Stellar service from Page/Paige in the print shop today (28/12/2024) – she was incredibly patient and helpful as me and my fiancée printed off signage for our wedding. Hopefully she can get the recognition she deserves for great customer service and customer care!
Customer service is always terrible. I went to Officeworks this afternoon 27/12, to purchase a laptop. After 10 minutes waiting in laptop area, I asked for assistance from a young man, said he would come back and didn't. Asked 4 different people over the following 20 minutes and no one came to assist. The store was not busy at all and plenty of young staff walking around with no sense there was any need to try harder than work slow. I was waiting all this time with another couple who wanted to buy a laptop. He also asked for assistance twice and nothing, so he left. This is not the first time I’ve received terrible customer service at Officeworks. Customer service at Good Guys and JB HiFi, is far superior, where the staff move quickly from one customer, seeking out the next, and are knowledgable about the product. For comparison Officeworks staff act like its a bother to be asked for assistance and seem happier to either wonder around or stand around talking to each other. Ask a question and they seem to be guessing at the answer. Suggest you train your young staff and managers in at least basic customer service, or lose customers.

Doug in the printing services is always absolutely delightful. So polite, cheerful, and helpful. I real kind soul. He always makes it a pleasure to do any printing task required, no matter how big or small the project.
Not sure why they have a phone number as they don't actually answer it, just refer all 4 options to their website or to come into the store. I was give a product code in store and told to call to see if it is in stock! This stock is not available to purchase online or click and collect. Really pathetic service. I'm able bodied and have a car. I pity anyone without mobility trying to get assistance.
Sophie helped me finding last piece in stock during rearrangement period of shopfloor, and quickly assist me. Thanks, I really needed the socket adaptor
My family member recently made a purchase at this store, and although the payment process was a bit complicated at the final stage, the staff Liv and all their colleagues were incredibly patient and professional. They worked through the issue and resolved it smoothly. I’m extremely grateful for their help. I believe this is the best officework I’ve ever been to. Thank you
Im not usually one to do reviews haha but this was not a good experience that i usually have here, i waited for about 5 minutes with noone in line to print a label. there were two workers at the computer at the back talking amongst themselves and saw me standing there. I finally printed my label which i said didnt have to be colour she said it would be an extra 35 cents for the sticky label i said thats fine. Then i got charged 1.15 for colour printing when it should have been all up 75cents now i guess its a bit petty for 1.15 but idk seems like the staff member that assisted me was not on the ball
I just went to this Office Works to confirm details on a click and collect (that I placed way too late for when I need the items). Matt served me, and went above and beyond to help me see if the item was available in this store, and search for the items availability at other stores, going as far as calling them to double check that the numbers in the system were correct and the items would actually be there. I really really appreciate all of Matt's help today, he's an assest to this store.
Pick up counter waiting for more than 10min and all staff (4people) having a very good conversation, knowing people waiting. They just ignore
Hi Office Work, here I am back again , to share another compliment about one of the great staff who went out of her way to fulfil my requirement!! She was very great with her knowledge & with her great expertise she guided me to purchase the stuff according to my budget!! As I am visiting my grand daughter today & to do some art work together!! Thanking you What an awesome service rendered by SHAKEIA . I was desperately looking for a place to get it printed my itinerary during my stay in Mentone & she managed helped to get that requirement fulfilled. Many Thanks

The biggest Officeworks I’ve ever been to, and it looks fantastic! The range is massive, and the staff are helpful and friendly. It is easy to get lost though and the entire centre of store is a little overwhelming when looking for a specific tech item. The aisles aren’t labeled as clearly as your regular aisles and the great big displays kind don’t necessarily correlate with the items around it, i.e. smart home stuff is next to the Apple displays. So if you are on the hunt for something in particular, you best just ask someone where it is. However, you may also just have fun browsing the many aisles while on the hunt.
This isn't for the store its for one legend of a woman who served while buying post packaging today and asked if i was okay. I thought i had done something wrong, no my stress and tension was showing. I have been out of work for 6 months after being made redundant and was buying the box because I started thrifting to make some money. Thank you to whoever you are for noticing me and asking if i was okay. I almost cried in the car.
At Mentone Officeworks we had amazing experience with our purchases especially because we were served by Hayden. Hayden was great. He helped us throughout with his impressive customer skills and willingness to help before and after our purchases. Thanks Hayden.
If you want photos, don’t bother. You will wait an eternity. Self service is a waste of time and if I could give customer service a ZERO I would.

