We LOVE this resort. We have stayed annually for the past 5-years and just love the location for our beach holiday. Bad weather doesn’t matter as the apartments are still very comfortable and the pool is heated, easy drive to indoor activities on other parts of the gold coast. But being right on the beach is our favourite part. No need to pack beach umbrellas, once you’ve had enough beach action head back to the resort and relax like you are in your own home. We enjoy night time walks on the beach too and night swims in the heated pool. Very conveniently located with cafes, restaurants and convenience stores all an easy walk, so you can enjoy home cooked meals or order in. Staff are friendly enough and not in your grill. Grounds are very well kept and shared facilities are always well presented. Can recommend for families and beach lovers.

Their rooms have clean, fresh smelling air conditioning. They obviously keep up with the A/C maintenance.😀😀😀 Back again for their Units air con maintenance. Now under new management, and boy oh boy, what a difference to the place. The grounds, all trim and well kept, the pool, massive renovation, the rooms, spick and span and the new management are just AWSOME. It is a pleasure working here.

Great place to stay for a family. Large apartments, a little aged (but still comfortable). Inexpensive. Proximity to the beach and local cafes is fantastic. Significant aircraft and traffic noise at this location but it didn't bother us too much. Will be back again

The location is right on the beach. Also, nice shops and Tigun Tavern right there. 8 minutes from the airport, the planes landing just alongside the beach. You can hear them, but soon stop noticing. We found the location of the property is very convenient, for our travels up/down the coast. Upon arrival we had not so welcoming experience at the reception, Lady just turned into stone, when she could not find our booking by name. It turned out My name and last name was switched. Property provided parking, but it's underground, and our van didn't meet 2 m height requirements, we end up parking outside the resort. The apartment was double bedroom, with dishwasher, washer and a stove and has kettle and coffee pod machine. Has non smoking sign, but the apparent has a very strong smell of cigarettes. Overall the place was clean, with few signs of the previous occupants. Toilet paper is provided in both toilets, but if you are aiming for a long stay, you'll need to purchase extra. If you intend to cook, you got to buy all oils and aluminium foil yourself. The property sends you a list of items that are available, so all extra at your own expense. Overall our stay was ok, just few things, the AC remote batteries, had to changed, had no AC for one night. Also one morning the main light was off in the gym. On the last day, the fire alarm went off for about 20 minutes, but turned out was false alarm. We received the communication from the property to remove our rubbish upon check out. Turn AC and all lights off. I have delivered some of above feedback to the receptionists. I wish people were more into listening, and taking notes of the honest feedback, as it helps to improve the experience for others. Don't think we will stay here again. If you are tired of welcoming people into your place, then maybe think of not working with people and finding other places where you don't need to interact so much.

This is a fantastic spot for a holiday, we spent two nights here on the beach then headed inland to Crystal Creek Rainforest Retreat, and excellent way to spend a week of your need to get away and relax!

Stayed in a 2 bed unit. Was very clean & had good access to the underground car park & central garden/pool area.

I've stayed for the last 3 weeks no complaints here just some main bedrooms need a TV in them. But all in all a great holiday apartment and also for working away

Rooms were clean and spacious. Wasn’t as modern but very comfortable. The host was lovely and even able to check in after hours. The location was amazing on the water and the airport.

Location is great. Accommodation clean but tired.

The resort is a wonderful place to enjoy the beach and surrounds. It is within easy walking distance to Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary - a must do. The swimming pool is large, very clean and a decent deep end. Access is easy and the staff are very helpful.

Booked in for a 2 night stay. Michele on reception was so friendly and welcoming. The one bedroom apartment was very clean and bright. The decor was beachy. The balcony had an ocean view. The unit was well equipped. The gardens and pool area was beautiful. Location is ideal. Value for money... yes. Includes secure carpark and very safe fob only entry.

Always a good stay, all amenities are top notch and you can't beat the views up and down the coast.

We got a great room on 2nd floor, but a terrible room on the ground floor where plumbing noises kept us awake all night. We couldn't call anyone. When we asked for a partial refund the duty manager not only ignored our request for an email back from the head management, but curtly dismissed us. The hotel is very maze like and should have a better guest introduction to find rooms. The resort is in a fabulous beach position but directly under the Coast flight path and were constantly drowned out by jets.

