Great food and service

Please get more staff i was there Saturday nite 24th august 2024 to see a band poor staff were run off their feet get more staff if u want ppl to come to yr venue

Had a great night here at the club, Awesome band thanks soo much club kaalua, great atmosphere well done beau and his whanau, They have to do another show That's an absolute must

Had Christmas in July. Food was just OK, could have been better. The entertainer was first rate. Everyone had fun.

We took our service dogs to the RSL in reservoir. We were welcomed and the staff were very attentive. Food was great.

Upstairs restaurant serves excellent food from a small but decent menu and the service is consistently terrific and friendly. My wife and I have been dining here weekly for a few months now and we will continue to do so because we have yet to be disappointed. Highly recommended for dinner.

Bistro has really gone downhill since John & Dim left. Food is ordinary at best, dined here 3 occasions since new chefs started and it seems to get worse each time. will not be back.

Friendly staff no complaints

Grilled pork loin chops with vegetables was delicious but take lasagne off your menu because it was disgusting, dry and burnt and could not be eaten. The salad was nice, the chips were ordinary

Terrible parmigiana- outside Crumb was burnt to a crisp, Chicken was overcooked , cheese was barely melted.

Beautiful. Meal.done by chefs, i thoroughly enjoyed it.

Popped in for dinner the other day, the waitress Eliza was very attentive and the service was amazing! The food was delicious too. 10/10 definitely recommend :)

The food and venue are so great that we decided to book a function in with them in late August. The seafood is all very fresh and my brother ordered the huge T bone that did not disappoint 👍

I would have given 5 stars however One staff member in the bistro was extremely rude to her wait staff.. she abruptly told the two woman serving to face the customers and not her. There is a way to address your staff and you unfortunately have absolutely no idea. I was in hospitality for 25 years and the best way to approach staff is with a happy positive attitude. One of the young women was clearly unhappy with this woman’s behaviour and I do not blame her. Apart from that the meal was fabulous and other staff warm and friendly.

Fantastic food, drinks, AND service! Hit all the marks, with incredibly fresh ingredients! The atmosphere is very welcoming, but tidy. The helpings are very generous. Everything tastes house made and flavorful.

We went for dinner on Saturday and the service was very very very bad and the girl waitress was very rude and the food was not good not worse the money we paid waited more than hour and half for one meal and in the end got money back and on the table people had meals and people waited for hours to get there meal was very disappointing never step to RESERVOIR RSL again and if it’s private kitchen shame on the RSL to let this to happen shame vey disappointed

It was the best meal I’ve had in Melbourne so far even travelled from North Melbourne to go to the restaurant highly recommend it service was brilliant meals came out fast didn’t have to wait a hour for a meal fresh and delicious grate atmosphere and catered for kids which was a bonus thanks. This is one of the best restaurants for miles around! The food has been unfailingly nice and often sensational! We had garlic bread to start and that was a mistake. While the garlic bread was great, the meat platter defeated us! The two of us couldn’t finish it. The beers and wine are usually less expensive than anywhere else, however this week they are on special! Gold! I thoroughly recommend this place and it should be packed every day!

Ate here with a friend for lunch and ordered the meat platter. It was excellent and was very nicely presented. All the meat was so tender and the flavours were excellent. Will be back again soon.

Friendly staff, good menu options and very happy with my senior menu options. Good understanding of gluten free and cross contamination eg their chips, once cooked with other items are not gf.

Came in for tea all the way from Seymour for a lovely roast that we had had in the past, Very disappointed in the service waitress was rude, no roast even though it was advertised on special board, no garlic bread and other things because they were busy last night apparently. Really not good enough won’t be back👎

Pasta was below average, bad service from the drink section

Visited on Sunday the 21st of May to celebrate my grandmother's birthday. We had heard positive reviews about this place, but we were pleasantly surprised by the exceptional food offered in Reservoir. The dishes were of excellent quality and reasonably priced. Both chefs were accommodating, and our waitress, Eliza, was incredibly friendly and helpful. Thank you to the team for a wonderful experience. We look forward to returning next Sunday.

Absolutely loved Elvis. Havnt danced like that in 30 years. the food was stunning too.

