Cheap prices but pray that nothing goes wrong because standard consumer protections will be ignored. You are better off paying a few dollars more elsewhere.

$25 for 2 x led strips that can fit in a standard envelope and you want to charge Parcel Post - Standard Service $22.45." I suggest you check shipping prices before purchasing from here. When will these businesses that gouge shipping realise that we are not idiots?"

I did purchased QNAP NAS from CPL online then received the order invoice then nothing updates by email / voice call or message for the shipment then just sent them email asking the updates then the member said that they cannot get my order from any suppliers then will refund me later, ater 3 days still not received the refund yet, so I will contact them again both email and voice call on next monday yet, really disappointed for their Services.

Ordered an item that was slightly on sale. After paying they waited a while to tell me they don't have it stock and asked me to buy something else. Asked for a refund instead and nobody replied. I gave the business a call then was put on hold for about 15 minutes before finally being told I'll get a refund It took about 1 week with no confirmation I was getting a refund on the website.

2 day express delivery paid for a part essential to repair a critical computer in a business, ordered on 26th of september, they didn't receive the part until the 4th of october (that's right: they are dropshipping with intermediate warehousing!) and the part is set to arrive on the 10th of october. Seriously, don't waste your time or money on these lot, go through umart, centrecom or scorptec. Scummy practices here.

I don't get the bad reviews. Yes, the empty cases are weird but the service and price is great. Thank you

Doesn't understand basic fair consumer laws and rights, will make you run through hoops repeatedly if an item is faulty, horrible processing and communication time through out the whole ordeal, correspondence ignored when requesting a refund on an item until further pressed, just for refund to be denied and told to contact manufacturer, whilst manufacturer tells you to go to them. If you buy from them, make sure you know your rights and don't let them hassle you around, as they will do that in hopes you simply leave it, don't leave it. If you don't like the fight if you do find issues, don't buy from them.

Bought a motherboard off their website that other retailers didn’t stock, then I saw the reviews and was super nervous, but the motherboard arrived in 2 days and I was able to pick it up no problems Building does look abandoned and could use a clean but parts arrived, price was reasonable and everything works well

I purchased a new camera from cplonline, upon receiving it they had sent me a second hand product that had been open and used. The camera lense was scratched - cables bent and a power cable which doesn’t fit supplied the entire package isa mess. Don’t trust this company! Update: After making this review CPL sent me a replacement power cable, once which actually fit the device. I’m updating from 1 star to 2 as at least I can use the device now. Is still suspect they sent me a second hand / used product.

I ordered an item from CPL on 22/06/24 and was contacted by CPL and told that it was a special order and had to be paid for upfront. The CPL website says available in 2-3 days. So, I paid $145 upfront as requested and have made multiple phone calls and emails after a week of waiting in order to get what I have paid for, as it is desperately needed. Today (15/07/24) after chasing up CPL again, I'm told that the item will be available to pick up in Melbourne this week. Other suppliers have the same item in stock and I explained to CPL that I can wait no longer as I need the item today and to cancel my order. CPL have refused to cancel my order and refund, advising that the item is a special order, although other suppliers stock this item. I have been promised the item is on its way many times and don't have any faith in CPL. I recommend buying elsewhere. Very poor customer service. Never pay upfront as you will have to wait excessively for your purchase.

very bad Management and salary

Straight forward transactions so far. Sometimes they want to sell better quality slightly pricier stuff, and they won't try to explain if you are insisting on dirt cheap, which might be disappointing later.

Bought a new gpu from these guys, they had the only stock left in AUS of the card I wanted. Replied to my inquery super fast and shipped it to me the same day. Very happy with their service and my new card :)

very helpful sales staff and wide range of products

Why does this place have bad reviews? Oh my goodness! The speed of service was incredible. Ordered a battery to replace in my laptop. I live in Mt Barker SA. 2 day turn around. (Actually, more like 1.5 day). I used StarTrack Premium. Cost me a little extra - but the whole transaction was so smooth. Installed the battery. Laptop is working like a charm! Very happy!! 😃😃😃 100% recommend!

