Great place to stay even for a night. We couldn't fault this Casino. Staff were extremely helpful like no other place.

Extremely disappointing service. When I arrived the door person or porter totally ignored me and never greeted me and ignored the fact that I may have needed assistance with my luggage.

Rooms and staff were great. Especially Greg and Kendall at Reception. Room Service appalling on the day. Although our issue may have been a one off. Spoilt our last day, celebrating our 50th Wedding Anniversary.

Fantastic place, had coffee and cake in the cafe . Played the pokies for a couple of hours and ended up $50 in front, thanks Wrest point .

My first time coming to The Wrest Point Casino. I accidentally drove past the entrance to the casino and its car park coz I made the mistake of saying to Google maps take me to Wrest Point Casino when I should have said take me to the Wrest Point Casino car park. It's a tall building and is good for people who don't require prams. Unsure if wheelchairs would be a problem but with my 1 year old son, for us to get to hotel reception we had to go from ground floor to 1st floor in the lift but we had to walk through some adult gatherings near bars (cocktail dressed) which was a weird feeling. Thankfully we managed to find reception and the last was lovely and helpful. There are 2 different kinds of accommodation that I'm aware of. The first is in the casino itself but there's also the villas or like a motel villa room which is literally a 1 minute walk from hotel reception in the casino on the first floor. It is really nice here. 5th floor of the villas is ideal for wheelchairs and prams and walkers. Levels 4 and 6 and 7 are flights of stairs so the second time around I didn't bother with the stroller. I'm reluctant to get out of bed right now!

Cafe and Bistro definitely gone downhill. No one cleared the tables the whole time we were there, and plates piled up to the point nobody could use the tables.

The facility was beautiful and had lots of activities, food, and entertainment options. The casino was smaller but still lots of fun to be had! We did not stay at the hotel so I’m unsure

I went here two years ago for the second time in 47 years. As a kid, I remember how stylish it was with the men and women dressed up to play the casino. Two years ago, it was terrible, unkept furniture piled up in one corner, dresse code non existent and full of bogans. Very sad place. Now, what a surprise. Now I understand why it was let go as major works were in the pipeline. Great venue with lots of places to eat and drink with a vibrant atmosphere Love it !! Also, we saw Suzi Quatro in concert , awesome show!!!

Could have had some biscuits or more non black tea in the rooms. Otherwise everything was great. Room service food was delicious too.

Try the cocktails in the Birdcage Bar, they will not disappoint

Revolving Restaurant was a great experience. Staff very Friendly. The Wrest point accomodation was great as well. Plenty of parking. Casino is well equipped

Definitely one of the better places i have stayed. Got served by a lady named Hannah.she went above and beyond to help us find things to do, places to eat and gave my wife a cocktail voucher for her birthday! Highly recommend.

Lunch in Tasman Room very nice but aircon was set way too cold

Great convenient place to stay. We stayed on the 6th floor in the Tower with a room overlooking the water. Was nice and quiet, however the rooms and bathroom are quite dark. Very little lighting at all. In the bathroom there is a light up mirror which can’t be adjusted and one very small low powered globe. There are no usb charging ports for phones etc on the walls near the bed. Only usb was on the opposite side of the room near the tv. Would be nice for all their rooms to have usb ports near the bed for those that like to use iPads plugged in etc. Some of their rooms on the lower floors have this, so kind of expected it in all rooms. TV kept dropping out the wifi connection also. All in all a nice stay but remember to pack your own plug in usbs for charging, and ladies who want to put on makeup be aware you’ll be doing so in an extremely low lit room.

Have 2 days visit at Tasmania in Wrest Hotel. We got free upgrade with high level with good view. Well accommodation and support during check in. Room is nice, good ocean view, friendly people to support us check in quick and efficient. 5 star, can’t ask for more. Thanks for having my stay perfectly.

A great value for money option! The experience of staying at this 4-star hotel is nothing less than that of a 5-star hotel. The entire hotel is very well equipped with a small casino, various restaurants, bars, etc., which is very convenient. The rooms were very clean and the experience was great!

It's just a sad & depressing place no joy here hadn't been for quite some time so hoping it had improved nope not the case staff walk around with glum looks on there faces with nothing to do patrons just look sad & depressed sitting at the machines you cannot win on these machines anyway we have seen big jackpots still sitting from years ago they should be going off more often all these high jackpots are a complete suck in we do like the meals at the board walk and the staff are all happy & friendly but as for the casino itself think we will just save our $$$ and just go down to eat if we want to gamble much better options on the mainland the ads you show on TV don't represent this place at all as it all looks fun & games which it is not in reply to your reply yes everyone has there own opinion & that is mine & sorry to burst your little bubble but it is exactly right in what I said its boring & staff all have wrong attitude except in the eateries thanks for your reply & remember yes everyone does have different opinions about the place ps please tell me exactly what else there is to do there other than gamble & the few shows you have on

Rushed to check out and left my little monkey🐒 behind—200 km away! I felt so sad and worried 😭💔, but after two days of calls and with the incredible help of the hotel’s staff across different departments, it’s finally back in my arms. So relieved and deeply grateful for this little miracle 🥹❤️.

gutes Mittelklassehotel direkt am Wasser. Unser Zimmer im Water Edge Gebäude war groß, ruhig und mit schöner Aussicht. Preisgünstiges Essen im Family Restaurant, vor allem das roast pork und roast lamb sind empfehlenswert. Im Spielkasino kann man seine Urlaubskasse vernichten. Riesiger Parkplatz.