Michael in print shop was very unhelpful. Printed my files way to big. Then had the nerve to tell me he’d recharge me for reprints but he has no idea how to. Ask for someone else or really dumb it down for him.
I went there yesterday. Worst customer service ever. Very few customers in the shop and too many staff. Only one thech staff. They will welcome you but will send you ro the wrong direction. No willingness to help a customer at all.....

Worst customer care - ever. Stood at the front Enquiries area for 10+ minutes waiting for advice to where to find anything in the Mentone warehouse … people behind counter passed by me with so much as an indignant smile and after all the que for sales was gone … turned her back to do something else?? Too big … no human contact!!!
Went in a month ago for a faulty laptop, but unfortunately I wasn’t given good advice. Since then my laptop was just experiencing the issues more often, so I brought it back in today. I was looked after by Niall and after inspecting my laptop he immediately recognised the fault, after going through some channels and because of my difficulty the first time I came in, I was given an option by both Niall and the manager to change my laptop. The entire process was easy and I was very well looked after, he went on to help me choose a new laptop and gave me lots of advice. He made sure to ask if I needed a usb-c to usb-a hub should I have any usb-a products at home too. Which is a blessing because I wouldn’t have thought about that myself. Niall has incredible customer service and has amazing knowledge on all things technological. So happy with my experience today and genuinely couldn’t have asked for a better staff member! :)
Today, I visited Officeworks and sought assistance from four different staff members to locate an item. Unfortunately, two of them admitted they didn't know, while the other two directed me to the wrong place. Moreover, most of the staff I encountered were rude and unhelpful, with only one exception. Additionally, my attempt to print photos using the self-serve station ended in frustration after waiting 40 minutes for the upload, only for the computer to crash with no help from the manager. I left the store empty-handed, without my items or printed photos. I will not be returning

Attentive staff and lots of products. Have never found anything to be out of stock in all my visits. Staff are always happy to help when needed.

This is my first time writing a review on any store, but I am honestly appalled with the management here, the other week i came into the store to return a faulty chair, and the kind cashier told me that she can do the return but will need to get managers authentication, Hayden then showed up and started asking me very condescending questions acting as if I had broken the chair on purpose. He then proceeded to continuously talk down at me as if I was a child. After a long 20 minutes and a lot of him talking at me, we got the situation sorted and I got the return/swap for the chair. If Hayden is like this with customers I can’t imagine what he is like with your lovely staff members.
Thanks to Matt in Print and Copy for helping my brother and I to print a LifeSize poster of our Mother after she was killed skydiving in Paraguay. Great margins and finish, Matt very knowledgeable about paper - our hero for the day
I’d like to thanks Jade at print and mail service for the best customer service I have ever had. After a very frustrating attempt to have a print and email sent that day at another officeworks at Nepean Hwy, the staff there make it looks like it was impossible to be done. I went to Mentone to try and was attended by Jade an absolute, caring, helpful, good manners and lovely person that went beyond and made it possible! Jade is a keeper and because of her capabilities and ability to help I’m now a loyal customer to Officeworks Mentone store!! A big thanks again, to Jade😊

Waited a whole day to get damaged prints, terrible customer service. Didn't bother to call to tell me my prints were ready. You've lost a loyal customer
I know you are trying to get people to use your self service printing, but the wait time in having a special print done is just too long
So disappointed yesterday with the service at OW Mentone. At 4pm called in to purchase a replacement iPad and a Square. There was another family waiting to be served as well. One of their sons accidently tripped an alarm on the display iPad. 3 customer service persons immediately came over to switch the alarm off. And then proceeded to walk away. One did ask if we needed help and when we both said yes we want to buy an iPad he said he would find someone to help. 15 minutes later no one had come. I walked out. The family walked out behind me. So sad that this is the level of service one can expect at Officeworks Mentone. Off to buy from JB Hi Fi instead.
I cannot be happier after my visit. Huge thank you to Matt. I don’t know if it’s cause I am in orange (tradie)and looked hopeless, but I printed 2 large documents and Matt’s service was second to none. Matt jumped on me, and treated me like I was the only person in the busy store, and guided me through printing service, options and price and made it so very easy. Customer service is sadly lacking in many places in this day and age, and his assistance with all of my needs for printing, guiding me through all the process from email, and I walked out super quick, and a very happy camper with professional folders and a definite return customer. Get more guys like Matt at every business!
My first time visiting Mentone this evening. This is by far the furthest Officeworks I’ve ever been to and I’m NOT disappointed. BIG THANK YOU to Team Member, Mitch for assisting me. ‘You went above and beyond , despite having to pull out the large ladder and when you couldn’t locate what I was looking for (cardboard rolls), you did not hesitate to double and triple check. I’m really grateful for the customer service. I’m also really happy I can go ahead with the crafts I’m planning for the kindies tomorrow. 👍🏼’