The worst place to buy anything. Do not go, do not buy, and do not take anything even if you get them for free. They hide behind a testing policy - blah, blah, blah. Customer service is totally absent / non-existent, and they do not know much about the products they sell. One of the guys I met there was loud, rude and uncouth. I will give this place -2 billion stars.

Very good. Retrieving products a little slow but excellent prices. Cannot return RAM after purchase because sticker is torn. Not good, in some rare cases it won't work with your system.

I only buy from CPL when I have to, and when that happens I just have to pray I don't have to ever lodge a warranty claim with them. I have had many bad interactions with CPL over the years..from rude/argumentative staff to bad warranty procedures. It all seems to be catching up with them though, the place seems like a ghost town these days and it's getting more and more run down. And soon CPL will likely just be another lesson in what not to do.

Been going to CPL for awhile, staff were nice, got everything I needed. Store does seem to need a bit of love but didn't impact my experience.

Firstly, CPL wasn't my first choice. However, they had the stock I needed. I called in on a Saturday morning to confirm if they had stock, which they did and pleasantly, they answered the phone immediately. I headed into the store, and honestly I wasn't sure if it was abandoned or not. The building is in dire need of a serious cleanup or overhaul, there's ducting and tins everywhere at the entrance. The front door doesn't operate, and the carpet looks as if it's coming apart. Inside, the glass cabinets appear like they were once used to display products, but now sit empty. The store is cold, atmosphere is empty and there's nothing about this store which speaks 'Inviting' or 'competitor'. As I walked to the front desk, I walked back and forth waiting for someone to greet me, after a few minutes, there was an employee sitting behind the front desk, whom was completely out of site, and didn't really seem to care that we had just entered the building. We promptly asked the employee if they had the stock we were looking for, and suprisingly they had placed it aside. Relieved they had stock, considering most reviews reflect incorrect stock etc. We asked to see the motherboard prior to purchase, as to be frank, I didn't trust the store, or the employee at all. The employee was hesitant to show us the board, and once we politely asked again, we took the board out of the untaped packaging to ensure everything was visibly untapered with. Afterwards, the employee kept walking out the back with the board, and returne to the front desk 2-3 times, unsure as to what he was doing, we just waited until he proceeded to, what we assume checked out inventory. The board works, but I don't think I'd shop here again. I hope management will put some effort into the store, visually both externally and inside, as well as communicating with employees to promote welcoming customers. I wish these guys the best, but for what it's worth. Local competition is miles ahead in both service, stores and by the reviews, customer relationship.

RMA came through in the end but took a while.

Always have stock of IT gear. Friendly and efficient staff.

Do not recommend. We’ve dropped off a lap over a week ago and get zero updates. We’ve had to call three times to try and get an update. Poor communication do not recommend.

Be careful these guys aren't good if you have a problem with your product arriving DOA I purchased a monitor from these clowns and it arrived DOA broken screen now they are refusing to pay freight back to them and replace the item. Consumer Affairs here we come. Don't buy from these people.

Good prices

Tried to like them, but have fallen over the past years. - Website stock levels do not reflect actual stock - In store staff work at glacial pace to serve you and act as if your an inconvenience - Despite having tens of thousands in prior orders, including some the day earlier they refused to sell a low demand i3 CPU by itself (pickup) unless I ordered a whole new system

False and misleading information regarding ordering. The online website shows a pre-ordered stock item will be stocked by a store transfer or shipped within 24 hours but once you make payment, you are advised 24 hours later that there is a lead time of 7 days but no where is this shown at the time of ordering or before payment is made. These are breaches under Consumer Law as it is false advertising and false and misleading information. Consumer Affairs do your job instead of advising you will gather this information for intelligence purposes which does absolutely nothing as no action with no results is actually nothing.

Worst place to shop. You buy stuff take it home and when you open the box, if it’s physically damaged they won’t accept it back. Moreover they won’t ask you to inspect it in the store as they know then they have to take back if it’s damaged. Don’t try your luck here, go and buy from the genuine stores these guys are thieves. Buyers should buy at your own risk.

I don't like writing bad reviews. But pretty bad customer service.

CPL is a scam online company. You purchase a product online you don't get nothing they just take your money

Item was in stock so received an email straight away that it was ready for pick up & was able to collect the next day.

