Loved staying here overnight to see luke combs at accor stadium! With trains and buses on the same block as the hotel, made accessibility seamless. The rooms were very clean and spacious and they have a communal kitchen and bathrooms. The bathrooms were very clean and provided good quality body wash, shampoo and conditioner. Unfortunately didn't get time to eat in the restaurant but the drinks were cold and there was fast service. Definitely booking again should i need to stay in Sydney. The price was very reasonable and would most definitely pay that again

Everything is good, environment is good but the bar staff with glass was so rude and she ok really need to change her attitude to treat the customer with good and friendly vibe. we are not drinking or eating for free, however her hospitality to customer is really bad.1/02/2025 timing around 9:45pm

Rooms look clean on the surface. Lobby of motel smells like someone who has smoked for decades. Dodgy location, so probably not the best for families.

Great place for drinks and food. Sam was outstanding in providing her usual service and specifically welcomed in the new year with a smile. She even recommended a black label instead of red Johnny Walker saying it is only 50c more. That is fantastic they think outside the box for customer experience. The pub down the road Bath Arms. Hotel" is screwing the customers in 2025 by serving 75% of the glass. What a shame. Don't know if it is Jessica only or everyone there?"

This pub has always had efficient staff, and beautiful food. I went there very recently again and everything has been changed. The menu doesn’t consist of anything I could eat for health reasons. They had no regular food this pub has always has consist amazing food and now It’s gone. I had to walk out as I couldn’t be served after ten minutes of waiting as well as being hungry forced to change pub. Saddens me but don’t expect normal Pub food from now on people!

The reviews here must be old. We stayed over Christmas, from 23rd to 27th December 2024. The price was less than I would have paid anywhere else over the Christmas period but I suppose you get what you pay for.||The low rate is due to lack of amenities, with bathrooms shared between all the guests. We were not worried about that at all but unfortunately the bathrooms were absolulutely filthy. The were not cleaned once during our 4 night stay and I would think they had not been cleaned in some time prior to our stay. They were filthy. The rest of the place was a bit grubby too. Extremely dissapointed and if something else had been available, we would have gone elsewhere. Unfortunatley being Christmas, everywhere else was booked out.||Horse and Jockey, clean up your act and clean your toilets and bathrooms.

The food is amazing, especially the dumplings and spring rolls. Very close to Homebush station on the Parramatta road side.

It's actually a really great chill pub, they have changed to Asian cuisine but you can still get a schnitty. Always good to have a drink but I do miss the old cocktail menu, but the cocktails available now are still great

The H&J has always been my local favourite to enjoy a drink and a meal but was so disappointed when I came for dinner and saw the menu had changed and had no pub classic meals, it's all changed to Asian cuisine. Ended up leaving to go to the Homebush Hotel for a chicken parmigiana. Please bring back the old menu!! I understand you have to innovate your business but changing something that wasn't broken isn't it.

Fantastic Atmosphere and Delicious Asian Cuisine! I recently visited the Horse and Jockey Hotel, and I was blown away by the beautiful décor and fantastic atmosphere. This pub has a really nice and relaxed feel. The Asian cuisine here is exceptional! From the perfectly steamed dumplings to the flavorful Peking duck, every dish was bursting with flavor. The drunken noodles and crab fried rice were standouts—absolutely delicious and generous portions. Every dish tasted incredibly fresh and beautifully presented. The staff were also super friendly and attentive, welcoming and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great time. If you're looking for a place with great food, nice fit out , and top-notch service, the Horse and Jockey Hotel is a must-visit!

Super disappointed by the change in menu. This used to be my go to for a parmi because it was one of the best around sydney but they do not offer pub food anymore.

Really disappointed. Recently returned here to find that the menu has been completely overhauled and the pub is no longer serving pub food. If I want Thai/Asian food, I would prefer to go to one of the other amazing local restaurants. Won't be returning in a hurry.

Clearly an Asian kitchen staff which makes it great as a food choice + alcoholic . Loved the shitake dumplings, and furikake fries. Well done.

Man I found this place recently out of desperation as our local Laundy changed up menus to this very not pubesque Italian menu We finally found the perfect menu with sun a pool table and a place to drink where we could smoke. Loved it. Alas they changed the menu to a terrible Thai menu and lost the whole idea of it being a “pub” It’s now a Thai restaurant that serves alcohol. With big tvs Nahhhhhh thanks anyway laundy, this is Australia and you guys fxcking suck.

Have been coming to the Horse and Jockey for quite a while to enjoy an after work drink. They recently changed their menu to focus on Asian small plates, noodles and curries. We sampled 3 different dumpling plates which were tasty and fresh.

My husband and I were blown away by the flavour of the Thai dishes.. exceptionally cooked and presented and a delight for the taste buds. Thankyou!!

The Thai food here is next level with very intense flavours. The beef massaman was extremely tender as was the beef rendang. Highly recommend the food and beer for that matter. Sincerely hope this restaurant can get enough support to keep going into the future

Was one of our favourite places to go to enjoy a classic pub meal, well priced good portions & great quality. Recent change of bistro has taken that away & only serves Asian dishes, which aren’t bad but not what you want for your local pub. Bit of a shame.

Great venue for all a hotel has to offer.

I'll start with it was clean and the bed was comfy. We knew we had to share bathrooms. The room was really small. No tissues, no face washer, no bath mat, no hair dryer. Rooms were not serviced. We had to let staff know when there was no toilet paper. The common room which was for everyone was neat and clean, but had to let staff know twice that there was no cups or water. We ended up finding the towels so we could change them. There was no smoking in rooms or bathrooms but we were very often smelling cigarettes as we went to the toilet, this was not staff's fault as they put a sign on the door but this did not stop them. We would not stop here again.

Great location with amazingly friendly bar staff, food is good and the beers are just as nice. Kudos to Gary the owner and his management staff. Tuesday night trivia with the host Laurence are an absolute baller of a night and it makes my week feel complete. And if you're there for the pokies or the sports screens they're top notch too

Great spot for a drink

Worst customer service by pub. Especially the one who cleaned table. We took aioli sauce paying $3 which was too sweet. We couldn’t eat it. We asked to replace it with other sauce but they asked me to pay another $3 which is not fair. I used to come regularly here. I will never come again. This pub spoiled my mood.

Staffs are very polite and friendly and the venue is so clean, security guy he's very kind and friendly. The only thing that I dislike was the steak, bit too expensive but does not worth it so other than that service is the best in the area ✌️🙏❤️❤️❤️

Had a few great lunches with the family here over Thr last year

Can't say too much about the accommodation as I've not stayed there but when working nearby on railway business the food is top notch. Never an issue to look after our needs, fast and efficient food and beverage service.

Playground was the highlight of the venue, great place to hold annually boat races.

Boat races were great, however needs music, BAD. Pokies needs a roof