Massive shop (maybe their largest?) with a large variety of stock as expected.
Don't expect great service or any for that matter from the print team" here. Better off looking elsewhere for your printing and binding needs. You may order a double sided 184 page doc and only get sent out 15 pages and guess what they wont even fix it up for you or give you any updates. Disgusting."
I went there to get a few supplies and was met with some great customer service by Blake got all my needs done straight away no fuss.
The kids playground is too dark. The blue slide has no lighting so it’s pitch black and spooky inside. (From my 3 year old son).
Print service always very slow and have to wait for quit a while even there is multiple staffs at the back of the counter. Feel like onsite customer is not prioritised. Today, I wait at print service queue over 10 mins and was told to use the self service, where there is only two people (including me) at the queue.
Great experience in printing section, as an older member of the community it can feel intimidating. An older staff member made my task very easy showing me how to print out on the computer and complete the task.
Came in to pickup some invitations today, that the store had misplaced. Thoroughly annoying. Thankfully there was a lovely man in the print and copy section who offered to reprint them for me. I would’ve given a great review as he was very kind and made sure to use a specific machine to give them a better cut finish. While he was cutting these for me a young woman in glasses who i assume was running that department, came over and started belittling him right in front of me. Telling him off over and over for using the machine that he was using to help me correct their error. Stating that “wasn’t a priority today”. The rudeness in the way she addressed him was disgusting to say the least. She made a point of him not following the list of todays task over and over. Just so unnecessary and a really poor example of management. You should teach your staff that you can address employees on the days tasks without being rude. Especially in front of your customers.
I was recently at the Mentone store and came across an extremely helpful sales person that I'd like to mention in this review. His name is Jianni. Jianni was so helpful, polite , patient and professional. He went above my expectations and I was so pleased with his help. 5 star customer service with a smile. Thank you Jianni. Requested printing and binding service, booked in the time, went to pick up and they hadn't done it. Very poor customer experience, don't go to this office works if you need any important work completed
Very ordinary experience with the passport photographers here. If they don’t have the skills to take the photo of a 2 month old, why advertise? On calling the store prior to going there, they confirmed that they will do it for a 2 month old and age doesn’t matter. But on reaching the store they are saying they can’t unless the kid can sit on his own. Please educate your staff about the specifics of the services they offer and also hire some photographers who actually like what they do..
Haven’t had good experience with ordering fridge magnet from Officeworks Mentone. I ordered 4 different magnets from 4 different images and they gave me 8 magnets of the same photo. What am I going to do with 8 similar magnets? And the answer is order again and pay again!! No way I pay again to waste my money!! Very disappointed of Officeworks!

Terrible service. All large format printers down so you can’t print a thing. Staff looked confused and tell you to go to Highett whom then tell you to go to Mentone where the printers don’t work. Circus.
Just like to give a massive thank you to James who helped my partner and I tonight with our internet cables 10mins before closing!! It had been a really frustrating night and he helped us tremendously. Thank you again James!
Today l went to print a picture to put in a frame. I initially had it photocopied however the size wasn’t right. Then l tried to download it as a photo, however again the size wasn’t right for the frame I’d selected in store. An assistant from the print area asked if l needed help so l gladly accepted. She walked me through the process which took maybe 10 minutes, all for a 40 cent photo (and a $10 frame). She was so patient and helpful I’m sorry l didn’t get her name to add to this review. Outstanding service.

Worst Officeworks I have ever seen. Run by bunch of teenagers that has no idea about the products. Max the person who served us seems to be lost in his own world Went there to buy Samsung m7 monitor where store had 4 in the stock but max could not locate it for 15 min. He went to get additional help and started serving another customer. I didn’t want to buy the monitor there. I ll spend my money elsewhere. Honestly this is the worst customer experience that I have ever seen
I'd been struggling to get passport photos done for my 19month old. I took my daughter in this morning, and again she was sooking and very reluctant, making it really hard to get a decent photo. But Helen was patient and kind, didn't rush us at all, and finally we got a passport photo we can use! Really great customer service

Last night I came in looking for a new desk and I left with a new orange haired friend, big thanks jack being as patient as we was and offered great customer services. Personally I wish we had more jacks working in retail nowadays no one offers as much help as jack did he took his time to show and talk me those the different desks I can purchase as I work 8 hours from home behind a desk next time I need stationary I’ll definitely be coming back to this specific Officeworks to visit my new orange haired friend, big thanks jack you champ!!!