I've always had great friendly service from this company. I have brought many products over the years. Highly recommended if your looking for computer parts.

I’ve been here a few times to purchase computer parts. They have a good selection at competitive prices. I’ve never had any issues with the parts I’ve purchased. The staff are knowledgeable and professional. There is plenty of parking, but it is not close Tor transport.

I made my way to CPL in West Melbourne as I have done a few times in the past and my experience was incredibly good. I came prepared with a list of components for my desktop although I thought it would work well it wouldn’t so Stephen worked with me to get the desired outcome. Later on, we found out that the cooler wouldn’t fit so they sorted that out over the phone. I’ve had the desktop for about a week and so far so good.

他们家的退货条款就是霸王条款,今天彻底体验了一把什么叫做中国人就坑中国人。 一个很便宜的零件用都没用过要了我10刀的restock fee。还和我说让我去看官网的信息,这种店大家真的少去少找不自在!

Good prices and a good range of products

Not recommended. Out of stock for items I ordered and paid for. Failed to refund shipping for unavailable ordered item. A suggestion for improvement: Remove unavailable items (especially EOL) from website's product list.

They agreed I could return an item for store credit due to it being faulty. Over a month later after receiving the return, which they marked as returned, and that tracking showed it was returned they didn't give me any sort of update other then it's being processed. Over a month later they didn't process the credit or refund me so I called them, as they wouldn't address comments I left in the RMA, and I told them I don't want store credit anymore I just want a refund which they couldn't process as they didn't have a manager in, on a Monday afternoon, but they have supposedly emailed for a refund. Poor communication if any, employees who you get redirected to if you select the warranty option on their call system don't have permission to issue refunds, and I had to wait over a month and be the one to initiate any and all contact.

Cpl say the the best IT team they have no clue what so ever they have no idea about loptop chargers they didn't even know what a battery pack charger was I bought a charger for my daughters loptop that she uses for school the charge they they sent me was a after market one it has destroyed her battery is fully charged it dies in 10min do not trust them it's a waste of money not only that they want you to pay for shipping cost even though it's there fault

Ordered hardware that's in stock, paid by CC, 2 hrs after the order I get an update that it takes 1-2 business days to process. Hello? Pretty bad service I would say.

Bought a canon printer, after 4 weeks waiting was advised it was ready to be picked up. Decided to get replacement cartridges then for convenience. After the cartridges provided with the printer indicated low ink levels, after 6 months admittedly but printer only used intermittently, inserted the cartridges supplied by a CPL staff member. The manager has no idea of customer service in a situation where the staff made a mistake, admittedly my word against events from some months ago but seriously, but anyway will not proceed with any action. My advice to customers is check the advice you receive from staff, then check again They were not recognised, even when I rang to say this the staff member said they were the correct cartridges. Even I could say that was not so from a search of Canon’s website

Bunch of sooks on here. I have always had good experiences with CPL. Order online, prices are the best, pick up and pay in store the same day. Easy peasy.

Customer service doesn't exist here, unless you are Chinese, then they're happy to be friendly with you. Prices are good which is why I go here but even then, they will be happy to charge you more than what's advertised on their website. The price just went up""

I ordered a Synology NAS Power adapter and realized the motherboard of the NAS device is faulty. I just unpacked the power adapter to check that. But I asked them to return or exchange but they declined it. I asked for at least a 50% refund and I will pay the return charge but they did not accept that either. Worst customer service. Global online stores like Amazon also accept returns within a couple of days. They did not deserve at least one star but I cannot post the review without adding a star. Avoid it and don't buy anything from them.

I used to love coming here because of one friendly staff here but everyone else there is horrible to deal with. Customer service is horrible and if you have to return anything, pray really really hard that they'd let you do that and not charge you an arm and a leg to do it even with items untouched and unopened. They're the typical fly-by-night store that will charge you anytime and everytime they think they can get away with it. Avoid it like the plague! The low advertised prices are just the lure to hook you in!

