Lovely pub that had $30 steak Tuesdays. Popped in for a feed after an event nearby and had a really pleasant experience. Staff were lovely and the full pints of hard solo were a great change to the usual selection you see around the place. Highly recommended

Went to the Stolberg for Christmas with my folks and had a great lunch. The staff were lovely; professional and friendly. The food and service were great (huge servings!). My only request for next time would be a water bowl for our hands when peeling prawns, as we all got a bit messy! But honestly, I decided not to ask for one and I'm sure they'd have obliged. Thank you to the folks in hospitality who work Christmas day, we appreciate you!

I have celebrated my birthday here for 4 years in a row now. Always great food, great service, and the staff are always pleasant.

37 of us gathered for a family Christmas lunch. The staff were extremely helpful from right through from initial booking to setting up, taking orders , serving meals and cleaning up. The food was fantastic and service great especially when trying to match people with their orders. They were all very friendly efficient and patient.

Extremely impressed. My daughter had her 18th birthday celebration last night in the Stolberg Room. Everything that we asked for was delivered. We experienced no issues at all. It was a great night , great food and professional service. Staff were friendly, competent, polite and very accommodating. Maeve was managing last night and very professional in the way she had everything under control. Some of us had dinner in the bistro area and even in the bistro area we had great food and fabulous service . My daughter is already contemplating on having her next function at the Stolberg. Well done to all staff, and to all the managers, including Maeve and Sally-Anne. We are so glad that this function went so well. Certainly a relaxing night and stress free.! Keep up the good work , Stolberg Hotel!

Came here with a girlfriend on a Wednesday night. The Parmas were massive and so delicious. Chips were perfectly seasoned and the salad was so yummy I wish there was more of it! Bar staff were lovely and we were attended to quickly. I’ve recently moved to Preston so this will definitely be my new local, and can’t wait to utilise the beer garden in the summer months as it gets warmer. Everything was well priced especially considering how large the portions were.

Not a total fan of the refit but would still definitely recommend.

Best Guinness in the North!

Unassuming on the outside, the Stolberg is full of warmth and happiness on the inside. Good food, great service, warm atmosphere. Monday steak night and Wednesday trivia are firm favourites. Great local pub. Can’t go wrong.

We came here for the first time to try out the food and a couple of cocktails, and we weren’t disappointed. For drinks, we selected the Pornstar Martini and Margarita, both of which were absolutely delicious. For our lunch, we had the chicken schnitzel and Hawaiian pizza with pepperoni added. We couldn’t actually finish our meals because the schnitzel was huge and the pizza was generously topped. Pricing is very reasonable (only $16 for the pizza) and the ambience in the beer garden is lovely. We’ll definitely be back when in the area again.

Great food for a fair price, staff were friendly and nice atmosphere

Very professional team. Treated with respect and accommodated to all needs. Was a perfect night overall, music not too loud and everyone loved their food. Only down side, the registers were down for about 10mins. And parking wasn't enough spots in the small car park, had to find on streets around the pub. Otherwise was great night. We had about 30 people have dinner. Loved how it was Al la cart, buy off the menu and pay as you go. They catered for vegan, vegetarian, Gluten free, and changed a few meals to cater for allergies. I loved the Stoch fillet, had it medium cooked with vegetables. And desserts were perfect, not too sweet. Thank you. Will come here again if looking at a big group setting for sure.

Food was tasty and well priced. Service was friendly and efficient. We went on a Tuesday night, so a quiet night but at least that meant we could hear each other talk. Overall, a good night.

Nice pub food. We went with a group for lunch. We had a Chicken schnitzel from the Workers Lunch Menu which suited us at $20 and was lovely, well cooked and fresh. They also have an a la carte menu if you rather. Birthday celebration with cake and they accommodated all our requests & service was great 👌 Nice atmosphere too. Only downfall was they specify rear parking however we noted there were only a few spots which were all taken so needed to park a few blocks away, which was hard for some of the older ones in the group. We would recommend this place for a nice pub meal 🌟

Was on the hunt for a pub in the area for my partner and I to come and watch the footy finals! We were so happy. The vibe of this place is perfect. They also have a great extensive menu to cater for gluten free, dairy free and vegan so I didn't have to settle on a side salad and chips! The gf vegan Margherita pizza was delicious and so was the vegan gf arancini. Will definitely be back a 3rd time.

Highly accomodating and just super amazing service. Even after a power outage the team were so helpful in fitting our big party in last minute. Going above and beyond what we could ask for. Food was fast, hearty and it was awesome to be able to play some pool. FOH were so friendly all night, even till last drinks. Not a thing I could fault about this place. Thanks so much Maeve for fitting us in and Sophie for your positive energy!

We visited the Stolberg Hotel to celebrate a friend’s mid-30s birthday with a meal and drinks, but unfortunately, our experience fell short of expectations. We were disappointed to be refused cocktail service, with one staff member stating they were too busy “slammed” and another claiming that cocktails are only served between 3 pm and 6 pm—information that wasn't mentioned on the menu. Despite the restaurant being far from crowded, we noticed several staff members on their phones, chatting with each other, or idly polishing wine glasses. While we understand the importance of responsible service of alcohol (RSA), the lackluster service and unprofessional demeanor of the staff left us with a sour impression. I would not recommend this venue for celebrating any special occasion. Please note the many empty tables. Saturday 24/08/2024 at 8:22pm

$20:00 Parma night, and it was a big Parma indeed. A place for locals who were known to staff. Nice and warm and clean premises. Got a good park in side street in a normally busy area. Very clean and well maintained toilets, always a good indicator of rest of restaurant.

Awesome pub with great atmosphere and absolutely fantastic service. Both the gentlemen and lady that served us were really friendly very helpful big smiles. Friends got the Palmer and they really enjoyed that. I got chips with gravy. Gravy has to be one of the best ones I’ve had.

I have been going to the Stolberg regularly for years it is a fantastic pub with truly wonderful staff and consistently delicious food. I honestly could not recommend the Stolberg more. I have never had a bad experience there and I visit on average once a week. It's a great venue for friends, family, kids and functions, very warm and inviting atmosphere and great beer garden. All the staff are incredibly kind, professional and experienced people who deal with the busiest of nights and the rudest customers with grace and finesse. They are some of the kindest and hardest working people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting and I hope the managers and the owners of The Stolberg know how lucky they are to have such an amazing team! Huge thanks to the Stolberg crew for every fantastic night I have had there and thanks in advance for all the great nights in the future!

Who doesn't love a well cooked roast for Sunday lunch? When accompanied by a Malbec, recommended by staff, it was a great way to spend a cold Sunday afternoon. Sticky date pudding was good too and the staff were friendly and helpful

Great pub with a good variety of food and drinks. I eat there regularly and have only had 1 average meal which was the prawn pasta out of the 100 or so meals we have eaten there so highly recommend.

Love the food, great beer garden and function spaces too, I've gone a few times a year for over 12 years!. I've held 2 functions there over the last 12 years and both were excellent, with rave reviews by the guests too. Only downside, there is NO disabled access. For me with a disability and a walking aid, it means needing help to get in and out of the building. I've asked (could they open the laneway access so I could enter that way or by another door) and it seems nothing can be done, one staff member agreed with me that it is pretty awful and admitted they sometimes have to manually assist someone to get in. I only keep coming despite embarassing entrance and exit, because of the food, service and facilities. I recommend they install a ramp or even a doorbell or pH number to call on arrival so someone could unlock another door or put down a portable step (for those like me, this wouldn't work for wheelchair or scooter users).
