This store is simply great, always crowded but the staff there also wonderful.
I went into the store looking for digital and potentially film camera options and Nick provided excellent service and helped me understand some important points about what I should be looking for and gave some great options.
The best customer service I've had anywhere for a long time I bought a TV and George the salesman , spent a lot of time with me explaining the different products. I am very happy with my new TV. It's very clear and better than my previous one . I also got a reduction on the price as it dropped the next day.
Joel in the phone section is an absolute lad. His knowledge made the selection process very easy and he ensured I got the best deal.
Service second to none..
Came here about a week ago in regards to my earbuds malfunctioning and got helped well. I was told to wait at reception and it took them about 15min for someone to come and help me. Keeping in mind that when I came in the store was closing within 30min. I showed them my product, the receipt and explained the issue. They saw that this product was still in the one-year-warranty and one of their employees got told to replace them with me and see what I'd like. The brand and type of earbuds I have is apparently discontinuing and they did not have the same one or 1/2 variants up. We walked back to reception and the employee who was helping me asked the manager how they could order one in. To make a long story short: I got quite upgraded from the brand I had to a better type since that was the only one type left and I had been having issues with my earbuds for quite a while now. I had a good experience with this JB Hi-Fi store and they truly did everything to resolve the issues I've been having for 2.5 years now with my current brand/type or earbuds. The manager truly took his time to get this sorted once and for all and made sure I would not have to come back to the store again. I appreciate their efforts and would come back here again.
Ordered a laptop on Black Friday, for Christmas, (we actually wanted it earlier but Christmas was as late as we thought it would go) they told us that it would come in around 10 days, and 100% before Christmas. Fast forward to now and it’s January. No laptop and it’s not even coming soon?!? Like it’s literally coming late jan but idk if I can even trust that anymore? Like my studies start soon and I don’t have it yet. Very unprofessional

I recently visited JB Hi-Fi, hoping to get some assistance with a purchase. Unfortunately, I had a very disappointing experience. The service was incredibly slow, and the floor staff seemed uninterested in helping. I spent 30 minutes looking for assistance before finally giving up and leaving the store. In the end, I went to Bing Lee instead and received much better service there!
Bought a pair of earphones was reassured it was compatible with Samsung galaxy by a jibihifi staff member. Went home. Was not. I'd say don't trust jibi workers. Need to do a bit of research
Less than a year ago, we bought a LG C3 tv at JB Hi-Fi, and the salesperson recommended LG and their Extra Care insurance. So instead of getting a $700 Chinese tv we ended up spending $3500!!! Unfortunately, within less than a year, the tv started experiencing issues and did not power on! I contacted them and to my surprise they had LG to contact me for repairs (no refund or anything!). The process with LG has been quite slow (10 days since sending them the videos and serial number) and frustrating. Don't buy their extra insurance it's a scam. And don't buy LG! Go with the cheap and high rated Chinese ones!
Got scammed by JB HI FI Macquarie. I was on a $65 Telstra plan. One of your colleagues told me to port into JB HI FI network because there is no difference... for only $52. Turns out, I could no longer make international calls and had to pay an extra $10.
Tried to call and ask about a modem. Spoke with Sam today who was unintelligible in networking products. Asked to speak with a specialist, he refused and told me to come into the store which I refused to make a pointless trip if they could not support. Told me to go elsewhere. Holidays are coming around quickly, I will certainly remember this experience. Avoid this location if possible. CBD locations at Worldsquare and Broadway are better options.
Terrible customer service!! Never felt so bad after visiting a store.. the girl at counter was mean towards me the whole time and asking her help was just like getting in another trouble. Omgh don’t even ask anout their maths . They prolly gonna fail the KG maths test🤌
I have purchased multiple items from this branch for about 5 years, and for the most part I'm actually a fan and happy with their products and staff members. But one terrible experience can really ruin the image of a brand for me. I've recently purchased an expensive item from them (Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold) and enjoyed it for a couple of weeks. Only for me to realise that there's a factory defect on the cover screen. There's a small gap between the frame and screen on the lower portion of the cover screen. Enough gap to slide a piece of paper in between. Instead of a helping hand, i got a heated exchange from 2 of the staffs who were adamant that there's nothing wrong with the unit. I didn't see them make an effort to carefully vet the unit and just keen on declaring that there's nothing wrong with it and it's the same as their display unit. Which doesnt really hold any bearing for me considering the existence of bad batch is not impossible. Even the cashier lady that initially took a look at the phone said she could immediately spot the issue. Eventually they initiated the process of sending the unit to manufacturer for further assessment which is a hassle but a process i need to swallow. The guy who took my information was visibly impatient and even entered my details wrong. When I pointed it out out, he became more frustrated and basically insinuated i misspelled my own name and he didnt have a part in getting my personal information wrong (email address and given name, this is not ideal because i wont get any updates on the progress). Ultimately, I walked out of their store feeling bad and fuming with disbelief on how they handled that encounter with their loyal customer.The experience of returning an item for assessment for a plausible defect shouldn't be this inconvenient. This is actually an opportunity for the organisation to step up to the plate and provide genuine intention of helping. If this doesnt change, ill be shopping from a different store or brand altogether who are happy to have my business

It was the worst experience ever! Waited 30min for someone to assist and been told to find the product on the self myself. There was nothing on the shelf and by then he told me there is no stock in the shop! Waisted 1hour!!!