Business in tech is not easy and often computer business make a loss if there's an incorrect order or product sold (sometimes through no fault of their own). This order of mine went from 2 stars to 5 stars because CPL chose to wear the cost and refunded/exchanged my purchase after advertising a Intel nuc unit incorrectly. Problem is Intel never advertised that this unit existed and they're likely to escape criticism, because our heat is always directed towards the seller. I'm giving 5 stars to CPL to commend that, in my case, they stuck to a good business ethics and wear the cost through a refund. I just hope they get their money back from Intel. As with anyone who want to buy from places like CPL, always do THOROUGH research before purchasing a product, and for expensive items, always take a screenshot of the product description from their website before you purchase it. Enjoy!

Warehouse pick up store for CPO Online which has great range of products that are well priced mostly.

Friendly helpful service.

I came in at closing time like a jerk and my order wasn't ready yet (actually it was out of stock). Instead of slamming the door in my face and telling me to come back next week, the salesperson suggested a similar motherboard that, it turns out, is so much better than the one I was waiting for. Super happy about this outcome. They seem to care about their customers to the extent where they stayed working slightly longer than they had to (for someone like me), which in my experience is quite remarkable.

The worst shopping experience I have ever had. Avoid at all costs.

Rating this business a 1 seems to good. 5 months after dropping off a faulty item and these clowns still wont refund the item. Consumer law doent mean anything to these people. They are thieves.

I've been dealing with CPL for over 10 years, and always find they offer excellent service and great prices. Most recently, they picked up that we had paid for an order twice (once online and then in-store) and they had proactively credited us the double billing. Such good customer service.

I ordered a simple USB y cable and when I received it, I called them to ask for a longer cable and they said. They will not accept the return. They said it's against their terms and condition. I am not gonna read the terms and condition for a simple damn cable. I didn't even use the cable. It was a plastic bag and they said their supplier may reject it. I mean come on. It was in a resealable bag. How can you say it has been opened or not. Worst customer service. Avoid it.

Brought a laptop in for repair and was told a part would be ordered for it. Followed up 4 weeks later to be told the part was never ordered and a deposit was required in advance, which was not asked for at the time. No apologies offered or responsibility accepted and just told another 3 week wait was on the cards.

Don't bother wasting your time or money with these people. Absolutely terrible customer service. Centrecom is much better.

Quick service, reasonable knowledge on parts

No Credit Card charges huh? Back to PLE I go. So um... No Bank card 1% fees online but treated like 2nd class when I come to store. Hope the $2 was worth it. Should be giving me $2 for visiting this 1970s style shop that time forgot

Dishonest and thieving company . I purchased two Orico SSD enclosures from them . The product was advertised as being able to transfer 20Gbps per second . After extensive testing it was only capable of doing half that amount . I called up Kitty to have the other unopened and sealed Orico returned and she told me that it was okay to get refunded . I went into the store and then was told that she had spoken to her supplier and they said they hadn't received other complaints (as if they would tell her otherwise). She then charged me a 15% restocking fee for a brand new and sealed product even though i was nice enough to keep the one i opened and by consumer law i could have returned both without a restocking fee. Please strongly reconsider purchasing from this place as they are den of thieves and do not care in the slightest about customer happiness.

Waiting... Terrible website, service, products, staff...EVERYTHING Still charging credit card fees...OMG I wish Scorptec takes over the premises, so it's closer to home.

Horrendous, sold an item not matching description won't refund. Have to take legal action to get money back. I am not shopping here even if I am desperate, I cannot support them in principle.

If you want to burn some money, spend it here. If you want to purchase a product and receive it, go elsewhere. Support non existent, stock levels on website and ETAs a blatant lie. As others have said in their reviews, you may save a few dollars, but good luck actually receiving what you pay for. Pay the extra few dollars at another retailer (statice.com.au is a good tool). In the process of a dispute with Fair Trading now.

