Our dinner is beautiful, fresh and tasty, affordable price. There is a staff who is very caring to the guests and coming to every tables to make sure everything is good which is amazing thing.

Visiting Melbourne for the Australian open golf, went to the pub with three mates. Had a meal and a drink. Enjoyed it so much we went back the next night. Food was good, atmosphere good , staff very friendly and helpful.

Newish menu! Nachos were fabulous, generous and cheesie with lots of fresh sour cream, guacamole and salsa. Absolutely perfect and a vast improvement on its predecessor! Thank you Deb, Jake, Samuel and Chefs. 😘

Went here for Sunday lunch with a large group. Today it was very busy. We ordered lots of dishes. I explained to the ladies chefs because waiter's didn't know we needed some gluten free, some nuts free and some vegan. They have good knowledge and makes food properly, well presented and it's was on time.we are definitely coming back.....

Met out of town relatives with my elderly mother. Easy parking. Was surprised how quite it was but that suited us as we could easily talk. Could not fault the food and the size of the Seniors Meals was generous given the price. Service was attentive. Will be back.

Attended 17/10 for dinner. Food was delicious! We had calamari, fried chicken, steak with veg and mash. Couldn’t fault the food! The lady that served us was so friendly and provided wonderful customer service by checking up on us at our table. The young female behind the bar was also very friendly and helpful. All this has made us want to return asap! Highly recommend

Went here for my birthday eve. Staff were so chatty and friendly and such an amazing vibe. Food was absolutely delicious and got two rounds of garlic bread. Me and my friends had a lovely meal and will definitely come back

Very quiet lunchtime service, staff were terrific and food was very good.

We enjoyed a wonderful afternoon celebration for my dad's 90th birthday in the private room at Forester's Arms over the weekend. I could not speak highly enough of the attention to detail, communication and professionalism prior to the event and particularly on the day by Logan and the team. Logan went over and above to ensure our day was very special. Everything including balloons were already set up for us on arrival. Food was plentiful and great. Logan, thank you so much - you are awesome !!!

My girlfriend and I visited Castellos where Logan was managing. The food and service were excellent; it is a very comfortable place for dinner.

I took my mum to Castellos Foresters Arms Hotel for lunch on sunday 19/5/24. I ordered a chicken schnitzel with chips and salad. I thoroughly enjoyed the meal. The schnitzel was beautifully crumbed and crisp on the outside and tender and moist on the inside. The chips were superb and the salad was delicious with a yummy dressing. 10/10 Mum ordered a chicken ceaser salad which she thoroughly enjoyed thats castellos forsesters arms hotel :)

This venue used to have a great atmosphere before it was renovated. It had a relaxing beer garden where you could play Keno and watch footy, lovely wooden seating and tables, and a pub menu that was varied and you knew was quality. Now the menu is over priced, with few options that are worth ordering and there's no beer garden to sit in and relax with a beer. If you want to sit with a beer and watch a game, you'll be sitting inside with those who want a meal. There's an entrance to the men's toilet in the gaming room that stinks of urine. This smell does not go away, added to this is the overpowering smell of air freshener, it's absolutely sickening. The staff are also not knowledgeable and inconsistent with their information.... Where's the training? I have asked three different staff members the same question, and received three different answers! This includes management. The staff have absolutely no clue about what the venue's membership offers, ask some of the young guys a question and they act like a deer in headlights.

First time visit!! Nice venue.. Dining area, there were plenty of empty tables.. Wanted to sit in a bigger table, was told no. Sure, we were 2 people.. But as l said, plenty of tables.!!! Also not very helpful.... Went to the coffee station.. The waiter there was very pleasant & helpful.. He had blue hair👌.... Food, 👍red velvet cake, coffee👍

A group of us hired the function room at Castellos Foresters Arms Hotel. I ordered the chicken parma with peppercorn sauce, which was tasty. Thank you for the delicious food and great service.

Casual dinning venue with bar and pokie machines, located close to Chadstone shopping centre. Staff are helpful and their is a function room available for large groups. I have noticed that the senior meal has shrunk considerably over the last few years- I might have eaten Melbourne's smallest Parma. Even accompanying salad was only a few leaves

Here for Sunday dinner. Just made it for happy hour 😄. We've been here a few times. Place was empty except for 2 droning drunks. A manager, I presume, with green hair stuck us next to these two. When I asked to be moved, we were stuck next to the toilets (everything else booked ?) Food (linguine, roast lamb, seafood stew) all well received. Staff very good. The experience of coming up against this man means we won't be back. Pity, but there better places locally. Try the Clayton Hotel on a Sunday night

Went for Valentine’s Day dinner celebrating at the place we had our first date 48 years ago. Went with some trepidation after reading reviews but any fears were soon allayed by the friendliness of staff and the high quality of our (seniors’) pub meals. Consequently we stayed much longer than we expected. A most enjoyable evening.

