Love this place

The food is good nowadays but the best part of goin' to this place is the service by Kristy she was fantastic. She is up for a laugh even when she has a full house thanks mate

We still love the atmosphere and the food here. The dining area is nicely decor'ed and the service is efficient and friendly. The Prawns in creamy Napoli sauce and bacon is delicious if you love bacon bits as the sauce is quite loaded. It is a little too much as it may detract from the prawns. However, the Beef Ribs were well presented. The meat was tender but still moist and dry and fibrous. The sauce flavoured the dish wonderfully. It is our regular place to dine.

Another fine meal enjoyed. My husband had the BBQ Beef Ribs, I had a taste, soft and juicy, great taste. I had the Paprika Creamy Prawns with Bacon. Great concept but I found that the bacon overtook the Prawns and the cream sauce. Maybe a little less bacon. Looking forward to our next meal. Cheers Maria

It is a good facility I love watching the dogs in person and found security to be very on the ball when it came to someone grabbing me around the throat

Still a great place

Good quality food and cold drinks at reasonable prices. You just need to re-adjust to waiter service and remember to pay before you leave. (I was nervous I'd forget). But it has a nice interior and the staff were pleasant and provided great service. We will definitely go here again.

A fun place for the whole family. Plenty of space for young kids to run around in, Dawson's has a great pub and Asian menu and upstairs at Sandown the prices of the bar menu is very reasonable. Yet to try out the buffet but it always looks great when walking past. My kids especially love the greyhounds they can pat which promote the greyhound adoption program.

Meals are really nice. We had four main meals and two senior meals for a cost of $190 which included some drinks.

First time we have tried this venue and it won’t be the last. The greeting was friendly, the wait staff were fantastic. Whoever trains them to be so friendly and helpful deserves a medal. There are 2 menus - pub food and Asian. I ordered the honey spicy wings to share for entree and the pepper beef and fried rice combo for main. The wine list covers most varieties and the prices are reasonable. Thanks for a great dinner.

Had the beef and Blackburn with fried rice. Was lovely. Meat just melted in the mouth with lots of vegies. Price was great. Service was wonderful

Meals are good service at times can be a bit slow depending on How busy they are .If you are a regular at the TAB the Manager who has been there for years will give you special preference .

Love coming here, the service is fabulous and the meals are huge and yum even the seniors meals. Big shout out to the serving staff, especially the lovely Kristy who always makes our outing most enjoyable 😊

Not so good today. Had to wait a long time for my meal. Some people at our table had finished eating. Not good when out with friends for lunch. Steak was cooked perfectly, veggies were cold.

Don't play machine at this place because they will take all your money and you never win...

This review is for the Sandown Greyhound Club restaurant: Enter the Sandown Greyhound Club and pass the TAB room on the left, or the pokies on your right and continue through to the restaurant. This is probably one of the best rstaurant in a sportsclub in the east of Mebourne. The restaurant is luxurious and very spacious, and does not interfere much with the TAB and pokies. There is a very good selection of dishes, including a seperate Asian menu, if you like that. The food has been upgraded and made better than a few months ago, and the portions are very generous! The service was decent, although a member of the staff was not very experienced, but nevertheless very kind and accommodating!

Rude staff nowadays. More interested in personal chatter than listening and attending customer needs. TAB staff farcical. Always behind the back wall. Why ? Then don't communicate on screen viewing just change no idea. Behind bar old chap offensive. Never listens. Just yapping to staff idle chatter. Lift your game has/had potential.

As always, lunching at Sandown Greyhounds was a pleasure. The food is excellent and reasonably priced. The service is friendly and they welcome seniors.
