Had our family Christmas lunch/ get together here it was very well organised and the service and food was great.

Attended a wedding there, and l was pleasantly surprised by the quality of food and friendly service. They also went out of their way to provide gluten-free food for my partner. Well done.

Great venue

The food was delicious! Unfortunately I do not like ordering via a QR code - I find it impersonal, and in the end, the waiters are simply handing out food, and customer service (and satisfaction) is lost. I also found it absurd, that when paying online I was given the opportunity" to give a 10% tip to a waiter I had barely seen or talked to."

Excellent for cruisy drinks

We (group of 7) celebrated a birthday event which included 2 very busy toddlers. Postmaster staff were fantastic ensuring we were all relaxed, little ones accommodated, and our celebratory needs were taken care of. Great selection of food and drinks also. Thanks for the great service.

The Postmaster Hotel is an absolutely lovely spot! We sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful weather alongside the great atmosphere. The range of drinks on offer was excellent, and the food was absolutely fantastic—everything we tried was fresh and delicious. The staff were polite, professional, and attentive, which made the experience even better. The prices were reasonable, making it a great value for such a high-quality outing. I highly recommend the Postmaster Hotel, whether you’re catching up with friends or planning a family gathering. It’s a perfect choice for any occasion!

Pizza was delicious, perfectly cooked traditional style crust and scrummy toppings! Better than expected! Arancini tasty too. Highly recommended.

We had our staff end of year dinner function in the Q Room. Gorgeous room with its own bar and comfortable couches and tables to relax in. Guests made positive comments about the food, both with quality and quantity. Service was very good, both in manner and being attentive ensuring all dietary needs were met. Great food and fantastic service. Had dinner there for the first time on Saturday and absolutely enjoyed the experience. The fried haloumi and popcorn chicken starters were superb and very generous serves for starters. The crispy skin barramundi was beautifully cooked and the linguini marinara was the best I have had at any gastro pub. The pistachio panna-cotta was a great way to finish the meal. Will definitely be back to try more of the menu!

The inside was lovely and cool on a hot day. We were a large group and worked out really great with ordering through QR. Dropped my stars with the atmosphere section as the seats are quite uncomfortable, and toilets were down 2 very steep flight's of stairs. Sadly, it's not very disabled friendly. The food and staff were, however, fantastic!

We had a great function at Postmasters (Q room). Good space set up for a stand up function and enough seating for those that need it. Booking a function was easy with support from Jacinta. The steak and mash were both very nice . The only letdown is you either have to order on the phone or at the bar .

I had dinner here with my daughters recently, It was absolutely lovely, all our food (pasta and steak) was really delicious. The wait and bar staff were very friendly which added to the ambience and happy atmosphere of the place. Will definitely be coming back here, and highly recommend for your friends and family :)

I came here with my family, we really loved it! The staff were so friendly and welcoming and took care of us wonderfully. Our food was delicious, I really enjoyed the steak sandwich, my parents had the parmigiana and they loved it as well. Our desserts (we had all of them) were also very delicious, I would recommend coming here with your family and we will definitely be back!

Went to this hotel on 09-09-24 for lunch. Service was good, atmosphere was very quiet. My son and I both ordered the parmigiana which came with chips and a coleslaw. The chips and the coleslaw were nice however the parmigiana was one of the worst I have tried to eat. The chicken was watery and slimy - my son's was pink in places and mine had a big purple blotch. I've never seen purple chicken but I have now. Neither of us could eat it, and when the girl took our plates we told her there was something wrong with them. (Note we weren't asking for our money back,) She smiled and said she would tell the chef, and that is the last we saw of her. The chef never made an appearance either. Not sure how you could stuff up cooking a parmigiana, but if do do order one there I'd be checking it. I'm thinking that the chicken is frozen, then defrosted to cook, which wasn't done properly, otherwise I can't see how it would be watery and slimy.

So good I would come here every day if I could😍👍

Hired out a function room for my wife's 50th birthday. Food was amazing. Service was excellent. Atmosphere was next level. Everybody there could not stop commenting on how beautiful the venue is. Couldn't think of a nicer venue in Melbourne to have a function at. I would highly recommend Postmasters

I was really impressed with this place. It has a broad menu, prices were not over-the-top, and the presentation and quality of food was up there.

Ordered Uber Eats. Porterhouse steak. Yeah - it was a bit extravagant. Steak was tasty, really well cooked (as in rare and pink) and very very tasty. The accompanying veg was a bit of a dog's dinner. Not enough of it. But who cares? It was the steak I was interested in. We also had a side of chips and they were, possibly, the best chips I've ever had in Melbourne. Top marks. I think. I'll be doing this again. Expensive, but worth it.

My wife and I had a shared 70th birthday celebration in an adjoining room to the bar and it was a huge success, judging by the compliments from friends and family who attended. Because of the planning and preparations by Tony and staff, the evening went seamlessly and exceeded expectations.

Came here for a Christmas a Party. We had an alternating menu, which is probably a bad idea since your main meal was comparing a chicken parma with a fillet steak and the chicken parma, along with the seafood entree, just felt like they're fresh from a freezer bag at the local woolies. Deserts were ok, but I'm not a fan of sticky date pudding, so I'm glad I got the lemon tart. The staff were really nice and the atmosphere just felt like a regular pub.

This place is beautiful. I booked the function room. The room was spacious and very elegant with the gorgeous chandeliers and furnishings. The food was yummy. We had our own bar & bar tender Luka who was lovely and kind. Definitely recommend for your next function!

Every visit to Postmaster has been a wonderful experience. The food is delicious, and really well priced, the staff are friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere is nice. I’ve tried a new menu item each time I’ve visited. I think this might have been visit 6 and have never been disappointed. On this visit I had the Margherita Pizza and it was amazing.

Nice place to have a drink in a beautiful building with a nice front outdoor area. The only issue is the food. Extremely limited options for gluten free and vegetarian.

I keep coming back here for the fries with aioli. Chicken Parma is good too. Service is great.

They do everything well. Decent selection of wine and craft beer. Their steaks are of really high quality and exceptionally well cooked. Staff are always friendly and inviting.

Really nice suburban pub in Kew, where we wanted to try 'Steak Night.' We were a 'walk-in' as they don't take bookings for under 5 people, which is fine; and, we had no issue although the place was very busy for a Monday night. Order at the bar or via the app on the table - straightforward. We had the Steak Nite Special ($29) which was a 220g eye fillet, with broccolini and chips with your choice of sauce. They were beautiful cuts of meat cooked medium rare perfectly, and the mushroom sauce was delicious and the hot English mustard packed a punch. We also ordered a cos salad ($10) which was refreshing and full of flavour with the vinaigrette. Two glasses of wine: a Tellurian Evo shiraz ($15), and an il Fumo sangiovese at ($14) we thought was very reasonable. Beautiful steak, great value at $97 all up for two, good service at a nice hotel. We will go back; and maybe try one of the other special nights as well, but Monday Steak Night is marked on our calendar. Thanks.

We had a little corporate get together with some of our members and suppliers and it was a fabulous night and everything was made simple for us by all the staff and managers. We will be back!

Plant based options lacking. Received a bowl of dry grains with some cucumber & thinly sliced snow peas. The chef needs to be a little more creative. Some avocado, marinated vegetables, aioli - anything to add flavour & texture. Swapped the meal out for a vegan pizza, which was nice enough, but coated in a layer of oil 😅

I am vegetarian and they said they couldn’t remove the pork from the vegetarian option because it was too late but it was just stuck to the the cheese, so they could have melted new cheese on top without the meat…/
