Great food. Different for pub food much nicer. Well presented. Atmosphere is nice, live band and lots of outdoor settings. Lots of rear parking as well

It's a suburban ponies pub. The menu is obviously written by a proemu writer, but the execution is not so pro. Pre cooked microwaved bar Marie stuff. It's ok

As a local I try and support you all. I would like to congratulate you all on the huge improvements, in food,, staff, and ambiance. My husband and I brought our friend from England and his sister who lives in Dingley, for dinner last night. We all were SENIORS! And the food was beautiful and plentiful. Your staff were so lovely and helpful…..and can’t recommend high enough. The food was excellent - Tuesday night chef - CONGRATULATIONS. Only complaint - my 88 year old husband would have loved a sticky date pudding or apple crumble….haha.

We always come here for dinner and have always had great meals. Unfortunately, for my husband's birthday lunch today, it was a complete let down. Osso Bucco was all bones and hardly any meat. Roast lamb was so tough it was inedible, the chicken parmigiana was so tough around the edges as if microwaved for too long, and the kids burgers were pretty burnt so they only ate the chips. Extremely disappointing.

Nice food, great location

Ordered a vegan schnitzel and got a heart shaped vegetable pattie. So disappointed. Informed staff this is NOT a schnitzel and was told that is what the company dictates as a schnitzel. Please change your label for the menu. How hard is it to get frozen vegan schnitzels in????? Staff were delightful and offered a replacement dish. Thanks to the staff. 👎to selling veggie burger as a schnitzel. Will not eat there again

great food and service

We have now experienced 2 consecutive Christmas Day Lunches at Chelsea Longbeach and cannot fault the quality of meals as well as customer service. We will definitely consider returning for Christmas lunch again next year.

Went for lunch - no wait for a table for 2 so that was a plus. The wait for our food was over 25 minutes. We had to ask for our food twice. No apology offered. Ravioli appeared to be frozen out of a packet with hardly any filling and very bland. Drowning in a plate of under roasted veg. Nasi Goreng was average. Won’t be going back!!

The worst and most expensive Christmas lunch that I’ve ever had 1st meal was very basic Antipasto no breads to have with meats or vegetables 2 nd meal mushroom ravioli that had no mushrooms Salmon that was very dry And roast was the worst tasting turkey and for roast potatoes must of been reheated tasted like Deb potatoes It was so disappointing would not recommend anyone to have Xmas lunch there

It was the 1st time ive been , tonight Christmas Eve ... ordered a Chicken Parma ... The Veggies were stone cold so too the chips , food was brought out with no cutlery ... poor service no attention of staff The Parma out of 10 was a 3 .. 1st and last time ..!!! DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY GO TO THE RIV OR THE BRIDGE Merry Christmas

It's been some time since we had last dined at Castello's, and boy has it changed....for the better. Five of us met there to celebrate the arrival of Christmas. We each ordered different meals, with mine being slow cooked lamb osso bucco. We all commented on how good our meals were and how good the overall ambience of the bistro was, with plenty of light, framed photographs of local landmarks, and the like. We weren't the only ones enjoying ourselves there either.....the bistro was packed, with a steady buzz of conversations, but not overwhelmingly loud as with other venues. We will be definitely going back

Salty nasi goreng, worst fish and chips. Lamb shanks in a bone! Cant find meat on it 🫣

Pretty good Atmosphere

Had a wonderful experience here on Saturday night. Booked a table for a group of us. Lovely seating area, all meals were delicious, prompt and efficient service. Very impressed. We ended up staying here for 4 hours and had the best time. Looking forward to coming back and trying more of the menu.

Nice place, parking out back, clean. Unfortunately the choc chip muffin had no chocolate chip flavour at all despite being choc chip and was tasteless. The fried burritos had barely any toppings and no dressing on the lettuce was overpriced for the small serving. Dessert is not really on offer here. There was only one slice of cake in the dessert cabinet even though we were first in and left after 9. Otherwise a nice venue.

My Daughter and Son in law had their wedding reception in the Castello's Longbeach Hotel's Function room ( 23rd Nov 24 ). WOW !! It was Amazing , it exceeded all expectations, everything was perfect ! The Function room is beautiful , clean and the perfect size. The windows on both sides lead out to a lovely balcony with views of the Bay, the neutral, classy colour scheme and set up of the room made it so easy to add our personal touch. The food was great ! Rivon our event manager went over and above to make everything extra special, he was professional, accommodating and a joy to work with , honestly, I cant speak highly enough of the effort he made to make my daughters wedding day so memorable and I highly recommend speaking to Rivon if you are in need of somewhere to have your function ! Thank you Rivon and Cassie for your wonderful service and if i could give you more stars than 5, I would ♥

The service was outstanding, the decor was outstanding- the food was appalling- would not recommend this place for food to anyone- the fish was soaked in oil and when cut was oozing with oil- over cooked along with the chips. The oil was obviously not hot enough and it is so easy to cook this meal it is extremely disappointing. My partner had the lime calamari and it was the same.

