Foods so good! Good vibes
Great pub with a welcoming atmosphere. Living history
Great place, great location to come for a drink or a meal ..
Fantastic place, great atmosphere and great music.
Emily was great. Service was perfect
My 2nd cousin 2x removed once owned the hotel. Not the original owner. Barlow Telford. Is there any thing there about it's history or previous owners, displayed at the hotel?
Great place for an open-air experience. Their happy hours are ok and food specials don't really seem all that special, but love coming here with my girlfriends for a drink!
The location and atmosphere were great, and I had booked a bottomless brunch for my birthday with 17 guests. Unfortunately, the bottomless option was not worth it, and I wouldn’t recommend it. For $75 per person, the experience was disappointing. The bartender limited us to 10 very watered-down cocktail jugs for 17 people over two hours. When we asked for more jugs an hour in, she refused outright. The amount of alcohol provided was nowhere near sufficient for a group of our size to justify the “bottomless” price. That said, the manager on duty was fantastic and tried to make up for the situation by offering a round of shots and eventually getting us more jugs. However, even with their efforts, I would still suggest skipping the bottomless and reserving a table to buy drinks directly from the bar instead. Big thanks to the manager for trying to improve the experience, but I wouldn’t return for the bottomless brunch.
Went there for new years all you can drink. Drink menu was not advertised. No spirits, minimal wine and beer. Canapés were very very minimal. We ended up buying our own food as well so I guess their scam worked. Atmosphere was good though and the pizza was very good
Food is really heavy not tasty and overpriced, the 2 times I have been there -2 years appart- I have had to send some food back. Service is very slow but the atmosphere is nice, probably a better spot for a drink & some chips. Really beautiful inside and the fans are great.
Terrible fatty steak full of grissle. Don’t go there especially tonight. Full of ferrals
Stylish classic pub location in the beating heart of the st kilda entertainment district. Offering a large range of beers wines and spirits, along with a lavish food menu, with something for everyone, Staff are friendly and helpful, Fairly priced food and beverage. Would recommend
Lovely pub, friendly barman and service, nice pub inside and outside seating area, opposite lights end Acland St, parking not great, nice food
I would have given 5 stars for everything but I didn't try any food AND I still didn't get lucky.🤷
Too noisy busy and took forever to get a drink!
$17 pints and happy hour is just carlton draught from 5-7 :(
Ate steak with butter knife, and thats all it needed, it melted like butter, chips were tasty, unlimited chips with great pepper sauce for $29 I say was really worth it, cool place to hang out and have a drink it seems. Heaps of games out back if your into that.
Great atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff, but I was hoping for a better meal. The menu advertised online is not what is available in the venue.
Friendly staff, huge meals and great venue!
Great venue loved the vibes here after a beach day. Hugo spritz went down a treat
Very pleasant experience. Went for dinner and a pint, stayed for the pints, margaritas and a bloody fantastic bread and dips offering. So good we got another!!! Not sure what that seeded bagel bread thingy was, but my god it was the tastiest bread ever!! So full from just that. Def coming back for that again!
Have been there a few times now and the food & service have always been implacable - best checked schnitzel ever!
Massive shoutout to Brad, Milo, and the crew at Village Belle for absolutely nailing our little Christmas gathering. Brad sorted us out with the shared platters, and let me tell you, the Parma is hands down the best in St Kilda. The vibe was spot on, the service was slick, and the food hit the mark big time. Special mention to Milo for his Amaretto cocktail skills—the girls couldn’t get enough of it. If you’re looking for a solid spot to kick back with mates, eat well, and enjoy a few drinks, Village Belle is the go. Cheers for making it a top-notch night, legends!
Awesome service by the girl behind the bar. Casual and friendly service - bowl of pretzels nice touch.
Incredible service! Beautiful people working there. The drinks were fab, especially berry spritz and aperol. Just what we needed on a hot day! Very refreshing
Top 😃🤙
Had a great feed and a few beers. Cheers to Cody for serving me in gaming, good bloke.
The food at the Village Belle Hotel was amazing, I personally had a chicken Parmigiana and it is honestly the best one I have ever had. Not to mention the staff are so kind and lovely here will definitely be back more often.
Thank you so much to Julia for providing such amazing service! Food and atmosphere were excellent as well
Wonderful service!
Great place, staff is very nice
Love this place! Home away from home. With so many different areas there’s always a place to suit your mood. Special shout out to Julia who is always smiling and cheerful and quick to serve. There’s no wasting time at the bar waiting when Julia is on!
a staff member named Julia in the public bar had brilliant customer service and a great attitude! would come back again just to be served by her again. Thanks Village Belle Hotel!
The best crew and lovely venue
Went there on Monday for a tinder date. Had the spice bag and Guinness special. Date went terribly but the food was yummy and the staff were super nice.
My friends and I had a few drinks here and were ABSOLUTELY lASTONOSHED by the way we were treated by one of the bouncers (guy with a ponytail) we were given a last minute call and 5 minutes later he told us to leave aggressively and stated it was typical irish causing him trouble (this was mid week at 10pm)
This place looks nice but is a bit soulless. It was a Tuesday night so I guess that will account for some of the quietness but most bars have some music playing to create some atmosphere. Perfectly acceptable place, clean and well presented. Just lacked a little something for me.
Food was so poor and expensive
This is why no one ever comes here. Partner got kicked out for sitting at a table drinking water because he had been “sitting for a while” and when he got up and was actually fine and coherent they still proceeded to kick him out anyway. Wasn’t vomiting or even lying on the table was just sitting there. Focus on the people who are actually causing trouble. Only come here coz the espy is always busy but will never come back.