When you look at reviews for Gold Coast apartments many of them have equal numbers of one and five star ratings which makes it sound like it’s a bit hit or miss as to whether you get a good or bad apartment to stay at. But almost all the ratings for this place were four or five, with one notable low rating coming from someone who wanted to have a party by the pool and keep partying on after 10pm. Given the management told them NO, that review sold me on his being a place to try. And it did not disappoint. A big comfortable apartment, with what looks like a recent recarpeting and new sun block out curtains, very well equipped kitchen and good condition lounge and dining suite. Yes it’s an older block but it’s well looked after and seems to be regularly updated. The location close to the beach is great, the restaurants nearby are good and varied and even the planes going overhead is not a big problem as far as I am concerned. Minor issues. More than a few of the pavers around the pool and surrounding walkways need to be reset to stop them from moving. And I do struggle to understand why for a four night stay we only get given one sachet for the dishwasher and one sachet of washing up liquid. Bottom line though is that I would definitely stay again and have no hesitation in recommending it.

Great value resort. They're always heavily booked for this reason. The garden and pool area are well designed with a relaxed feel. 2/3 of the rooms are up stairs, the apartments being on 3 levels. There are NO lifts, and many of the ground floor apartments are on long term lease, so you may need to bear the stairs in mind when booking. However, the resort is very well run, the staff are friendly, and the location is excellent for the beautiful Tugun Beach, as well as all the local shops and restaurants. Recommended...

Right on the beach and close to the highway for easy access; close to the airport. 2 bedroom unit was spacious enough for 4 but facility would not suit anyone with mobility issues - it's a rabbit warren of narrow winding paths, multiple levels for both walkways and rooms and lots of stairs (we didn't see an elevator). Resort has a pool (which we didn't use). Convenient as it had after-hours secure check in. Very affordable. Good for an overnight stay en route to the airport.

We had a 10 week stay at the Golden Riviera and enjoyed it a lot. Very convenient location as the resort is beachfront and walking distance to many shops and restaurants. This place has permanent residents and caters mostly to couples and families; not recommended for noisy late night parties. We stayed in a spacious and lovely 2 bedroom unit which had been beautifully renovated. However, we did have to move to other units for a week and found out that some places are definitely in need of basic upgrades. The grounds, various BBQ areas, and heated pool are very clean and the staff is super friendly. The Management team provides quick and efficient service and makes every effort to accommodate special requests such as a much appreciated early check-in after a long flight! Perfect place for a beach vacation with all the conveniences.

We were here with our grandchildren and it was perfect. Lovely comfortable units and very clean. Close proximity to the pool an asset. A bit tricky with a push chair

The facilities were great and location but the management was terrible. If you are going with a group of people and looking to have a good time and late nights etc don't stay here. We got told repeatedly to be quiet and go to bed. This was all at 10pm. I understand that there are residents that also live there and had I known this, I never would have stayed. It ruined our weekend. We were part of a dance event and came from another state, and to not even be able to have a few drinks by the pool in the evening or in our rooms, it was extremely disappointing. We were not very loud and didn't have the music loud. Just conversing normally. Also bit rich having only one day of toilet paper and detergents supplied but being expected to have everything clean and tidy. Very wasteful as we weren't going to carry detergent and loo paper back home on the plane. Being yelled at, at 10:01pm and told to go to bed several times was totally uncalled for.

Our three-week stay at the lovely Golden Riviera Resort in Tugun was wonderfully relaxing and enjoyable. The resort has a large, heated pool, bubble spa and BBQ facilities located in a picturesque, landscaped garden that made us feel that we were in a tropical oasis. This beach-front property is located right next to stunning Tugun beach. The spacious apartments were beautiful, well-equipped with full kitchen & laundry, extremely comfortable and very clean. They were great value for the comfort and facilities they offered. Internet connection in the apartments was great and I was able to use it for work during my stay. Undercover parking is also available at the resort. The property is conveniently located next to the Tugun beach shops, within a few minutes’ walk to restaurants, cafes, bars, Tugun Surf Life Saving Club, public transport, an IGA grocery store, and other amenities. The location was fantastic - it was wonderful to go for walks on the beautiful beach and listen to the sound of the ocean waves. In the mornings, we were greeted by refreshing sea breezes and sulphur-crested cockatoos & rainbow lorikeets that came over to visit and sit on our balcony. What made Golden Riviera extra special was the wonderful Management team in charge of the place. Conrad, Vashty and their family made us feel very welcome and attended promptly to all our needs. Early check-ins and late check-outs were not an issue and they were very friendly, attentive and helpful with everything which made our stay there a real pleasure. We highly recommend Golden Riviera Resort for a relaxing holiday in a fabulous beachfront location in the Gold Coast. We loved our stay and look forward to going back there again!