This is one of mine and my husband's favourite places to dine at when we are in town! ♥ The staff is warm and attentive, and we aren't ever waiting for anything when we visit, which is nice since many other food places are very touch and go when traveling. We always make a point to dine in and relax on our stays, and if we had to pick a favourite dish for each of us, I very much enjoy the scallop and prawn capellini, and my husband frequently talks about the souzoukakia and orders it often in the times we've stopped in. ^_^ We tried our hand at making a souzoukakia at home while we were away, but it absolutely does *not* hold a candle to the one here by any means; and does not fix his craving until we dine in again and he can get the real deal. lol! XD Definitely a sharp place, warm staff, and to die-for food. And the sea food honestly doesn't get any fresher, And I'm a very picky sea-fooder. lol Long story short, five stars all around if you're looking for a cozy place with quality, healthy, yet hearty ingredients!⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

What a knockout of a restaurant, discovered it via a recommendation from a friend, and now we are the ones doing the recommending! My wife had the souzoukakia and it was made to absolute perfection. I had the seafood saganaki which completely put all others I've had to shame. lol Such a fantastic experience, so glad we went, we are already hankering to stop by again. =)

Took the family here for Mothers Day and all 8 of us were stoked with the quality and service. we never knew this place was in the area but we are glad we found it. the meat platter and mixed dips were to die for. Will definitely be back

Food and service are very good

Ordered 4 meals at the same time, no changes to anything, meals came out one by one, last one didn’t come out until other 3 were completely finished. Eggplant Parma was ordered with chips and salad but came with no chips and more than half a plate of salad that even a starving rabbit wouldn’t get through, when we asked about the missing chips that were on receipt, we were told that it doesn’t come with chips(even tho we asked for them). People that came after us and ordered similar meals were fed before us. Staff had no interest in anything we asked about, just gave 2 word answers. It shouldn’t be that hard to deliver 4 meals at once, and having to wait 30 minutes for a standard chicken Parma after the first meal was delivered is ridiculous. 2 stars for the freshness of the food.

i eat dinner upstairs food was so wonderful!!! no complains there . .service was good mostly besides one of the waiters. dont know name, she smells horrible and has almost puts me off our food. i dont know her name but, she have short hair , she needs to be better hygenic. over all experence is good, the beautiful other waitress made up for her. but you can not serve people when smelling bad. not a good customer experence. I would love, to come back and enjoy nice food again but we will not feel pleased if i have to deal with this waitress again. I give 5 star because I know this not restaurant or RSL fault and I don't want to give you guys bad look . all goods offsets the bads so no hard feelings will be back.

I’m a Queenslander and came to this RSL for dinner with family. I had the parmi it was massive good sized and the pepper sauce is amazing! No bacon on the parmi though :/ , However the restaurant is way to loud and you can everyone through the smokes pit which isn’t a nice sight when eating. Someone vomited in the smokers pit and you could see everything! Also another thing I would not like to see when I’m eating a meal. Kids aren’t allowed in the sports bar even when supervised! Overall the meals are great but the hospitality side of things is terrible.The staff were snappy when asking questions and I did not feel welcome at all. No coasters for drinks, no greeting when entering had to find the menus over self! Only thing going for my experience was the meal size.

New to the area and was pleased by the friendly staff, especially Sean who went out of his way to transfer my membership and sign a mate up..

I attended a function on New Years Eve in the upstairs function room. The facilities were good, food good but ALL of the staff were brilliant. Service was great and everybody had a smile when they were serving making for a most enjoyable evening.

Had dinner upstairs in the restaurant. We ordered the barramundi and veges. Delicious. The fish was cooked to perfection. We will be back soon!

Food very low standard

I have never had a meal at this establishment until today, and never will in the future. Ordered a seniors meal, roast of the day , which was roast lamb, when it finally arrived, the meat on the plate was All fat, mashed potato and some hashed up greens wth a small gravy boat. Absolutely disgusting!!

There were just a few staffs when we were there so serving was really slow. Took an hour between entree and main course. Steak was overcooked, burned black and chewy. Went to the restroom and came back to find that my plate got taken away with the food

Great venue, super friendly staff. Went to see Cold Chisel cover band, was fantastic. Food also good. Highly recommend.

Not as good as other RSL branches I’ve been too but still not bad

Restaurant has gone terribly downhill. Chips obviously not cooked fresh, just sitting under a warmer.. calamari reminded me of a dog chew toy, grilled fish was pathetic and the Greek salad was depressing. On a side note, the staff are excellent, especially the lovely bar lady.

My mother and i had lunch there and the staff in the bistro and a lady down in the sports bar showed me the way to get up to the bistro by lift we would differently be back

*****AVOID***** tonight for dinner 8/10/22 ordered 4 meals All meals were awful Have been unwell all night with food poisoning Never again!!!!!!! Also bad attitude and wrong order provided from waitress staff. Also seeing the chef with others smoking on the balcony is not a good look. F A I L

Was so looking forward to a traditional moussaka - was SO disappointed as it was dry & nothing like moussaka. Chips were nice though. Won't be back

My first visit and last people at the lobby extremely helpful cant fault them truly professional and courteous thats the only plus I asked bar attendant if coffee is complimentary answer was instant coffee only so i asked for one she never asked me do i take sugar or not next thing i got the cup was just warm didnt drink it after first sip Later on just on 10.45pm i asked for a glass of water she wasnt behind the counter but she came around to serve me she got water out of the Tap didnt bother to ask me if i want ice or not again only had a sip was like warm water I was disappointed i think customer service need to be looked at and remind staff that word of mouth is so important
