Big room but tiny bathroom ! The food at the restaurant were good with 10% discount for hotel guests. Free car park!

Reception staffs were friendly and supportive. They ready to help whatever you ask. House keeping staffs didn't work properly. They didn't remove rubbish from bathroom and clean the room.

Stay was ok, rooms are not sound proof, location is fine, BWS, KFC and Macca's nearby. Check in process can be better though

Amazing

Hotel was great, didn’t realise it was situated over the top of a pub. But we didn’t research. The supreme king bed was the absolute best thing ever! So comfy and nice big comfy pillows! Sink to wash hands located in room not toilet which we found odd and cleaner only made 1 side of the bed not the other. But great friendly staff, clean room pretty darn good for the price!

Staff were great, great location to stay in. The doors are not that soundproof, you’ll here all the chatters and trolley coming in and out especially when you are near the security door.

Highly recommended! Pretty nice staff, very helpful! I should say”appreciate your help!” to the male bartender and housekeeping team who was on the morning shift at 19/01/2025! They assisted me with a lost earnings!

Nice and good place

Absolutely the worst service I’ve ever experienced. While trying to check into the hotel, I presented my Victorian Government App eID, only to be met with an incredibly rude receptionist who snapped, “In Australia, everyone needs a physical copy of ID.” This is completely false, and their tone was dismissive and condescending. The lack of professionalism and blatant ignorance was appalling. If this is the standard of customer service, it’s no wonder people avoid this place.

Our family recently stayed for three nights across multiple rooms and we were very impressed. The rooms were spotless and comfortable. A special thank you to AJ, who was a delight to work with and managed our last-minute bookings seamlessly. We also want to express our gratitude to Kas and Daniel for accommodating us on such short notice and arranging a wake downstairs in the bistro. During such a challenging time for our family, their kindness and support made everything so much easier. Thank you once again. We look forward to returning and exploring the beauty of Tasmania under happier circumstances.

Not a bad stay at all. The staff are very lovely and welcoming and the spacious rooms and very private, safe and quiet. The only thing is that the fridges need replacing, the air con is noisy (in some rooms and not others) and the bottom door going out to the street to downstairs is very loud when it shuts. For a light sleeper like myself, this can frighten you awake however it’s not used that often thankfully. Overall it’s a very convenient location and they offer you a free drink each night too! Trying to upload pics here of the lovely bath 🛁 but the platform won’t let me for some reason.

I would recommend this place and especially using the platform trip.com. I like the trip rewards and incentives that are offered as it all adds up. No hotel has lost a booking yet in trip.com however with ******* and wotif, they have both lost a few bookings of mine and have been different dates booked than done online (no fault of my own, it’s happened more than once now). Trip.com refund you immediately however ******* takes around 7-10 days.

For what i played and what we got was discussing roo. For 2 only 1 chair to sit on. No stuff to wash cups up with no microwave for $180 night its a rip of considering. My daughter stayed at different place gor $120 beautiful room water view.and had 2 chairs plus a couch, microwave sink to was cups in. Would not recommend and would not book again. Oh and they charged me again lucky I looked at bank account.

I always seem to sleep extremely well when I stay here. The rooms are very well insulated and the heat pumps heel it cool or hot. The bath was a nice surprise too in room 18. It’s safe, quiet, welcoming and comfortable.

Great stay again. Thank you to the team at the Carlyle again for their greet service and the inviting atmosphere. Compared to many other hotels I have stayed at for work and leisure travel, this place is unbelievably safe, private and quiet.. (the rooms feel sound proof nearly). They are very spacious and clean this particular room that I was upgraded to even has a bath which was a nice surprise. Very happy and booked 4 nights again for when I am off work soon. Shout out to Kashun, Kelly and Wendy.

I only ever have had wonderful experiences staying here. I sleep so well in the massive new king beds, hear absolutely nothing (and I am a light sleeper) staff are professional and thorough and you actually feel welcomed by the staff. The prices are great especially through trip.com and the process to book/ change/ cancel is very easy for a solo traveller like myself.i was fortunate enough to have a very clean bath in my room too and i never use public baths or spas! Shoutout to Kashun, AJ, Sulove, Daniel and the house keeping staff Wendy and Kelly (and the other girls)!