Went there today for Saturday lunch I thought our waiter was very friendly, charming and attentive. I enjoyed my pizza and my lunch companions enjoyed their meals too. Our seating very comfy and not too noisy most of time. Reasonably priced, good pub lunch thanks .

Had to wait more than 1 hour to get food while I was watching everyone else getting it. Staff really didn’t want to be there. If you are charging 15% extra in a PH, at least put people that are keen to provide a nice service.

Slowest service ever. Waited 25 minutes for calamari and side dish of fries when the place wasn’t even busy on a public holiday. Rudest girl at the front - seemed like she hated working there and was abrupt and miserable. Wouldn’t recommend anyone going here. Worst experience ever.

So disappointed in my local today! Some fabulous friendly service from the younger bartenders but there is a woman working there that came across very aggressive and agitated Absolutely ruined the mood of our group on grand final day. I’ve had a couple of disappointing meals here but not bad enough to give a bad review. But as a 56 year old never have I had to deal with this kind of behaviour like we were naughty children being scolded. So disappointed!

We ordered 2 seniors barramundi and chips my sister never got her chips and I got 6 chips and the fish was very nice BUT it was A childs serving ,I couldn’t believe how small it was everywhere I have been for a seniors meals ,are amazing we were very disappointed won’t be back

Absolutely appalling service and unprofessional management I was potentially drugged and then robbed near the entrance of Longbeach Hotel, so I approached the venue manager, Cathy, for assistance in reviewing the security footage. My sole intention was to gather more information about the timing of the incident to help me piece together the facts before taking further action. Instead of offering help, Cathy responded in an extremely rude, dismissive, and obnoxious manner. She belittled my experience, showed zero empathy, and flat-out refused to assist. Not only was she unprofessional, but Cathy also demonstrated a lack of basic competence. Rather than offer any assistance, she rattled off random, non-existent privacy laws with zero relevance or application to my situation as an excuse for avoiding any additional work or effort. It was clear that helping patrons in a meaningful way was not her priority. This experience has left me feeling completely unsupported and disrespected. Owners and Higher Management at Longbeach Hotel should seriously reconsider how they treat patrons who are victims of crime. Cathy’s handling of the situation was not just unhelpful, but wholly unacceptable.

My daughter always used to love going to Costello's Longbeach Hotel for lunch or tea... As from tonight I will never return there the tea was disgusting and disgraceful small pieces of fish with more pumpkin three sprigs of beans as I would call that a child's meal not an adult meal very disappointing... It was horrible i couldn't eat the meal it was hard as rocks, for the price you pay the meal was a 1 star effort...

First time foy years we came for lunch. Great staff, friendly and welcoming. Only negative was the cocktails lacked punch. We will return

Dinner was not what I expected ordered the gnocchi and the beef was fatty and tough the gnocchi were hard. The chicken scallopini was to creamy chunky bacon.

Great experience with friendly professional staff, tasty food, value drinks and a good vibe. Will be back. My chicken scalllopini was yummy.

Had a group of 10 for dinner on Thursday night and when we arrived they had no record of my reservation. Had the Nasi Goreng and ended up with gastro and vomiting to day and 1/2! Not happy and probably won’t be back.

make sure in winter you do not book a ‘booth table’. The staff told me they couldn’t move me and it was freezing cold near the door and they couldn’t turn the heater up as it was centralised. Absolutely freezing cold venue, appalling on a cold winter’s day. Surely the place should be warm and toasty on a winter’s night to the point you take your jackets off. Not here….. everyone was wearing jackets and the staff gave zero cares…. Do not come here in winter is my advice.

Had a meal on Friday with another 23 or so ladies..ordered seniors barramundi 20.28 (.28surcharge) so small could hardly see on the plate…ordered a bowl of chips to share as a few of us were still hungry 9.12 (.12 surgharge) and a aperol spritz 16.21 (.21surchareg). All up and extra .61 cent for a very ordinary meal..

Been for dinner a couple of times now. Can recommend, and will definitely be going back. Good service, tasty food, plus, the general vibe & decor is very pleasing.

The food was delicious. Was here for a private event and the space was ample. Service was excellent.

We went to a family wedding bar and food service was excellent as was band and venue. I noticed a restaurant downstairs bar and other usual hotel facilities and outdoors with a carparking and street parking as is beach foreshore close by. As it's location is in a shopping area lots to do in the area with Edithvale, Chelsea Carrum to Seaford Wetlands walking cycling trails 👣

Great setting and staff amazing. Unfortunately the meals were fantastic to look at but unfortunately they were Served cold / warm except for the steak so Obviously they had them all ready but were waiting on the steak. Unfortunately the roast lamb and vegetables were cold. The gravy too. We were tempted to send them back. We ate them but didnt enjoy them. Such s shame as we were really looking forward to a nice meal.
