Great food

Probably help to hire some staff. After sitting at the bar for ages waiting for service I had to hunt down staff. After finally finding someone a sat back down at the bar and told her my order and she acknowledged me and then turned her back and served a group of people that just walked in. I was the only person sitting in the bar up till that point. I left and told he thanks for the service. I won't be back.

Beautiful evening. Great atmosphere. Friendly staff and the service from Camilla (I hope that's spelt correctly) was exceptional. Our beverages were tasty and great prices. The food was absolutely delicious too. We will definitely be back Highly recommend Well done to this management and how courteous their staff are...

We came in for a quick meal before heading to a show on a Saturday night. The fact that there weren’t many people in the dining area should have warned us. The music coming from the speakers was so loud that we had to shout at each other to be heard. When my husband ordered our meals at the bar, the waitress obviously couldn’t hear what meals he ordered and when she read them back he couldn’t hear what she’d said, resulting in one of the orders being wrong. The waitress took the meal back to the kitchen explaining the error, I presumed. She then returned it to the table saying “It’s what you ordered and I read the order back to you”. Then she plonked it back in front of me and left. I ended up with a pork chop instead of a poke salad. I can’t eat pork. Which I explained to her. She just walked away. The meal remained uneaten and I went hungry except for some chips from my husbands plate. I’m not quite sure what I was expecting but there was no follow up. Would you like something else? Etc. Anyway, we won’t ever be going back there to eat. Oh by the way we could smell the toilets from where we were sitting. Turn your music down!

We had lunch here, the service was great, very accommodating, we have our daughter in a wheelchair and they made us very comfortable, we had the chefs 👨‍🍳 special and it was delicious.. no complaints. When we visit Adelaide again, we will definitely eat and drink there again..

Huge menu with a great range of classic pub food and more adventurous options at a great price. Came on a Wednesday night for a work event and meals were delivered quickly. Atmosphere was great (and aircon kept up well on the hottest day of the year!)

Exceptional service and I was skeptical when I thought how good a pizza could be at a pub. I was blown away by how nice it tasted. Modern take on pizza but the flavours complimented each other so nicely

Reviews said best pub in Adelaide. Ordered an Imperial pint, “pirate life south coast”. Gave a $20 note, got a $2 coin back. Sat down thought about it, went back to the bar and asked if I accidentally got short changed…..nope $18 for an imperial pint..should ask the price before ordering. Nice glass and drink but will never go back! Hard lesson learned and I live in Western Australia so I am used to paying miners prices 🤢🍆

The steak was extremely dry and sinewy (ordered medium rare), and underseasoned. The fish of the day with chips was extremely overpriced for the size, and also underseasoned.

Nice service, good food and choice of beer.

The restaurant was extremely noisy, making it difficult to have a comfortable conversation. The seating arrangements were very congested, which added to the discomfort. As for the food, it was average at best—not bad, but nothing impressive either. What stood out most was the cold behavior of the servers; they seemed indifferent and not particularly welcoming. Overall, I left feeling disappointed and unlikely to return.

Had a lunch last week with a group of friends. Food was very good. Staff were all polite and prompt. Meal took a long time to arrive but the place was full of Xmas parties etc. so got to expect that

Went on a Monday night with friends. Quiet but still waited an age at the bar. So called craft XPA and IPA’s were very expensive and tasted off. Had a scotch fillet off the specials board. Small and very expensive at $48 but nicely cooked. Men’s toilets were vile.

Bar staff were unresponsive and rude. Men’s toilets were DISGUSTING! Absolute swamp.

Calling yourself the “best pub in Adelaide” doesn’t actually make you the best pub in Adelaide! What a misnomer! We came in for some food and a drink on a Wednesday night. The bistro area was dated and depressing, and so was the food! We ordered beef schnitzels and they were grey and unappetising. (The chips were delicious though.) The nearby men’s toilet was feral and could be smelled from the main bar area.