Had a fantastic time here had everything we needed and in a great location walking distance to a supermarket and places to eat. If you want a massage there is also a place near by. Pokies down stairs and a place to have a drink as well as a great meal. Beach just out the gate. What more could you ask for. The secure off street parking was also a massive bonus. 👌

This one is a mixed review for mine. Some good things and not so good. The good: Location is fantastic and the place is quite clean. But most importantly the pricing was great value in comparison to other options closer to Surfers Paradise. The rooms are mostly well equipped with good amenities. The bad: The whole issue of waste needs to be looked at by the managers / owners. There are no commingle recycling options here and everything unnecessarily goes to landfill. Oddly in contrast, they have container recycling bins which generate revenue for the hotel. As a waste industry veteran I find this pretty ordinary. Secondly, the consumables provided are poor and you can't leave anything for people coming after you - things like laundry and dishwashing detergent, bin bags, aluminium foil, etc need to be provided by travellers and then thrown out as you can't take them back with you on the plane if you have no space. We stayed for 1.5 weeks and the apartment was serviced once - 2 bin bags and 2 rolls of toilet paper isn't going to cut it. Also it is impossible to clean the public bbq as requested by the managers when you have nothing to clean it with?? Thirdly, the plates and some of the cutlery are inadequate for the size of the dishwasher provided. 3 knives and 5 large plates is wasting the water quite a bit, yet there are signs around the facility asking you to conserve water. Also on the topic of hot water, there are no limiters on the temp for the taps and this can be dangerous. Overall we would return here, however the owners / managers need to take this stuff seriously. Some people have made mention of some of these things in their reviews and nothing has been done about it.

Awesome location. We had a great 2 bedroom apartment with a well equipped kitchen and spacious bathrooms. Right on the beach so we enjoyed our evening stroll on the sand watching the sun set. The kids loved the pool, although the spa pool could be warmer. Perfect ending to a great holiday in G.C. Highly recommend.

The rooms were nice for the price point. TV lacked a bit, but you don't go to the Gold Coast to watch the news. Parking and locations near the proper stairways are way off. Minor inconvenience. Would stay here again for sure.

OMG! Best resort ever. I loved my stay here. The Managers and their staff were the epiphany of kindness. I was very lucky to stay 10 weeks here. And so very, very blessed to have made new friends :)

Great host, tidy and friendly, directly on the beach and near shops. Clean big heated pool and spacious units to use. They are clean and tidily appointed with plenty of space and a full kitchen. The gardens are well maintained and its directly on a gorgeous beach.

My sister and her family from Sydney have stayed here twice now and would book again. Situated on Tugun beachfront, walk to local shops and restaurants and cafes. We love visiting her here also.

The room we got was nice, it had a kitchen and a master bedroom plus another bedroom with 2 single beds. It's right next to the beach which is beautiful. There are lots of blue bottle jelly fish though. The wifi network you are supposed to connect to doesn't really work because the password the gave us for our rooms wifi was not working, so we had to use our data. They have a nice pool that is really warm because water from the spa flows into the pool (on purpose). The spa itself is a bit cold for a spa though. Overall it's a really nice place to stay at!

We just had a 7 night stay at Golden Riverina. The location is great being close to the beach and shops/ cafes. For the price, the resort is very tired. There is a lot of grout missing in exterior tiles and a lot are chipped being unsafe especially around the pool area. The key swiping gets frustrating. Don’t leave your room without your key or you can get locked out. It would be nice to be able to freely move around the resort once you’ve checked in. For a 7 night stay please provide more dish washing liquid etc. I know you can get it from IGA, but surely for the price of the stay, enough dishwashing liquid could be provided. Be prepared for stairs. We were on the 6th floor from the carpark with no lift for luggage. No aircon in the main bedroom. There was a lady manning the pool gate and bubbles of the spa. She was very friendly but off putting to our children. She picked up on their names and was telling them what to do. Made them confused and uncomfortable.||I probably wouldn’t stay again unless we got a ground floor room at an off peak time.

This is really lovely accommodation. Our one bedroom apartment was modern and immaculately clean. Plenty of room and seperate toilet which is a bonus. Small outside courtyard.Check in was friendly and efficient . The pool was deep and super clean with plenty of sun lounges, however they do charge a hire fee of $5 per towel. I have never seen this before. Maybe a bond would be better or BYO. Only other addition would be a handrail to get in and out of bath/shower. It's quite a drop down to get out. Overall a great stay.|
