys were aware of their surroundings. I love the terrace and the giraffe on the back of the terrace's wall. I reckon, it is the best free entrance bar. I haven't tried the food here, so I have no ideas about it. But, I have been there several times and enjoyed it a lot. Highly recommended. Even after being a regular. The guard was so racist. The experience was horrendous. I cannot fathom that even after adhering to the rules and being extremely polite Australia still has these incidences of hardcore racism. He denied us entry but did let Caucasian males enter. Still pondering what is the benefit of the management hiring such racist security personnel.

Decent club with good music, but $17 vodka redbulls and $13 vodka sodas seems steep

The racism is on its PEAK. Been there last night with 2 friends and we held up on door by security guard by saying that we need more girls inside than boys as the security guard already let 5 guys in in front of us . Because they were not brown colour skin. Security guard with batch no 82 Leech or whatever was his name. I Asked him to introduce to the club owner so we can have a word about it. then an old lady jumped in between and she claimed that she is the owner and she said that I just Changed this rule on the door. I been there many times before with friends and family. Never experienced something like that before the way that guy introduced him self last night in front of us.If you are not white skin colour please don’t bother to go there and not spend your valuable money with such a racist places like Carlton Club. …..Never judge a book by its cover. The manager or whoever the lady was in black dress displayed blatant racism towards us and would let any dogs and cats in but us !!!!!! .It's unacceptable to treat people differently based on our race. One star is too generous for this experience .

Cool atmosphere and amazing food! I went to The Carlton Club yesterday and had a great experience. The lamb with eggplant lasagna was excellent and the cocktails jug is a great option

The music is terrible

came here on a Wednesday for steak night, delicious steaks, very moody lighting, I didn't know it was a restaurant at first, I thought it was just a nightclub, the experience was great. beers and alcohol are at a good price, and the staff are nice. lots of seating inside, and the seating is fancy. some of their cocktails include espresso martini, gin cleanse, berrylicious, margarita, nutty angel, pretty on pink, burning passion, pimms, mojito, and sangria.

There was an unpleasant moment last Saturday. The bartender took my drink even though I was standing next to the bar and talking to a girl. When I discovered the loss, I asked why my drink was taken away. To which the bartender did not respond and refused to return my drink or make a new one. Such an act upset me and I do not recommend this place. Avoid it.

Hey you! If you're gonna sell booze right up till closing, at least give people a bit of time to drink it. Telling us to bugger off right after we buy it is like saying we should just chuck it out! Honestly, the way you handled it was bloody ridiculous and unprofessional. One of your staff did that! You'd be bropable if you were in the situation. Took family out to Carlton club for Wednesday steak night and it exceeded all of our expectation! The food was amazing and generous in serving, the service was superb and staff were super friendly and accommodating. Will definitely be back again!

Discovery of this funky and quirky venue came as a pleasant surprise. It is Kitch and cute. The staff were very friendly. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was fun. It was almost like visiting a hidden Wonderland right in the middle of the city… Take a look, have a drink on the balcony and discover a hidden delight!

I was in a very unsafe situation at this bar and the manager refused to help me. He was appratnly given instructions ‘not to leave the bar’ unsafe environments like this are the reason women can't feel safe going out in Melbourne. An absolute disgrace.

The ambience was good at the bar but the club part was just ok.

This place is a multi tier bar/club with 2 dance floors. We came looking for drinks and to dance and have fun. The place waxxed and waned in crowd size ranging from packed to confusingly thin between 12AM and 3AM. The bar tenders are friendly and gave quick all be it very inconsistent service and drinks. The outside specialty drinks were good and the mixologist was nice but bring a book for the 35 mins each drink takes to make. Both DJs were playing great fun danceable music but the dance floors are tiny the lower level is maybe 2 Meters by 3 meters the 2nd floor is maybe 3 meters by 3 meters. There was plenty of seating and we found spots to rest drink our drinks or even just dance in the areas lest crowded like at the tables. The outside bar had heaters but the seats were all taken and it was too cold not to be under a heater. the roof was closed probably because it was so cold. Coat check is $5 Simply put this place is nothing wildly special but the bathrooms were clean, the drinks flowed and the beats were solid. Very causal good time. The vibe was generally positive and overall felt like a safe environment. We had fun.

Paid $25 for a steak, fries, salad, and a glass of wine. The food was amazing! We weren’t expecting it to be so good for such a cheap price but were pleasantly surprised. Place has good specials going on most days. The atmosphere is chill on a weekday at dinner time.

I hope the manager will be more careful in selecting the bartenders. The behavior of the Asian girl on the first floor is really disturbing🤮

I went to the night club and I don’t know why people like so much this night club because the only good thing there, it’s you don’t pay your entry, otherwise, even the music is not very good and there is just a small space to dance. The bar at the last floor is good.

Cracking place midweek for a pint and one of the specials or the steak and glass of wine is a go to for myself. Weekends are lively and not my scene but I’ve heard it’s a good place to head to at the end of a good night as open late.