Tofu veggie stir fry was top notch. Chef knows what they are doing. Also friendly staff and good selection of beers

Helpful staff, food was delicious, and well presented. Our small group that came in last week for lunch were very happy.

Good food and atmosphere

Pub situated in Central Adelaide, public car park. Good choice of food, public sport TV,friendly staff.

Live jazz combined with pub food made for an enjoyable dinner. Salt and pepper squid was lightly fried, fries had seasoning but disappointingly the side salad covered in mayonnaise. Would have been so much better undressed.

Was only there for after work drinks so can't comment on food. Service was okay considering we were the only people in the place. Think it was a quiet arvo as I walked past it the next arvo and it was busy. I could plenty of daily food deals on the wall an nightly activities. Had a nice little for place to gather around.

Food was pretty good and a good selection of beers I had a Parmi that was cooked well moist and juicy with good colour and chips were devine, wife had fish and chips fish was snapper I think and again well cooked not over done like majority! Then I needed the toilet 🤢 absolutely disgusting paper towels everywhere the stench of stale urine fills the air as you open the door last time I witnessed anything so bad was as a teen on a Saturday night at the woodshed! Urinal was close to overflowing on flushing cracked tiles just filthy I’d hate to see the rest of venue! This was only a mid week dinner also I did mention to the young waitress but I really don’t think she understood! Will I return? Don’t know food was ok but there is a lot of other good places that don’t make you feel sick on entering bathrooms!

ANZAC DAY, absolutely amazing 👏

Overcrowded and noisy today which is expected being that it's Anzac Day. Disappointed that I couldn't get Johnny &Soda as they were only selling cans of Johnny and Cola which has too much sugar for me.

Beef schnitzel was tough, no steak knife provided. Hardly any chips and not enough sauce for the meal. Seems to have gone downhill since my last visit.

Great pub. Had the fish and chips and the cheesy garlic bread. The gooeyness of the cheese was incredible and i have never had fish so fresh. The sea was floating in my mouth. Definitely 10/10 for the food

Great meal.

Dropped in for a feed during a solo business trip. Lovely atmosphere, even some live music. Not intrusive if you sit in the dining area in the back. Friendly service and very attentive on a busy night. I ordered a beer and a wine (both for me) and the wonderful barman arranged for the wine to arrive with the meal. Most restaurants can’t get that right. Steak was perfect. I’d give six stars if I could. Great pub menu with something for everyone.

Popped in for a lovely Guinness, unfortunately only stayed for the one as it was not quite up to par, poured from a standard tap (no push to top up) and head was much bigger than standard. Tasted thin too, not a full blooded Guinness taste. Other than that, the place is warm and comfortable, love the wood fire aroma in the lounge. Didn’t have a meal so I cannot comment on the food.

Fantastic place for our Reunion. Miraj was magnificent helping us with a space and dining room places. Met up 20+ people in town for the Gather Round. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the Hotel and meals.

Nice atmosphere for inner city pub dining. Hard to beat the location & deceptively big on the inside. Friendly relaxed staff. Just before Christmas so had to pre order for a set time, which they served punctually. Thank you.

Good friendly staff, great food, nice pub.

Nice venue. Good service. Good drinks. Meal burnt and only luke warm and served with minimal I mean like 15 chips. Big plate, small meal.

The lamb rump was a little on the tough side and the main dining room could use some sound dampening.

We went there from my office yesterday. I had ordered a tofu and cashew stir fry. Can u imagine there were no cashews in that. I am not exaggerating when I say not even one. This was bizarre. Hope they take this as feedback and next time someone ordered a tofu and cashew stir fry they will put atleast one in it

Foreign barstaff.... have no idea what they doing. One asked me last week if I wanted sugar in my Jack Daniels and coke.

Great chips/wedges (Friday night drinks)... Excellent selection of tap beers. Just don't get the booth just to the left at the end of the bar near the toilet. Got wiffs of toilet whenever someone went in or out.