I used to go here because I liked going upstairs and having a dance but now most of the time there is a private event and you can't get in there it sucks
Food would have rated higher if it wasn't for the amount of salt the food had. Chips were not edible and were left.
Food was respectable, good vibes nice ambience. Had the lamb shank it was suitably tender, didn’t know what flavours to expect with it. Turns out it was sort of curry flavoured. Did the job but had a bit too much orange and red stuff on it. Vitamin A is a fat soluble toxin, don’t eat that stuff.
Amazing chicken snitz just $20 on Mondays, great place to soak up the sun in st Kilda
Great food great people… Eddie service was impeccable…
Brad the manager was very receptive to our needs
Brad the manager is the most amazing man always helps me out all around good bloke love being here every day
Brad and Liam were amazing
Great
Had booked a work function here for myself and a few colleagues on a Friday night. Wanted to start off by saying how easy it was to book a table online and to also speak to someone over the phone to answer my questions. Once we got there we ordered food and a few drinks, the food came out quick and hot and tasted delish and the drinks were also refreshing. would 100% recommend. Only piece of criticism I would leave is I would have loved having someone greet us at the door to walk us to our table rather than having to chase a server.
We came in for the Sunday Roast and it was absolutely amazing! All 6 of us were very happy with the food and service
Not attentive bar staff even she saw me but she was ignored and kept talk with a patron. And price way too expensive. Two pint of beers are 33.87$ even Monday! With this service why would I spend the money in here I would prefer go to other options.
great pub food, good vibe and ambience of restaurant with chill atmosphere, $40 for a sunday pub roast with pork crackling, was in the expensive side for a Sunday roast, but tasted delicious.
Faye was very helpful with talking us through the best drinks!
Had a nice afternoon at Village Belle Sunday 14th Sept, I know there are times when you don't get a great meal, well this was one of those times. I opted for the Halloumi with Cranberry sauce. It came out cold and tough. Being hungry I ate half of it, when the floor manager came past to take the plates he asked how it was. When I told him he went to the till and brought back $25.00, thank you Milo
Very good food and great wine 🍷
Really great pub with a good chilled out atmosphere. The food was excellent but the service was incredibly slow, we waited over an hour for our food to come out. It is also very expensive - we went for a Sunday roast which was $40 per person. Definitely worth trying though - the quality of the food and the flavours were great.
Went on a quiet night, can imagine it pumping when the footy is on. Great Mexican Parma, Steak sandwich looked good too. Food came out really fast and was delicious.
Nice staff, horrible prices ($65 sirloin, $30 pie, ouch). Lovely location close to the mall, limited beer selection despite 15 taps, and the interior of the public bar is scummy compared to the restaurant side. If you go, don't eat in the bar - same food, same prices, bad atmosphere.
I attended what is now one of my locals and I couldn't be more disappointed. From incredibly overpriced drinks to the lack of any real service. On arrival when engaged by a bar staff I said 'Hi how are you', in return I got 'what do you want'. In transparency there was a very manufactured smile to accompany this. When I queried the price for a single glass of wine, I got 'yeah, it's the price'. I had planned a dinner but given the gouging and apparently supreme effort it took to get a wine why bother.
Great place to meet with friends, food was ordinary and they got my order wrong. Was easily rectified and there was no issues. Would go again and try something else. I had the garden salad, it was mostly Lettuce with the odd slice of Cucumber, no tomatoes?! My daughter had the parma and said it was delicious. Staff were well organised and helpful/ friendly.
When there's nowhere else to go there's always the Belle
Have been going weekly for three years, first two years fantastic. Since a change in management the venue has gone downhill dramatically. Stressed, underresourced and confused staff, terrible quality food, complete lack of management on the floor. All while prices jumping massively - cutting costs and increasing prices to profiteer off inflation. Taking my weekly business elsewhere. Management clearly submitting fake 5 star reviews to hide the real feedback; multiple submitted at the same time from different accounts also reviewing the same nail parlour in the UK - sussssss
Fabulous food, lovely atmosphere. Service was outstanding, lovely young female I believe her name was Lauren, was very accommodating to us. Would definitely recommend!
Wonderful meal and very good service from a polite young waitress called Lauren.
Visited a few months ago whilst travelling and service was brilliant. Thank you Lauren D, lovely girl :)
Long-time patron of the Village Belle, but recent mismanagement has forced me to reluctantly end my weekly visits. increase in price while simultaneously decreasing the quality of food, to straight up orders not even arriving, with no refunds being available!!!! Absolutely deplorable. I look forward to exploring the Village Belle’s competition.
This place has gone down hill. And they hate locals. Have attended this place almost weekly for Thursday nights parma nights for some years, recently the food has gone downhill, the service has gone downhill and the entertainment has gone downhill. The only think that has gone uphill are the prices. Happy hour and parma night discounts have been slashed as hard as a 90s horror film. Parmas alone went from $20 to $25, that's just a regular parma price now!! And they removed the best one, the 'el chapo.' Look how they massacred my boy.
Came into the belle the other day and was served by Jamie, she was so friendly and welcoming, definitely coming back!
Great pub! 🍻 Friendly staff, awesome atmosphere, and delicious food! 😋 #Cheers #FoodieHeaven
Had an amazing meal in the pub last week. Was served by Julia and Jamie who made amazing drinks! Definitely coming back soon