Beware!! This place has a handling fee for returns but I was not informed about it at all. I emailed earlier to check on the return process but the person left out this important detail. Jeff did not mention anything when I told him exactly what I was trying to connect my audio to. It doesn't make sense at all that he knew what was happening and I might return it but left out the handling fee in the emails. I am truly unhappy and disappointed with this kind of treatment that I was charged. It's a matter of principle and I felt shortchanged. I emailed Jeff later on but he insisted he was right and do not want to make any effort to understand from my pov. Utterly spoiled my experience with them!

on 15/11 I have cancellled an order $2899 due to unknown eta. I was advised that refund will be done within 2 days. Few days past no funds in CC account, I followed up via email, call and was told they been busy and will process and that I should receive funds within 2 days, they also asked for my bank account so that they can transfer (odd since I paid using CC, but I did provided my bank account).... few more days past still no refund. I followed up via email and call, again execuses and that refund will be within 2 days.... Periodically I have followed up over the 2 weeks, today 29.11.21 still same excuse, still no refund. would not want to imagine the after purchase service would be like, could be waiting for months/infinity. Please refund my money immediatrely as I need to make purchase from another computer store.

Never buy from here! The dodgiest place ever. Returned some monitors as they were not going to fit. They opened the box admitted to it then wouldn’t return it. After they had written an email saying they would.

If only theres 0 score. Sold a faulty product, but they wont refund in full. Better buy from well known seller than this fraud.

Update: now had a problem. Very, very poor RMA experience with a week wait for CPL to test a fan and indefinite wait for the manufacturer to replace CPL's stock. Yes, they ignore consumer law and insist you wait for them to be refunded. A week to plug in a fan. These people are hopeless and they simply do not care about the customer.

If they sell you something broken they will not accept a return lmao. They are also extremely rude.

Horrible customer service, please don't buy from them unless absolutely necessary when there are much better retailers around.

Bad experience..don’t buy this bad service..

Great place to buy computer hardware. Specially if you know want. Click and collect is fast and prices are great.

They have almost everything, they need to be a bit more friendly that's all. But good prices

Great prices

Can't rate it low enough for what it deserves. Worst service I've ever seen, on the multiple occasions I've had to visit. Customers waiting around for over half an hour without even being attended to by staff, and then ridiculously slow service even for a simple click and collect. I sincerely hope I don't need to come back to deal with any service issues.

Nice and quick pickup from payment to click and collect. I thought it would have taken longer because I paid with bpay. Good to see CPL doing well during lockdown. Thanks for being around. Best Regards Wes Ray White Blackburn.

No idea why reviews here are so low. CPL, especially during lockdowns, have been my lifesaver! Yes, maybe you probably should know exactly what you want before you come in, but besides that you get exactly what you ask for and that is always quick and prompt. Prices are low and getting that 1-2 extra cables last minute to run whatever crazy set up I’m building at home while the VIC government is still working out how to set us all free - thank you CPL - JBHIFI and Officeworks have got nothing on your promptness. 👍🏼

Nice staff, always helpful and professional. Solved all my IT needs

May as well add to the 1 star reviews. Ordered a video card back in May, was told it was on order, then they told me that I had to reorder it now at the new price and the order was cancelled. Off to Scorptec to buy my hardware.

I ordered an RTX 3060ti close to MSRP for more than seven months, and they couldn’t deliver. I am well aware(and respect) of the shortage. However, CPL didn’t provide any updates. Every time you call up, they will not give any updates. In other words, they haven’t done anything to help the customer. In addition, CPL is one of the biggest retailers in the country. I am unsure if CPL cannot deliver the card(at MSRP) or doesn’t want to? My brother ordered a 3080 from PLE. Ple couldn’t deliver as well. However, Ple has always tried to sort out the issue. For example, my brother got priority to order a 3080ti at a close to MSRP.

i would have given them 0 stars if i could... customer service is non existent, $1600 brand new laptop faulty, almost two month later no refund, no replacement, no communication from CPL.

Sales rep became defensive and angry with me when I hadn't even said anything about him, the store or my issue. In taking the higher road and walking away he started getting upset, very strange in customer service. Only buy here if you're really desperate.

Items listed as in stock that aren't actually in stock, inform you months later that the order has been cancelled, and then eventually refund your money after several emails. Other reviews here of the same or very similar experiences, so I'm not the only one. One of the worst PC companies I've come across.

Rudest customer service ever! Brough laptop charger didnt work. Sent back to the CPL Notting Hill for replacement in June after after 2 months no update. Call the Notting Hill store saying they couldnt do as it not their job. These guys a bank robbers.

Worst customer service and absolutely rude
