Lovely views from Rooftop Bar. Friendly staff, great food menu. Their Octopus Skewers were delicious, cooked till tender with a slight char. Our Margherita Pizza had a lovely chewy crust. Extensive beverages menu. The perfect relaxing place to hangout on a sunny afternoon!

Beautifully decor bar, good location. Just had dinner there today and the service was incredible. Billy is very attentive and made our night.

Went in to have dinner with a friend. Loved the ambience. Very friendly staff. Our server Bhabishya recommended some of the popular dishes and we tried those. Loved all the food. I went to the telegraphs roof top today service was top tier. Calla was the person who served me she did an exceptional job today. She made sure there was never empty or dirty dishes sitting in-front of me very quick with her feet that one. She also was very polite and does a swell job at making one feel welcomed to the establishment. The roof top was such a great place to have a few drinks , I loved all sunflowers making the place feel very bright with excitement! I will be coming back!

We weren’t greeted by any staff, we ordered the Guinness pie and steak sandwich and both our meals were cold which was very disappointing considering the price.

The smell of the toilets going down the stairs was terrible. How can they serve food and drinks. Unbelievable in this age.

We stumbled across the Telegraph Hotel by accident, drawn in by their offer of $23 parmis. We ended up venturing to their rooftop on for a couple of sneaky Pornstar Martinis, which were delicious, and stayed until sunset! We decided to return the next night for Wednesday Drag Trivia hosted by the entertaining and beautiful Astridisiac, enjoying more Pornstar Martinis ($12 for drag trivia!), made lovingly by Caleb, the bar tender. Despite feeling like the only gays in the village, we found a perfect LGBTQIA+ safe space to celebrate our last night on Hobart.

Week 48 of attending drag trivia, I have developed and addicion that is ruining my personal life. My wife and children have left me, I try to remember them but see only Astrid and the friendly bar staffs faces.

After a long time on the road we returned to our favourite drag trivia place The Telegraph hotel. To our dismay the prices have gone up so much. No more pizza special but $30 for a medium size pizza and a large glass of wine nearly $25 - what a disappointment- won’t be back for dinner next time but looking forward to the quizz. So sad the locals are not thought of

The staff had no issues with finding our group of 4 a table despite making a late booking. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals and the service was excellent.

disappointing - entree's served with mains, hair in salad - neither addressed when brought to the servers attention. Cider given instead of requested ginger beer - barman rectified once notified - food staff need to take note from the bar staff. The above happens BUT unfortunately the response from the serving staff was uncaring.

We went with friends for the best trivia ever. A drag trivia with the unique and delicious Rosa. You want to go there and enjoy the perfectly made Pornstar Martini. It's the best pornstar you'll ever get actually.

We initially came this afternoon for a drink and a meal. We went to the rooftop bar. We did not order food as we were disappointed and dismayed how sticky the tables and floor were. Also remnants of drink spillage on the table stand. Menus and cutlery boxes stuck heavily to the tables. Was not impressed

Good location, nice service from a barman who knew his wines and gave some good advice.

We recently dined with a large group for lunch. All the meals were delicious (the lamb shoulder just fell apart), and the service from our waitress Celine was outstanding. She was friendly and happy and anticipated our needs so we were never looking for someone to order another drink. A few of us returned on another day, and again Celine served us. She remembered us and we again enjoyed a great lunch. Thank you.

Great spot and great renovation. We ordered our drinks and sat down. After 25 mins our drinks hadn’t arrived and the 3 staff were at the bar chatting and drying glasses. When I went over to see how our drinks were going they said the order had gone missing… one of the drinks the brought over was wrong and the other wasn’t great so we finished them and left. Will go back because I think we were just unlucky …

Great place is all I can say. The rooftop bar is amazing with a great atmosphere and awesome food drinks and service.

We made a reservation for NYE dinner. They reserved a table for us in the rooftop but all the tables were occupied and the staff didn’t help us find it. We were moved to the dinning room on the first floor by another member of the staff. The food was delicious and perfectly cooked (we had the chicken schnitzel and the cauliflower gnocchi). Waiting staff looked overwhelmed and distracted but most of them tried their best to provide a good service.

We have been traveling through Australia for 5 weeks and had by far the worst dinner ever here. The fish was not seasoned at all, the kale was mushy and the panzarella salad consisted almost entirely of cucumber. Our reserved table was occupied and we had to wait 15 minutes for it and a simple bag of kaetoffel chips was only brought after three requests after 35 minutes. Absolutely not recommended.

Had a fabulous meal with visiting family. Will definitely be back! Food was excellent, as was the service.

Had this place recommended to us by a friend for our holiday. On our last night we decided to try this place out for dinner on boxing day, the food was amazing and the cocktails were delicious. The staff were very friendly. Would recommend trying the glazed chicken tenders for an entree as the glaze and sauce were to die for.

Stopped in for an afternoon drink, very friendly service, good tunes.

Food was okay and service was okay. They are too busy to even be attentive. Nice cocktail menu but pretty pricey.

A really rude staff member named Isaac left us with a disappointed feeling of service from this bar. The way he spoke to us was unnecessary and rude when telling us to move, even though we were being served where we were at the correct placement. Really disappointed. Not to mention the bar tender using his hands to put the ice in the glass.

Clifford made us feel welcome and accommodating to the whole group!

Ironically cheaper than a Priceline wig. Costing less than a Shiploads can of Coke. Resplendent in her Glory Hole. With a much mentioned chest infection, Astrid carried on. More phlegm than a Scottsdale truckies bum. More death rattles than a RuPaul drama series. But oh. How we loved her. The acid blonde dry as a dead dingoes donger. The Spotlight on sale rhinestone singlet kit. The mucky tuck. We will be back. 5/10

Nice but too expensive

$11.50 for a non-alcoholic beer is too off putting to stay. 🫣

A disappointing experience. Person behind the bar had an obvious noticeable cold. We had to decontaminate our glasses before drinking from them. Food on plate was both hot and cold at the same time. Hot pie served on cold mashed potatoes Cold, dry burger pattie served with the ends of the tomato you usually compost. Pattie did not seem to have any seasoning. Very bland $27 burger but at least the chips were hot. This venue looks nice but does not deliver to the same standard.