Seriously some of- if not the best customer service I have ever received at any shop. From start to finish, Mel assisted me with my purchase of an LG TV amongst other items, helping me to get best price wherever possible which freed up my budget for other things. She was never pushy at all and really patient, but most importantly, she was really knowledgeable about the TVs and installation services I asked about. My interactions with other staff at the store have also been really positive. Will definitely return to JB HiFi for future purchases, particularly at this store.
Recently shopped at JB at Macquarie. Was initially looked after by Callum and later on George for a sound bars. Can’t say enough to thank them for the great service and knowledge of the TV’s and sound bars. They are true to their word and did price match from another retailer. Great range and heaps to choose from. Would definitely recommend anyone looking to purchase a tv or other home entertainment good to visit JB Macquarie.
**Warning! JB Hi-Fi’s Mobile Extra Care Insurance Scammed Me!** A year ago, I bought a Samsung foldable phone at JB Hi-Fi, and the salesperson strongly recommended their Mobile Extra Care insurance. They said foldable screens are prone to issues, and with the insurance, I could get a brand new replacement within two years if the screen broke. So, I spent over $200 on it. Today, when a crease appeared on the screen, I contacted the insurance company *Square Trade*, and what they told me was shocking! First, they suggested I contact Samsung for a warranty claim since the phone was still under the two-year manufacturer’s warranty. I was stunned: if I could solve the problem through Samsung, why did I buy your insurance? After some back and forth, they finally told me they could replace the phone but only if I paid an additional $149 excess fee, and the replacement would be a **refurbished** phone, not new! When I bought the insurance, no one mentioned that the replacement would be a second-hand refurbished phone, nor did they tell me about the excess fee! It's outrageous! I refused their terms and threatened to file a complaint with the NSW Ombudsman. The operator seemed a bit nervous after hearing that and said they would check with the manager. Later, they came back and said they couldn't provide a new phone but could repair it for $49 or I could go to JB Hi-Fi for a refund. In the end, I chose to complain to JB Hi-Fi and got a refund. I didn't want to waste more time on this issue. **A warning to everyone in Australia:** JB Hi-Fi’s Mobile Extra Care insurance is a scam! It’s actually a product of *Square Trade*, which JB resells, and the service is far worse than just going through the brand's warranty! If you’ve already purchased it, go and ask for a refund from JB Hi-Fi—don’t waste your money!

I recently purchased a smart tv, and the level of customer service I received from Ravi was absolutely top-notch! From the moment I walked in, Ravi greeted me and my partner then assisted us as we weren’t entirely sure which model to choose. Ravi patiently walked us through all the options, explaining the features and benefits of each TV. What really stood out was Ravi’s in-depth knowledge of the TV models. The entire experience was seamless, professional, and personalised. Some of the staff memebers need some customer interaction training as their behaviour is very rude and arrogant. Lot of stuff packed in small space and has very limited options on display. Can be very busy so if you are expecting for someone to explain you the products and assist you then it's not the best store. For collection it's convenient as its located on the top floor near one of the parking areas.
Today I buy MacBook Pro to surprise my wife with silver colour which she loves but they surprised me by packing midnight one. They ruined my whole party mood. I don't suggest this place
I recently purchased a Air Purifier from JB Hi-Fi and I couldn't be happier! The staff member, was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. They took the time to explain the product's features and helped me choose the perfect option for my needs. The product itself is fantastic and has exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend both the product and the store!
JB Macquarie took my phone in for repairs, then held it for over a month, then LOST it, then refused to give me a refund. Don't trust them with your money.
Brought some broken cord ear phones, went back 5 minutes after purchase. Was told they don't exchange earphones under any circumstances. Had acouple bad experiences here, won't be back.
Store was empty and employees stood around doing nothing. I was ignored for so long as no one came to help and when they finally did, I felt like I was being rushed and an inconvenience to them. I’ll be going to officeworks next time.

I’m writing to express my complete dissatisfaction with management of JB hi-fi Macquarie centre Today, I purchased a MacBook Air and specified to the sales person and cashier that I needed to use Afterpay. She proceeded to say tap your phone at the pay terminal, but didn’t ask me specifically, or confirm what card I was using? so the transaction ENDED up going through on my smart access instead of Afterpay. I only realised once I was home and this is now resulting in me having to initiate a returns process, which will take 3 to 5 business days for the money to be back in my account. I expressed to the manager, the inconvenience this is, and could he please compensate me with a gift card or $50 considering the mistake and the fact that since March of 2024. I have spent over $5,500 dollars in their store. While I understand, they might use the same process for payment on their end, it is crucial for the sales person to be verifying with the customer method of payment, and they normally do. Example;: is it Visa or Mastercard. None of this was relayed today resulting in this incredible mistake. I am utterly gobsmacked at the way I’ve been treated considering how much I’ve spent.

Refused a JB deal Looking at wireless earbuds I asked a salesperson for a JB deal. Despite your CEO saying we can haggle they offered me a measly $4 off the JB price. I walked into Bing Lee and paid much less next door. What good is a policy if your staff don't follow them when they are in writing and pushed by your CEO via the media and in your written advertising??!?!! The salesperson said they would do me a discount only if I purchased more items as a bundle. I was extremely offended. Saturday morning
just went there and the girl with bleached hair is the rudest girl over the billing counter. Just thinking how even she got a job when someone doesn’t have any manners to deal with customers. Worst experience will never recommend anyone to go.