We had dinner at Kwan Ho before the concert. They were understanding that we needed to be out by a certain time. The bar staff at the Green room were very professional.

Walked here from city centre and this was the only coffee venue in Sandy Bay for 1000 metre in any direction. Most welcome sight and site.

Travelled to Hobart in January with my partner and stayed at Wrest Point. First of all, where do I start!!! Staff absolutely amazing so super friendly upon arrival and when we needed something for our room the following morning! The breakfast had a large variety to choose from which was great. The room was exceptional and provided us with a stunning view towards the city, you can order a specific pillow for your stay, and they will bring it to you during the night. Location was beautiful and many restaurants to choose from! Definitely recommend the Longhorn Smokehouse, The Point Revolving and the Birdcage Bar! We were sad when our stay came to an end but the pleasant experience upon checkout really made us want to return if I could give our stay a 10/10 review I would! See you again on our next trip to Hobart!

My husband and I have been coming to WPC since 2000 and keep coming back because it offers everything we look for in a holiday - affordability, location, restaurants, gaming, parking etc. However, as seniors, we would like to especially thank Rocky, our porter this year, who went out of his way to really look after us. Rocky is someone who is a real asset to WPC as his style of welcome and attention to detail made the visit more enjoyable.

Lunch at the board walk today , greeted by a lovely lady named “Pak” , a genuinely warm , engaging person who gave the best service I have ever received there , thankyou Pak 😊

My girlfriend booked a room at the Motor Inn for 2 nights and the Tower room for another 2 nights. We forgot to swap rooms from Motor Inn to the Tower room and they were not quick to help us change rooms to the Tower room. We lost $150 in value and they mentioned we are ultimately responsible for remembering the room exchange. We had to fight to get our room changed and we received a $20 voucher for the losing the room.

Extremely amazing stay! Everything was of superb standard! We had the mountain view room on Level 16, and no matter how many days we stayed, waking up and opening the curtains to see Mt Wellington just didn’t disappoint. The rooms were spacious, clean and the bedding was so comfortable…I could’ve minted into the best slumber every night! I’m so thankful I came across this hotel when planning my trip and would stay here again in a heartbeat!

A good value accommodation option. Efficient check in and out! Large rooms with air-conditioning and television. Refurbished bathroom with great shower. Several dining and drinking options. Did not visit the casino. $12 taxi ride to harbour!

I had a 10/10 experience! The views of the mountains and the sunset from my room were spectacular. The bed was super comfortable, and everything was clean.

Good place to hang around and have food options including halal. Which is really appreciable in Hobart.

We had a wonderful time during our stay. The room was clean, and the staff promptly called in a cleaner whenever needed. The only downside was the pool and gym facilities. We stayed over New Year's Eve, and there were plenty of activities to enjoy. I would highly recommend celebrating New Year's Eve here. We were able to watch the fireworks from our seating area, and the live music at the casino, combined with the stunning view, made for an unforgettable experience.

The best place to stay in Sandy Bay. Really good views and good food with lots of spaces to sit and relax. The Boardwalk Bistro Breakfast Buffet is a must have every morning. The prices of food and drinks are very reasonable. Overall I had a great time at Wrest Point.

We stayed in a 'Water's Edge' room. We were given a room overlooking the beach, not the water. The king bed's sheets didn't fit the bed so we were short-sheeted and the old tv wasn't working properly. Couldn't get Channel 9 at all. TV guy was NOT impressed being called to fix it. Food was great and otherwise we found it okay. Wouldn't stay again, especially the price we paid.

Stayed over Christmas 2024. Not bad but improvements can be made in the following areas: 1. Xmas lunch. Two separate pre-paid dining options but very poorly organised as it was not made clear which was which nor where to attend. 2. The hot food section in both Xmas and breakfast buffets is lukewarm at best, and often cold. Cold roast potatoes and cold poached eggs are not my idea of a meal at a four star property. See what your competitors are offering by comparison. Despite this, all staff went out of their way to be helpful. 3. It took three face-to-face requests and two phone calls to receive a detailed invoice. As expected, I had been overcharged. A refund was offered immediately, to Michael's credit. 4. Free-to-air television the only option. Not what is expected for these prices. 5. Low grade bathroom lighting. Could be brighter or at least improved by dimmer switches.

Great location with a grand entrance.. water fountains at the entrance give the best welcoming vibes.. 👌 The staff is excellent 👌 The rooms were clean, well maintained and well organised.. amazing views from the window.. That was the best part of my stay here.. ❤️ Gym is sufficiently equipped and they also have got spa (check photos).. 👌👍 Parking is free and very easy to find a convenient one.. EV charging stations are also installed on site... I think I'll be a regular here since I keep travelling to Hobart for work..