Food was OK. Service was OK.

The food was poorly cooked, service staff clearly undertrained, and if you have any allergies or intolerances, I'd recommend looking elsewhere with more options (and more staff who know about the dietary options). First and foremost... the chicken parmigiana was lovely, until I got to the middle of it and it was raw. It actually looked as if they'd slapped on breadcrumbs and warmed it up, rather than actually cooking through. Thankfully we got a refund which was much appreciated. Someone else at our table received a flat, very overcooked steak which really wasn't worth $45 nor was close to the 300g it was advertised to be. The only food I'd recommend are the wedges, chips, and vegetarian tacos. The service here was interesting. Bar staff were perfectly friendly, but ordering at the kitchen was an experience. As two people with dietaries we struggled to get answers regarding what certain dishes contained, to ensure we wouldn't have any cross contamination and reactions; this included finding out what the 'vegetable schnitzel' was actually made from. Unfortunately, whilst he was trying to help us, the person serving us at the kitchen counter knew almost nothing about the food on the menu. After speaking with the chef who said that the 'Chicken Scallopine' was gluten free, the server came back and said that all of the pasta was gluten free. After reading out what the chicken scallopine contains he said he thought it was pasta but obviously not, and had to double check to find that the pasta was not gluten free. Overall, the food and drinks at this restaurant are overpriced, service staff have clearly not been trained properly to handle different scenarios that their jobs require, and I'd never recommend the food. I wouldn't recommend this place any time soon.

I like Forresters but 1 thing annoys me, I organise a yearly get together of about 30 people and book out a room for the gathering. They charge me $200 to hire the room even tho the people I am bringing in to their hotel are ordering meals and drinks etc. Most other Hotels give you back your deposit once the gathering takes place but the Forresters dont, might have to go somewhere else next year!

Really enjoyed the Parmagiana and chips...excellent! All of us were rather happy with the food on offer. Service was friendly as well. Great night:)

Staff were openly dropping plates, throwing trays and laughing about it. Food was also not great although I thoroughly enjoyed the arancini. Don’t come here for a meal. But a good place to grab a quick drink and watch the footy

As l walked in l thought it felt warm and friendly and relaxed. As it being FATHERS DAY l thought it would be packed but we got a table easily enough mind you it was only 12-15pm but by the time we were leaving it was really starting to fill up. My hubby daughter enjoyed their meals and l enjoyed mine although I didn't really have a meal per say (bowl of wedges, sweet chilli sce and sour cream but even that was nice. Will certainly be going back soon.

Fully updated, easy, clean and spacious modern ambience. Plenty of parking and good access from the rear. Wider discounts for seniors.

3 of us go monthly for dinner on a weeknight. Food is consistently good, service is friendly and efficient. Atmosphere is quiet, which is great for talking. 10% seniors' discount is nice. Easy parking.

Disgusting way of treating members...Pick a Box ..don't bother participating...do not bother with membership...to win a pick of the Pick a BOX...I WON $5...Can you imagine members stayed on for the chance to win something..and the establishment thinks its fine for a member to win $5..Then to be told your ticket CAN NOT be put back in barrel for the next 3 Pick a BOX draws till 8pm...for a chance to win anything BECAUSE I HAD WON $5...NUTS!!

From all accounts the family enjoyed the burgers they had. The steak was probably one of the worst I've had in recent memory and not worth the $44 and pretty sure not 300g. As much as the menu bragged marbling, it was thin and poorly cooked. Garlic butter was a few frozen cubes and a small lame salad to accompany. The chips were delicious. Atmosphere of typical pokies joint that has no seperation from the eating area, so not that kid friendly. Beer was fresh and delicious. So great place to watch the game as the snacks menu looks awesome, maybe just avoid the steaks.

Have been there with friends 24 June 23 & again Sat 1 July 23. Always good food & friendly staff.

The food is very average and their prices are way too high for what to get. It’s a pity cos it’s so close to where I live but I will never go there again. It looks like the seniors are the only ones who eat there because of the discount.

My wife and I had another lunch on Friday June16 and it was just as good as last time. It's now on our regular list of good food venues presented well by friendly staff My wife and I had lunch on Friday, May 19 and it was quite an eye opener. Not having been there for several years we were both delighted with the transformation of the interior and then, the food! Excellent - well presented and hot - and a delight to eat. The service, both at the bar and the dining room, was cheerful and very professionally served. I do recommend the Foresters Arms for anyone who wants value for their dollar. We'll be back for sure.

A gem in the suburbs. Great menu and always a good variety of weekly specials. We've tried most of the menu and are yet to be disappointed. Recent addition of sharing platters are great for 2-3 people.