This place is clean with king size super comfortable beds, nice and quiet rooms and it is very close to an array of food options including both formal dining and take away. The staff are lovely and friendly. Cannot complain! Also given a complimentary drink too for each night you stay.

Lovely stay at the Carlyle Hotel again. Very impressed as to how private the rooms feel. Many hotels I’ve stayed at have been frustrating as you can hear everything however the accommodation here is great in being extremely quiet even when they are booked out. Thank you 🙏

I stayed at the hotel for more than one night and will return again too. The staff are nice and friendly, the service is fantastic the rooms are spacious, clean, safe and quiet. The free car park is really handy. Close to the supermarkets too.

Such reasonable prices for the rooms here. These new king size beds are absolutely amazing to sleep in and I’ve had such a wonderful rest whilst staying here at the ‘Lyle. The staff go out of their way for you while you’re a guest and are absolutely lovely. Big Shout out goes to Wendy, Kelly, Kashun and Daniel especially for being wonderful. Thanks again, I will be back.

Room was lovely and big, very clean. Bed was super comfortable and after coming out of hospital such a welcome relief. Only issue was that someone was being loud in the corridor at 11:30pm at night which was annoying. And then you could hear everyone leaving in the morning. Other than that it was a lovely stay.

Nightcap Carlyle Hotel proved to be situated well, extremely friendly staff, and very clean and comfortable accommodation. We even had freebies such as a breakfast cerial pack, plenty of tea, coffee & milk.

Was a quiet stay and clean no microwave or anything except a kettle so should be atleast 15% off on meals just show your hotel key.. instead of 10.. but in all that it's worth the stay

This place is a bit of a let down with a room that smelt like old socks and left over hookers? The restaurant food was a bit lacklustre with me experiencing a very dried out chicken schnitzel, with a portion serve that leaves a lot to be desired given the price tag. The wait staff appeared to be not interested in what they were doing or trying to achieve? The beer is good and cold and tasted just fine

Stay for a week while waiting for settlement date for a new house. Most of the staff at the bar/ check in were great. Housekeeping were awesome,cleaned and replenished things every day. It was a nice experience.

We stayed here for one night as a stop over. The roomwas nice and clean and just right for a short stay. I would recommend staying here. We also received a free drinks voucher to use at the pub which was a nice touch.

Not much room in bathroom and unclean on wall😉, otherwise very happy with services. Many thanks for vouchers for the drinks 🍷 and kid ice cream😊

Noisy children running up n down hall first night here, disruptive. Not sure what policy is but didn't appear to have adult supervision. Rooms are dated and very basic but definitely adequate enough for sleeping etc. Bed was super comphy!!! Excellent water pressure in the shower. Would have loved a tea towel and cloth so I could wipe bench after making coffee

All is clean, but it’s a bit far for a familly on holydays.

We stayed for Cadbury marathon, which starts Cadbury Factory in Claremont. The location is not only good for the event but also not far from Hobart town centre, which is 10 minutes by car.The carpark space is shared with BWS.There are two complimentary water bottles in the fridge.We really appreciated their kindness to let us have late checkout about 12pm. My husband could take a shower after his 42km run!

The location of the hotel is great with various eateries and supermarkets nearby.We were also provided with welcome drinks. The rooms were big and spacious

Assistant manager Nicole was extremely helpful with our stay. Very clean family rooms with kitchen, lounge, bathroom separate toilet at a very reasonable price I will be coming back. It was perfect for the family to pick us up from airport. Plane was late food was kept warm. Service was excellent. A very big thank you from both our family's.

What great value! The room's are so spaciouse. The staff are great. Nicole was especially nice and goes out of here way to make us feel comfortable and at home.extra bonus points for that. And the free drink vouchers are a big bonus. Its accomadation that keeps on giving. Very highly recommended. 5 stars

great atmosphere

Great comfy stay a little noisey @ times but very comfy beds!

Bed was clean but room was damp and smelled . We used the heater but it didn't make any difference. Andrew could try breaking out in a smile now and then I'm sure it would do him the world of good.

If you haven't slept on a King Coil mattress you are missing out had the best night sleep ever. Having the restaurant and bar close handy was also awesome. Definitely recommended to stay here❤

My son had massive party at the Carlyle me and my husband's family had best birthday party especially our nephew's and neice had a great time and our family are very happy with their meals they were are very quick easy to serve or meals were so happy thankyou again lov simcich family 😀😀
